I had the opportunity to try this product on my curly hair (3C curls, spirals, and waves). I was prepared to take the time that other reviewers mentioned would be needed to go through the entire process. It took me about 3.5 hours and I have hair that goes past my shoulders when curly and to my chest when straightened. The process is long and I followed it diligently which I think is key to getting the desired results. I even went through small sections of my hair with a straightener for a minimum of 8 passes. It was tedious and I was still skeptical about the results. And since you don't know how the hair will turn out after putting in all the time and effort it felt like a bit of a gamble. As the last step, I washed my hair and put conditioner on it and could immediately feel that the texture of my hair changed. Usually when wet, my hair still has curl - they're elongated but still there. After using the product, going through the process, my hair when wet was straight. I let it air dry because at this point I didn't have it in me to blow dry my hair after 3.5 hours. And WOW - it was slightly wavy but mostly straight - definitely would be easy to have blow dried my hair straight with the results that I got. I've had the Brazilian Blowout done professionally and the results with the DIY kit were nearly the same. I say "nearly" only because I could see the benefit of having someone else help with doing this as the back of the hair can be tough to make sure you've gotten enough product on it and you've properly passed through it with a straightener. I'm really happy with the results and when I air dry it looks like my hair has natural beach waves (which is what I remember when I got it professionally done). It takes a bit of time and effort, but is worth it if you want to avoid spending $$$ at the salon. As others have mentioned, when you straighten with the product there is smoke and a smell. I didn't notice the smell until I was closeer to my face, but saw the smoke during every pass. Do this in a well ventilated area.

Honestly- this product is incredible! The best product I've ever bought for my hair! I'm very Ocd on my hair- It took me 3hours, I have medium thick waist length hair. The product smell, is similar to home hair dye so well ventilated room is recommended. I followed the instructions to a T. 1. Wash your hair with the shampoo included- smells pleasant no issues very easy. 2. Dry hair completely 3. Section hair off into 4 sections and liberally apply product. I used a fine tooth comb to make sure I coat every strand properly and evenly distribute the product. It goes on very sticky. It also gives your hair a very product heavy feel. Waited 15min. 4. Drying your hair the 1st round is very tricky because of the product being sticky. I then sectioned off my hair and started flat ironing. 1" sections doing 6-8 passes on each strand. There will be a lot of vapour during Drying but less with flat ironing. 5. Your hair will feel product heavy and still sticky even when dry. 6. Wash your hair again with their shampoo- use all the shampoo and really wash all the sticky Ness out of your hair. Since very well. After this step my hair felt clean and light. 7. Add contionoiner the one provided- i used all of the conditioner and worked it through midlenght to ends and massaged my scalp. Left the conditioner in for 15min. Rinse all the condioner out of your hair. My hair was like silk. Super soft when wet. After towel drying my hair , I applied 6 pumps of the heat protectant provided and brushed my hair our. My hair was super silky, feeling light and straight. 8. Drying my hair the 2nd time around took maybe 10min including flat ironing. I didn't have to use my flat iron but just wanted to make sure the product was sealed in. I will color my hair in 6 days and will do another review of how my colour lasted and how long the product lasted in my hair. Seriously- if this lasts 12 weeks and doesn't effect my color. This might just be the ultimate "hair cheat code" - I live in Florida and we will see if my hair and this product work for our humidity.

I love this smoothing, it is super easy to make, it does not smell strong and I keep the hair stretched for more than two months, although it takes the dye off your hair a lot.

Okay I’m rewriting my entire review after about 5 days of having the treatment. 1- it will strip any dye out AND lighten your hair and slightly bleach any towel you use in the process. (Small price to pay, trust) 2- if you have CURLS (not waves, be realistic here) it will not leave your hair air drying perfectly straight. It more than likely will be wavy. I only did 2-3 passes during the straightening part of the process. I have thin strands of hair and didn’t want to fry it off (it says to do 8 passes but adjust for your hair, it even says to on the instructions). I actually love the waves when it’s air dried. In the video with waves, there’s NO styling product (like what?!) it’s so manageable with so much less frizz and it’s actually soft with no product in! I thought this treatment was basically going to strip my hair of its curls to where it air dried stick straight so I had given it 3 stars when I first did the treatment. Just the softness and manageability of my hair now deserves 5 stars. I DEFINITELY will be doing this treatment again in the future. 3- you can dye your hair again without ruining the treatment. I dyed mine back to the color it was with garnier nutrisse ultra crème black box dye 3 days after the treatment and it doesn’t seem to have affected the treatment. 4- If you have some damaged ends you’re worried about, just trim a small amount then do the treatment. I only trimmed .5” when I should have done more and you can’t tell that my ends were even damaged. 5-it did take around 3-4 hours total. I think carefully brushing excess product out with a fine tooth comb before blow drying/straightening helped shorten the time along with fewer passes while straightening. I also only needed one box. Even though my hair is long, my hair is not as thick as it looks when curly. People aren’t exaggerating on the good reviews. I did take the time to comb out the excess product with a fine tooth comb before straightening and then didn’t put the flat iron very high (390). It really didn’t have a bad smell and my hair smells okay after straightening it unlike before. Before, it would have a burnt smell. I spritz some perfume in the air, flip my hair through it, and it smells amazing all day! A lot of people say my curly hair is pretty but they aren’t the ones that had to deal with the rats nest at the end of the day. I now know how to deal with the Texas humidity when I go back! One picture is my natural hair, the video is of it air drying (wavy) and then the morning after sleeping on it straightened. To be able to actually brush my hair is amazing! When I brushed my hair with it straight before, it would still get puffy. This product was a life (and hair) saver!

Honestly wasn’t expecting much because my hair is very curly and gets very frizzy. I usually get a keratin treatment once a year and after tip spend about $250. Times are tough right now and definitely can’t afford that but didn’t want to deal with the frizz any longer. Decided to take a chance with this because I figured worse case I’d have to use a clarifying shampoo a few times to wash it out if it looked awful. After a clumsy start applying the straightening lotion (spilled some of the product in the sink) and forgot to put a towel around the back of my neck to keep the product off my neck I finally applied it and followed with blow drying and flat ironing, waited about 10 minutes after flat ironing and then shampooed and conditioned with the included shampoo and conditioner and I can’t believe how soft shiny and straight my hair is. I was panicking because after the blow drying my hair felt and looked pretty awful. Flat ironing it made it look a little better but still felt disgusting and I was in full on panic mode at that point. After the shampoo and conditioner though it’s gorgeous! It’s time consuming so give yourself at least 4 or more hours but worth it. The true test will be while I’m ironing laundry, if my hair doesn’t frizz then I’ll definitely buy this again.

Ero un po’ scettica sui trattamenti liscianti da fare a casa, ma questo kit mi ha sorpresa positivamente. Le istruzioni sono abbastanza semplici da seguire e il risultato finale è molto bello, soprattutto per chi ha capelli crespi, gonfi o difficili da gestire. Dopo il trattamento i capelli risultano più lisci, morbidi e lucidi, con molto meno effetto crespo anche nei giorni umidi. Non dà quell’effetto finto o troppo “piatto”, ma lascia i capelli più disciplinati e ordinati mantenendo movimento naturale. Ho apprezzato anche il fatto che sia senza formaldeide e che nel kit sia incluso il siero termoprotettore. Il profumo durante l’applicazione è abbastanza forte ma sopportabile, mentre dopo il risciacquo resta piacevole sui capelli. La durata dipende dal tipo di capello e dalla routine usata dopo, ma nel mio caso il risultato si è mantenuto bene per diverse settimane. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo rispetto ai trattamenti dal parrucchiere.

Super lissage, vraiment une valeur sûre (ca fait 6 fois que je le fais) Je conseille largement celui-là plutôt que la boîte violette de la même marque Kativa. Par contre je préfère être honnête : oui, ça éclaircit un peu les pointes. Si vous avez des mèches ou un balayage, ça peut légèrement virer orangé après le lissage. Perso, comme je n’ai pas trouvé mieux niveau résultat, ce que je fais c’est : lissage + patine derrière, et parfois une petite coupe, et franchement le rendu est nickel. Mais honnêtement, ce lissage est dingue pour discipliner les cheveux. Zéro frisottis. L’effet brushing tient même sous la pluie, avec l’humidité ou quand on transpire. Moi j’ai les cheveux qui gonflent énormément de nature, et en étant brune c’était toujours frustrant : tu passes du temps à faire un brushing parfait, cheveux lisses, soyeux, sans frisottis… puis tu sors dehors ou il fait un peu humide, et tes cheveux doublent de volume jusqu’à finir en mode Cléopâtre. Avec ce lissage, plus ce problème. Pour ceux qui ne s’y connaissent pas trop, voilà en gros les étapes : - laver les cheveux avec le shampoing fourni - sécher les cheveux à 100 % - appliquer le masque à la kératine sur toute la longueur (c’est une sorte de crème), puis enlever l’excédent une fois qu’il y en a partout - sécher les cheveux AVEC le produit dessus (et oui, c’est clairement l’étape la plus galère parce que sécher une crème sur ses cheveux, c’est pas évident) - démêler, coiffer et faire des sections - passer environ 10 fois le fer à 230°C sur de petites mèches jusqu’à avoir fait toute la tête - attendre 5 minutes que les cheveux refroidissent - relaver avec le shampoing fourni - mettre l’après-shampoing fourni - appliquer le spray thermo-protecteur - puis faire un brushing pour le premier séchage : c’est surtout cette première mise en forme avec la chaleur qui “fixe” le rendu. Après ça, plus besoin de refaire tout ça. Et le sérum thermo-protecteur à la kératine dans le kit est incroyable aussi. Vraiment, il rend les cheveux trop beaux pendant plusieurs lavages. Si la marque voit ce commentaire : sortez-le séparément, je l’achète direct. Pour celles et ceux qui hésitent à faire un lissage brésilien pour des questions de santé : j’ai vu que celui-ci est sans formol. Après, ça veut pas forcément dire que la composition est parfaite, donc si des gens s’y connaissent mieux, je veux bien leur avis. Par contre petit conseil important : évitez de mettre le produit sur le cuir chevelu parce que ça brûle. Et quand vous passez le fer à lisser, ça sent vraiment fort. Si vous pouvez le faire dehors avec un ventilo dirigé vers vous, ou dans une salle de bain avec fenêtre grande ouverte + ventilo, faites-le. Franchement, il faut bien aérer.
