I should have listened to the reviews…
My phone came “on time” meaning I paid for 2 days delivery but it came on the 4th day, maybe because of the weekend. The phone itself had 89% battery which isn’t the worst but also it’s not what you would expect from a refurb phone that’s only a year old. There were scratches all over the phone which isn’t a massive issue as it is second hand at a decent price. But the actual phone is laggy, the mic and speaker are faulty plus it doesn’t charge quickly, or well. I definitely would not recommend this seller, I’m going to give it another day and if the phone is still not adapting I will need to return, wait 5 days for a refund and order another phone from another seller. Just listen to the reviews, these people are not checking the items before they resell them. I think they’re just cleaning them and passing them on for profit.

Not Excellent Condition – Dirty Phone and Non-Original Battery
I ordered this phone in “Excellent” condition, but the device I received does not match that description. The phone had visible fingerprints and dirt on the body and screen, which is not what I would expect from an “Excellent” grade refurbished device. In the settings it also shows a warning that the battery may not be a genuine Apple part. This was not mentioned in the product description. Additionally, the phone’s housing feels like a cheap aftermarket replacement. The edges around the frame and buttons are quite sharp and do not feel like the smooth finish of an original Apple housing. Because of this, the phone does not feel like it has its original quality. Overall, the phone works, but the condition and parts do not meet the expectations for an “Excellent” refurbished device

Very disappointed
I wouldn't even give this company 1 star – that would be far too generous. I purchased an iPhone from Saisales and selected the "Excellent Condition" option. When the phone arrived, it appeared acceptable at first glance when viewed from the front. However, it quickly became apparent that the device was far from being in excellent condition. At the same time, I purchased a phone case. Within a matter of days, the case broke. I thought this was unusual, so I purchased another case, only for it to break in exactly the same place after a short period of use. The day after the second case broke, the phone screen suddenly turned bright green and began flashing, making the device unusable. I also noticed that the phone's frame did not appear straight, so I took it to my local Apple Store for a second opinion. I was informed that the frame was bent and that the device contained some US-specification components that were not compatible with a European iPhone. Apple also informed me that this incompatibility could potentially be the cause of the screen issues. In addition, the sides of the phone and the buttons feel unusually sharp and rough. The device simply does not feel like a genuine iPhone in the condition advertised. I have contacted Saisales numerous times regarding these issues. Their response was to return the phone for inspection, while also stating that if they believe the device has been damaged during return transit, they will refuse to inspect it and simply send it back. Given the condition in which the phone was supplied, this response is extremely concerning. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. In my opinion, this phone fails on all three counts. The device I received was not as advertised, was not in excellent condition, and is not fit for purpose. I feel completely mis-sold and am now left without a working phone. I am absolutely disgusted by both the quality of the product supplied and the level of customer service I have received.

NOT ALL PHONES ARE FAULTY, BUT IS IT WORTH THE RISK WHEN ONE IS, AND THEY WONT HELP?
Initially, the phone worked without issue, but shortly afterwards, it began repeatedly displaying “No SIM” and “SIM Failure” errors. I took the device to an independent third-party repair shop for assessment. They informed me that the iPhone contained a US-spec logic board configured exclusively for E-SIM use, despite the phone casing being designed for a physical SIM tray. According to the technician, the device could not properly read a physical SIM because the logic board was hard-coded for E-SIM functionality only. The repair shop further explained that devices like this are commonly referred to as “Frankenstein” iPhones, phones assembled from mismatched or incompatible parts during poor-quality refurbishment. They advised that this appeared to be the case here, and they couldn't do anything for me but advised I ask for a refund. I contacted the seller and returned the phone along with the repair report detailing the issue. Despite being provided with the report, photographic evidence, and screenshots showing the repeated SIM errors, the seller claimed there was “no fault” with the device and instead attempted to charge me a £30 administration fee. Cheeky! Why would I return an unfaulty phone to pay them an extra £30? I also asked the seller directly to clarify which logic board was installed in the phone, but they declined to answer, which increased my concerns about the refurbishment's legitimacy. For anyone considering buying from this seller: I am not claiming that every phone they sell is faulty. However, based on my experience, some devices clearly are, and the company appears unwilling to acknowledge legitimate faults or provide refunds even when presented with independent technical evidence, with multiple photos proving the point. Silver lining in all this, I learnt a lot about iPhone logic boards.

Dead after 22 months, be careful with refurbished phone
Absolutely Unacceptable: £909 iPhone 14 Pro Max Dead in 22 Months – A Refurbished Rip-Off! I am beyond furious. On 22nd October 2023, I purchased an iPhone 14 Pro Max for £909 from what was then musicMagpie, now operating as Stock Must Go Ltd. A mere 22 months later, this supposedly "renewed" device has completely failed. The phone is utterly unresponsive – no screen touch, no force quit, just a dead weight. Apple Store confirmed my worst fears: a critical hardware failure, likely the motherboard and screen. The repair estimate? A staggering £500! That's the price of a new iPhone 16E, for a repair on a phone that shouldn't have failed this quickly. To add insult to injury, the warranty has predictably expired, and the seller, Stock Must Go Ltd. (formerly musicMagpie), is now uncontactable. My previous iPhones, all purchased directly from Apple, have been robust, reliable workhorses that lasted for years without a hitch. The failure of this iPhone 14 Pro Max after such a ludicrously short period is nothing short of a disgrace and speaks volumes about the quality (or lack thereof) of this "renewed" product. I was forced to pay £320 to Pocket Geek Tech for a repair that frankly, shouldn't have been necessary. My attempt to "save money" by buying a refurbished phone has backfired spectacularly, costing me significantly MORE than if I had simply bought a brand-new device from Apple. Consider this a stark warning: Based on this appalling experience, I absolutely cannot recommend buying any refurbished or renewed phone, especially not from this vendor. The short-term "saving" is a false economy that leads to significant financial pain and immense frustration. Learn from my mistake – buy new, buy from a reputable source, and avoid the colossal disappointment of a premature product failure like this.

Don’t waste your money on refurbished. Get new and know it’ll last
Sadly my phone is integral to my work and finding this phone has broken fairly quickly after I got it was quite distressing. I sent it back for repair only to be told it wasn’t in warranty because of “water damage” that I only clicked in that moment was the one time I used it in a rain shower. Which, according to the company should be fine. However they did nothing to help me with it and just acted like my needs didn’t matter. They wouldn’t acknowledge that the listing had no ref to water damage being excluded or that there was a long list of other things not included that if I’d know I would never have purchased. It’s such a big list of things they don’t cover that it makes it almost pointless owning it. I’m shocked they didn’t even offer a courtesy repair due to two weeks of poor communication, mixed messages and a really stressful customer experience.

Buyers beware
I purchased this refurbished iPhone 14 Pro Max for £500 expecting a professionally refurbished device with decent-quality components. After Christmas and New Year, the battery performance began to drop significantly, which I understand can happen with older phones. I initially took it to a local repair specialist in Leeds (iPatch) just for a routine battery replacement, as I rely heavily on my phone for work. However, when the phone was opened, the technician found that a very poor-quality aftermarket screen had previously been fitted and it was already starting to separate. This was likely the cause of the screen intermittently going blank when the phone was moved. As a result, I ended up needing both a new screen and battery, costing around £300 — over half the original purchase price. I appreciate that refurbished phones often contain replacement parts and that batteries naturally wear out over time. But at this price point, I would have expected better-quality refurbishment and components that lasted longer than a few months. If you’re considering buying refurbished, I would recommend checking exactly what standard of refurbishment is being offered and factoring in the potential need for a battery replacement on phones of this age. Buyer beware.

Looks Good Outside, Completely Broken Inside – Worst Refurbished Phone Experience
I might have given MINUS stars if there is an option as I am really disappointed. We purchased this refurbished phone listed in “Excellent Condition”, expecting it to function like a well-tested device. While the phone looks fine externally, serious functional issues appeared shortly after use. We are experiencing microphone and speaker problems that significantly affect call quality. Calls are often unclear, and the audio performance is noticeably poor. For context, an older iPhone 13 we own performs much better in the same scenarios, which was surprising given the condition this phone was advertised under. Based on our experience, it seems the refurbishment may have focused primarily on cosmetic appearance rather than thorough internal testing. The issues were not immediately obvious at first glance but became clear during everyday use. I recommend carefully testing all core functions (especially audio) as soon as you receive the device, as the condition may not fully reflect long-term performance.

I PHONE 14 PRO MAX
