Amazing Camera for Photo and Video
This camera truly exceeded my expectations. After using it for a while, I can confidently say that it’s worth every dollar spent. The image quality for both photos and video is absolutely fantastic, and the autofocus system is simply incredible — fast, accurate, and very reliable. The menu system is quite complex at first and took me some time to understand. However, once you get used to it and learn where everything is, it becomes much easier to work with. The in-body stabilization is decent, but I expected a bit more from it. While it definitely helps, it’s still difficult to get very smooth handheld video without additional gear like a gimbal. For example, achieving iPhone-level smoothness without extra stabilization is challenging. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this camera and genuinely impressed with its performance. It’s a powerful and versatile tool for both photography and videography.

The Sony Alpha 6700 is easily one of the best APS-C cameras out right now.
Excellent camera. The Sony Alpha 6700 is easily one of the best APS-C cameras out right now. Image quality is sharp and detailed thanks to the 26MP sensor, with great dynamic range and low noise even in tougher lighting . The autofocus is on another level. It uses Sony’s AI tracking system that locks onto subjects and sticks with them, whether it’s people, animals, or fast movement . It makes shooting feel effortless and you end up with way more keepers. Build quality feels premium and durable, with a compact design that’s easy to carry but still very solid. Battery life is also excellent for this class, which is a big plus for long shoots . Video performance is just as impressive, with high quality 4K and advanced color options, making it a true hybrid camera for both photo and video . Overall, this is a top tier, well rounded camera that punches above its class. Other photographers will definitely recognize the quality right away.

Love it
Beast of a camera. I absolutely love the build and the pictures it takes are amazing. Has really good autofocus and has the option to take photos fast! I bring it everywhere I travel and mainly use it for photography but is also very useful if you need to record.

The Sony Alpha 6700 is nothing short of amazing. The image quality is stunning, with sharp details and vibrant colors that make every shot pop. Autofocus is lightning-fast and reliable, even in tricky lighting or fast-moving scenes. The compact body feels great in hand, making it perfect for both travel and everyday use. Video capabilities are impressive too, delivering smooth 4K footage with plenty of customization options. Pros: -Excellent image quality with vibrant colors -Fast and accurate autofocus -Compact, comfortable design -Impressive 4K video recording Highly customizable settings for pros and enthusiasts Cons: -Higher price point may be tough for beginners -Battery life could be better during extended shoots

Pro level video + photo for a manageable price
Been using this for almost a year now, and I don’t think there’s a better crop sensor camera on the market. Fully rigged it out, took it with me on several shoots, and took tons of photos and videos on it. It’s a workhorse.

Great camera but small form factor woes remain
Brilliant performance and a tiny workhorse! Eye tracking AF is amazing. Poor low light and high ISO performance.

The hype is real
This is a solid camera that takes some great photos (with the right lens). I'm coming back to Sony after using the NEX-7 back in 2012 and with a small detour via FujiFilm. I find the menu system to be overly complicated though I could say that about most modern cameras (except for Leica's recent Q series which is my benchmark for simplicity). But once things are set up using the camera is enjoyable. It is especially good for video though as mentioned elsewhere, a full battery will drain within the hour even if you're not recording. Build quality is very good and overall I'm happy with this camera. I was debating going full frame with Sony but I'm glad I went this route. It's compact enough to easily bring with me whilst still taking incredible pictures. The hype is real and well deserved.

Overheating issues but reasonable.
My a6700 ended up overheating on me during a wedding ceremony (suuuper lame). I was shooting 4K 60p in more or less short clips at a time, on a gimbal the entire time, it was a hot day (like 88F), and it only lasted for about 50min until the heat warning sign came on and 10 sec later, it shut off. But, to my fault, I had the brightness set to sunny weather so I’m sure that was a huge factor, and I could've shut the camera off when not recording rather than leaving it on the whole time. In my experience it performed decent considering I pushed it to its max, I just now know I can't rely on it in a situation like that. Other than that I love the camera, I get pro level quality video with all the latest and greatest features Sony has to offer. As for the overheating, I am hardly ever in a scenario where I shoot 4K 60p for an hour in blazing heat. That, is a very niche job which the fx30 is better suited for. For everything else that I will do: photography, YouTube, short films, family videos, and personal projects, this camera will be more than enough for YEARS to come. It’s amazing and a workhorse, and it’s worth it. And fyi I had heating temp set to high and the flip screen open. Also, I hear that the firmware update helps with heat management but I could be wrong, I updated it after the fact.

100% recomendada

Great camera.
Context. I own the Sony A7RV and the Sony A7IV with G Master Lenses to do paid work. This A6700 does the bulk of my simpler jobs (Passport Photos) with relative ease (paired with the Sony 20mm F2.8 pancake lens). It's small, lightweight and has more of a minimalistic configuration. I really like this set up and APSC body. My only gripe is the lack of dual card slots. If you're looking for good review, this is it.

Moving on from my trusted a77 II to the a6700 made me fall in love with photography all over again.
For nearly a decade, my Sony a77 II was glued to my hand. We went through countless family vacations, rainy soccer games, and beautiful sunsets together. I loved its chunky grip and physical buttons, and honestly, I was terrified to let it go. But lately, I found myself leaving it at home because it felt too heavy, and I was missing too many shots of fast-moving kids and pets. Switching to the Sony a6700 has completely revitalized my passion for shooting. One of my biggest hesitation points was my collection of A-mount lenses. I had thousands of dollars invested in glass that I wasn't ready to part with. Thankfully, pairing them with the Sony LA-EA5 adapter has been an absolute dream. I kept all my favorite A-mount lenses, and they work flawlessly on the new body. I haven't run into a single issue—in fact, the modern autofocus system makes my old lenses feel faster and more accurate than they ever did on my a77 II. The very first time I took it out, the AI autofocus felt like magic. With my old a77 II, I had to carefully place my focus point, recompose, and pray the subject didn't move. With the a6700, I just point the camera, and it instantly locks onto my subject’s eyes—whether it’s my dog sprinting through the park or my family laughing. It just doesn't miss. Carrying it around is an absolute joy. It is so much lighter and smaller than the a77 II, meaning it actually fits into my everyday bag. Plus, the low-light performance is a night-and-day difference. Photos that would have been a noisy, grainy mess on my old camera come out clean, sharp, and vibrant on this new sensor.Moving to mirrorless wasn't an easy decision, but the a6700 is the upgrade I didn't know I desperately needed. It has taken the frustration out of shooting, saved my lens investment, and brought back pure, uncomplicated joy. If you are on the fence about finally retiring your trusted DSLR workhorse, take the leap. You won't look back.
