I've completed one sprint triathlon prior to registering for a half distance and purchasing this book. While I am only starting week three, I've read through the plan multiple times. There are several measurement errors probably from transferring data from the full ironman plan, but they don't affect readability. I'm a very seasoned runner, a mildly seasoned bike commuter, and a complete novice swimmer. This plan is helpful for beginners because it doesn't go deep into intricate programming like specific hills or track workouts which might overwhelm new runners - same for swimming and cycling. The workbook/journal aspect is also well thought out and useful. Overall, my enthusiasm and motivation is as high as when I registered for my race. Review: 70.3 ✅ - Edited to add- this past weekend I completed my first 70.3 after utilizing this plan! I finished with a time under my goal, and my body felt better than I imagined. Prior to starting this guide, I couldn’t swim 25y and I didn’t own a bike- so truely a beginner! Signing up for my next race and will buy again to document as I go. I liked being able to cross off and document my workout vs plan. Training plan is legit. Officially start training in a couple weeks and excited to put the pieces together. This guide has been crucial for my prep!

Easy to follow plan for anyone!
I successfully completed my first 70.3 (and first triathon ever) thanks to this plan! Plan does a nice job of laying out weekly works-outs and additional information to help prepare, including nutrition, logistics, and transitions to name a few. There is space to journal as well to help track progress, goals, etc. I highly recommmed this plan and will use it for my second 70.3 this year.

❤️ Love the added journaling sections
Bought the full plan, thought it was a solid B+. This one I like better, because it has a weekly journaling page — love that I can keep track of my workouts, sweat studies, fuel plans, etc. all in one spot.

Not worth anything
It’s really not that good. It’s the basic “you need a why” and the program/nutritional info is very minimal. Would not recommend at all. Couldn’t believe this was the first thing Amazon recommended me.

Good but use it in conjunction with other resources
Great for a first timer and/or an Ironman branded event. Really breaks down the kit needed. It is nice you can write on it to record progress. Printing is a bit off/ blurred as I think it was originally an ebook. There are QR codes. It is US focused as it uses yards/lbs/miles. Also some mistakes as it discusses the iron distances, maybe a copy and paste error if they have an iron distance book. Overall a nice book to compliment others but I will be doing more brick training, very little sessions or focus in the plan. I like that you have a variety of strength workouts included each week.

Printing error?
Printing on the pages all over the place - some pages back to front and/or upside down, some print missing. This book is not useful. What a waste of money.
