Good home brew hydrometer.
The hydrometer works well & has been used for making apple cider. These are fragile so it needs to be handled with care.

WARNING VERY Fragile
well ,it worked well the 1st time i used it , Sterilized and noticed a piece was missing at the top ,Ordered another one took it out of the box to sterilize it dropped it on a vinyl floor from 30cm bottom shattered FML will get another one as quick delivery,tbh it does say extremely fragile on instructions......

Danger to life
This hydrometer made my kitchen a risk to life. The item arrived damaged and half of it came out the packaging easy peasy, the rest was stuck and obscured by the instructions and smashed on the countertop. Now I'm scrubbing every inch on my kitchen and still finding lead balls. That's right, LEAD. If this smashes in your house, your pets and children are at risk of death just because you cheaped out on an object that shouldn't so easily pose a risk to life.

Perfect with a caveat of being brittle.
My first one turned up and appeared fine, until I placed it into the cleaning liquid, and it filled up. I was going to look for another brand after that, but I was talking to a colleague who said they are just very fragile, and so he had a couple turn up broken. So I did the only sure thing and bought two this time. You may be asking why 5 stars, if the first was broken. When I accept that they are fragile due to needing to be buoyant, the containers, padding and everything else for the price seems perfect. Just don't go throwing the box away until you've checked it over and made sure there are no cracks via a water test.
