Globular Cluster CMP2 Comfortable Mod for PS VR 2

I'm giving this a 5-star review despite it being rather expensive for what it is and that it may not actually solve your problem. It is, however, a quality product and it's obvious that a lot of R&D went into its design. Installation is not exactly difficult, but it is a somewhat nerve-wracking insofar as you feel a little like you're tearing apart your expensive piece of tech. Once removed (the tool is included), the replacement pads fit perfectly in the headset and, without a doubt, they are better in every way than the OEM pads. They really give the headset a much more robust and "serious" feel. But is more comfortable? Well... broadly, I would say yes, but the hotspots (nose bridge, forehead, etc.) that probably prompted you to look for this product in the first place may still persist. What the pads do, however, is give you more options -slight tweaks that allow you to move the headset around a little to alleviate discomfort, while still maintaining the sweet-spot. Also, there are several different pads that can be changed out to suit your preference -or as they degrade, which is great for extending the life of the headset. For as PSVR1 veterans know, the OEM front pad will eventually start to disintegrate. Given the quality and precision involved in this product, I think the price is justified -but manage your expectations.

I was skeptical as to just how much of an improvement this would be so I held off on it for a while. But eventually I hit a point where I felt like the psvr2 was so uncomfortable I actively dreaded putting it on so I caved. And it did not disappoint. Most enjoyment I've gotten out of using this headset by a mile. I'd like to note that you will very likely end up breaking some plastic clips trying to get the stock pads off. This is largely the fault of the headset's design, and not this upgrade to it. But just be aware you should ether be confident in your ability to take apart plastic parts held strongly together with clips, or be comfortable with the idea of breaking them. I'm fairly experienced disassembling stuff like this and I still came out of it with noticeable stress marks on the parts. If I were to put it back together and try to take it apart again they'd snap for sure. However the modded pads are built a tad more sensibly and feel like they'd be much easier to remove without damaging anything. It does also shift out of place when you look up, due to the back of your neck colliding with the bottom of the back pad... honestly it's a necessary compromise cus that back cup is doing 99% of the work holding the headset in place. I wish there was a rubber forehead pad to match the rubber back pad, Instead of it's accompanying forehead piece that's foam and fabric with what feels like a soft rubber pad under the fabric. cus I actually really like the rubber pads of the PSVR2... It's certainly comfortable. I just really don't like the prospect of throwing foam into the washing machine. The one that's supposed to be sweat resistant and just able to be wiped off... is probably my least favorite type of material... for literally anything. So I'm just going to have to deal with washing the foam pads. It's fine, I just would have liked a rubber option. But I'm sure I'm in the minority on that. And it's still quite a nice touch to have so many options out of the box at all instead of needing to buy the different pad styles separately. Overall great experience worth the 5 stars, and straight up saved my headset. I'm just nit picky about everything.

Love how heavy it is in back to balance the heavier front. Once you tweak it to how you like it its 100% perfect! No more nose pain. No more missing the sweet spot or blurry screen. I got it and played for almost 3 hrs straight with no headache or pain. PSVR2 is really good but its by far the MOST uncomfortable and painful HMD ive ever worn. If youre still having issues with bridge of your nose hitting, sore, or feels smashed Lol make sure you use the extra top head strap with the pad on it. It lifts the head set up so your nose doesn't touch. This by far improved my PSVR2 experience on PS5 and especially PC by almost 50%. It was always blurry. It always hirt my head and face. Now its how it should've been at OEM release. Sony should be ashamed releasing their VR headset in this condition. I guarantee many have returned their PSVR2 or sold it because comfort is that bad. Ive tried many headsets and none are this piss poorly made like Sonys head strap. ITS A MUST BUY!

Best ever!! So comfortable! It comes with options. Material or smooth! Fits nice! Easy to install. I am still using this more than a year later. Still good!

As someone who happily used Sony's first PSVR headset for six years, I was quick to purchase the second iteration. One of the things I loved about PSVR 1 was how comfortable it was - I regularly put in six-hour sessions playing Skyrim, No Man's Sky, and any number of other games. Sadly, and despite initial reviews, the PSVR 2 took a huge step backwards in comfort - the stock padding is moderately uncomfortable to start with, but because of the incredibly tiny sweet spot of the headset's fresnel lenses, you have to tighten the headset to such a degree to keep it from moving on your head that I found I would start to have a headache within 30 minutes. Enter the Globular Cluster comfort mod, which completely fixes that. You get a choice of both front and back padding solutions, and adjustable height for the back pad, so you can get the headset set up just the way you want it. It's really frustrating that we have to spend an extra $50 to get the comfort and stability Sony's first headset had right out of the box, but I'm grateful that this solution exists. It's a little scary to take off the old padding and install the new, but the kit provides the pry bar tool and reasonably intelligible instructions, so I was able to get everything set up in about 5–10 minutes, and I was going slowly to make sure I didn't screw anything up.

This kit actually enables me to enjoy PSVR2! The stock plastic "pads" were something with which I could never be comfortable; after a few minutes -- if I didn't have everything perfectly adjusted -- I would break out in a cold sweat, and would have a headache from the pressure on the back of my skull. I mostly stopped playing PSVR2 due to it being so uncomfortable, and definitely never used it for more than 10-15 minutes. This kit however, with its variety of pad options, and center strap, make the HMD feel lighter; it feels comfortable almost immediately after putting it on, and fits nicely. I no longer break-out in a cold sweat, and I don't get that horrible pressure-point headache. The first day I got this kit I played Walkabout Mini Golf for almost 2 hours without any discomfort. Installation instructions were also very easy to follow. This product is highly recommended; it literally transformed my PSVR2 from a piece of useless junk that made me feel bad into functional technology which I actually look forward to using.

If you own a PSVR2, this is a must have accessory! The stock pad setup, as anyone with one knows is uncomfortable after about the hour mark. You have to basically put your head in a vice to get the headset to stay, and then every so often you have to give it a little nudge to get it back to the sweet spot. Not so after installing this. I don't have to crank it down hard at all, so you don't get that squish feeling on your forehead, then the counter weight keeps it in the sweet spot so there's no nudging. I ran across this thing while on the psvr2 subreddit and I wish I would have seen it sooner since I've been getting back into Gran Turismo 7 in the last couple weeks out of boredom. I'm totally happy with it and think it's a great deal for the comfort you get out of it. Looking at the instructions after work I decided to look on YouTube and there is a video on there on how to install it but it has no sound. Installation was a little nerve-racking since psvr2 prices still aren't cheap, but it all came apart and went back together without much fuss.

Better than I expected, and more than good enough to keep. - Forehead pads are a vast improvement over the stock pad. Whether you want the cooling gel pad, the sweatproof pad, or the cloth pad, you'll be happy. - The weighted bracket in the back is a surprise. I adjusted it to ensure it was in the right spot, and it now does an excellent job keeping the headset exactly where it should be. - The top straps are easily adjustable and quite comfortable. With all three pieces in place, you won't be hunting for the sweet spot every time you use the headset. You can set it and forget it, and you'll remain comfortable while you do it. No more thinking you have to clamp the headset so tight you get headaches. No more slipping and sliding and twisting and turning when you play fast-moving games. It's also surprisingly well-made. It might take a few minutes to figure out how to remove the old pads and put on the new ones, but I didn't find it terribly difficult. For me, it was well worth it.

After reading several reviews we decided to give the Globular Cluster CMP2 a try. To be honest we never really found the factory setup to be uncomfortable, but figured based on the reviews we would give it a try. We didn't think it was a cheap upgrade, but what made us take the plunge was one reviewers comment that if felt like putting on helmet. The package came in perfect condition (thanks amazon), and the product was well packaged. The instructions and online videos helped with the installation, which if you take your time is a synch. Each of the different pads had a different feel, each better than the factory padding. The cooling gel really does do what it says, the soft fabric pad is just that, really soft. The quality was surprising. The overall feel of the PSVR2 is vastly improved. Would I buy it again, absolutely. It changed the entire what you interact with the headset. We don't tighten it down anymore, there is simply no need. You simply put it one, power up the PS5, and start playing. It stays exactly where you put it, and doesn't budge. Game changer, yep!

Soy de la CDMX, el producto me llegó en excelentes condiciones. Para instalarlo entré a la página oficial de Youtube y en menos de 10 minutos los pude colocar. Antes de comprarlos el visor PSVR2 me dolía la frente y la cabeza y desde que les puse éstos mods puedo decir que es una enorme diferencia de comodidad. Hasta pude centrar mejor el visor y tener una calidad de imágen a mi vista porque antes se me bajaba mucho. Le coloqué de frente el accesorio gris y de atrás el de Gel y es muy cómodo. Se los recomiendo mucho a todos aquellos que tienen un PSVR2. Le doy 5 estrellas :)

Opinie w Internecie (YouTube i inne) jak najbardziej zgodne z prawdą. Produkt fajny i wygodny - montaż prosty i mało wymagający, instrukcja z pudełka lub filmik z YT wystarczą, a dostarczone narzędzie w zupełności wystarczy. W Aces of Thunder spełnia się świetnie. Polecam.

Realmente mantém bem estável o ponto de foco, e elimina a pressão e peso na testa. O conforto é muito bom, e as diferentes opções de pads são muito convenientes para personalização, cobrindo qualquer tipo de uso e temperatura. É fácil alternar entre eles. Também, os pads de tecido são laváveis. Grande ponto positivo. A opção de poder ajustar a altura do pad traseiro também é bem útil. Tem duas posições possíveis. O manual é meio básico, então é aconselhável assistir ao vídeo da remoção dos pads originais, que é a parte mais complicada. Mas com um pouquinho de paciência dá tudo certo. A instalação dos pads novos é bem fácil. Um ponto a considerar é que o pad traseiro ocupa bem mais espaço que o original, então fica bem justo o espaço para colocar o VR2 na cabeça. Sem problemas para mim, mas talvez para quem usa óculos e tem a cabeça muito grande seja necessário um cuidado extra para colocar. Achei que valeu muito a pena, melhora bastante a experiência e fica muito menos cansativo. Dá pra jogar por muito mais tempo, e sem ter que ficar ajustando o foco a toda hora. Chegou dos EUA em uma semana.
