Good reliable Zigbee Vibration Sensor with loud alarm and good sensitivity options
Bought to make my washing machine smart per se, and to use with ZHA via Home Assistant. Like other ThirdReality products, this vibration sensor paired with no problem, fast. The sensitivity control is inside the unit itself, so to test, I left the unit on the desk for a while to see how sensitive it picks up the vibration after pairing before actually putting on the washing machine. Picks up fine with Medium sensitivity, but still monitoring the patterns for fine tuning. Wish this sensitivity control was via HA rather than opening up this device if needed. This doesn’t hugely affect the rating of this product for me, but some may think this is a blocker. By default with this unit, the alarm option comes enabled. Or at least mine did. This control also is inside the unit and it will beep while pairing if forgotten to disable it. I can confirm, really confirm, that it is loud! Loud is great for an alarm, but had a little hard time disabling this with my finger while pairing and ultimately using small screw driver to disable (turn the switch off inside the unit) with tiny force as I did not need this functionality for my use. I can see that this can be totally useful when used for home security. This isn’t the first ThirdReality products I own, and all of them have been pretty reliable altogether. Firmware OTA update is pretty sweet, and all of their products had no problem after upgrades.

Flawless, integrates with Amazon Alexa. Detects when washer & dryer are done
I got two units, one for the washer and dryer I taped them on top of the appliances at the back corner with painters tape, so it’d be on more of a frame part than the thin middle portion Both devices were set to the maximum sensitivity levels to ensure it can pick up small loads of laundry Using an Echo device that has the Zigbee hub built in, the Alexa app made it super simple to deploy Works flawlessly every time! Because the Alexa app doesn’t support a suppression period in the routine, I will get a false alert 2 minutes after opening the appliance door - but it’s pretty easy to recognize & disregard. I could set this up with a different system like Home Assistant - but it’d be a bit of a pain to acquire more hardware and maintain another local home server Before this, I could never tell when my laundry would be ready due to dynamic wash / dry times and not being able to hear the appliance beeps Getting a brief sound notification on my primary Echo, as well as a notification sent to my phone as soon as the washer or dryer are finished is such a fantastic improvement to my quality of life

Useful Sensor with Loud Alarm
I added this to my smart home setup for a garage side door, and it’s been working pretty well. The vibration detection is sensitive enough to catch knocks and movement, and the built-in alarm is surprisingly loud for such a small device. Pairing with Home Assistant was straightforward and it’s stayed connected without any issues. The only thing I had to tweak was the sensitivity because it was a little too sensitive at first. Once adjusted, it’s been a solid extra layer of security around the house.

Excellent Zigbee sensor. I use mine for a mailbox monitor. Works like a champ!
This thing is awesome! Hooks to home assistant zigbee adapter instantly. Much more stable as a mailbox sensor than the old Aqara vibration sensors I've been using for years. Range is definitely better than the Aqara.

Eats batteries.
Works well, but eats batteries. 3 months if you’re lucky, and that’s with very minimal use (one or two triggers per week).

Great for monitoring laundry
I use these to monitor my washer and dryer in Home Assistant, to notify me when laundry is done. They were easy to setup, and have a reliable connection with no delay. Battery life seems fair, and like that they use AAA instead of coin-cell. Another nice feature is the customizable sensitivity.

They work great and have multiple use cases
These sensors are well-made, easy to connect, and have multiple applications. I have several installed around my house, and every day I find a new use case - (1) attach it under the sink and have lights turn on when doing dishes, (2) attach it to the cabinet doors and have lights turn on when cabinet doors are opened, (3) Get notified when washing machine, dryer, dishwasher cycle ends, (4) Get notified when mail box opened/closed, (5) I have a delivery box in my porch, so have one sensor there to get notified when I get a delivery, (6) Turn on the lights when fridge door is opened, (7) Turn on light and turn on my music/podcase when I start the treadmill ... Just unlimited use cases and very affordable.

3R Zigbee Comes Thru Again
Like all the other Third Reality Zigbee devices I have They Just Work as advertised. This Vibration Sensor was easy to setup with Home Assistant ZHA - all I had to do was open the back and remove the plastic wrap from the 2 AA batteries. HA found it very quickly. I do advise to make sure the alarm is On or Off so you're not surprised. 1st pic is on my sump pump to see if I can determine if it has failed and the 2nd one is on my shop compressor (tied with a velcro strap) just to see how often it comes on.

Great
Put it on the washing machine to get a notification when it stops moving = is done.

Works well, but 110 dB alarm is false advertising
Pros: 1. Good build quality. 2. Pairs easily (Hubitat hub) 3. Two AA batteries will provide good life. 4. Able to turn alarm on/off. 5. Good sensitivity to vibration and movement. Cons: 1 Absolutely no way the alarm is 110 dB. Not even over 80.

No more missed deliveries
I bought this to stick on my front door and integrate with Home Assistant so I’d actually know when delivery drivers knock, because too many just ignore the doorbell and it was driving me nuts. Setup was super easy and it paired straight away over Zigbee with my hub, and since then it’s been reliable and consistent. The device supports adjustable sensitivity levels, so you can dial it in exactly for your use case, which I needed to do because at first it was a bit too eager and giving false alerts. Once I dropped the sensitivity down it settled right down and now only alerts when there’s a real knock or vibration. It also runs on standard AAA batteries with a long expected life, so maintenance is minimal, and you can build routines off the vibration events in Home Assistant without needing any extra apps. Overall, this has worked exactly how I hoped once I tweaked the sensitivity. Simple to set up, reliable, and a great way to get notifications when someone’s at the door without relying on the doorbell alone.
