Fish are alive and well!
Does its job and the fish are still alive and well when we got back from a weeklong vacation. It is super simple to use, just pop it in the pond and the fish will take care of the rest. Great value since it is only a few dollars versus paying a neighbor a lot more to come feed them.

KILLED MY FISH, DO NOT BUY
I Put this in my pond, left for 6 days, came home to DEAD fish, and the water had a thick film on the top and it stunk, Iโm so upset. this company needs to reimburse me for my 4 year old Koi and my 5 year old fancy gold fish. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS POISON.

Reliable Food Source for our Fist When we Travel
We put a block into our small fish pond when we travel and have used the blocks for a couple of years now. A neighbor comes once a week to float a new block and not have to feed the fish on a daily basis.

My Pond Fish ate it all right away
I fed my Pond fish their regular food then placed this vacation food in the pond. They ate the entire thing within the same day despite being well fed. They seemed fine when I returned within 6 days. I have 13 fish (Sarasas and Shubunkin) about 5 -6 inches long. I removed the food from the package and it stayed on the bottom of the pond- no issues with floating. Next time I will place the vacation food in a different location from where I normally feed them so it takes longer for them to find it.

Vacation fish food
We were going to be gone and noone to feed our fish. I found these bought 2. They fed 14 goldfish and 10 bluegill for more than a week. Our fish loved them. The size fit perfect in the tank we had. Very easy to use, open top throw in water it floats they can eat it. When they are done it floats to bottom. It didn't dirty up my fish water. The color of the food looked exactly like packed fish food making it perfect for my fish. The can it comes in is very tough so no worries with it falling apart.

Good
It stayed in pond whole time we were gone on trip. When I took it out could see where fish had eaten it. Gave a sense of security fish would be okay.

Mixed Messages
The manufacturer calls this a "Slow Release Feeder Block," but the fine print in the Feeding Guide says "The feeder block does not disintegrate on its own." That's good! This would seem to indicate the block provides food only as the fish nibble it away, instead of supplying a constant supply of food as the binder disintegrates. But the packaging also says the block only "Feeds UP TO 7 days." I can only assume that means the block will completely disintegrate within about a week and any remaining food will be released. Otherwise, if it still contained food and the binder was still functioning after 7 days, the fish would still be happily feeding from it, as needed, for the additional weeks you're away. With this in mind, the Feeding Chart on the package does not make sense. In addition to the 7-day feeding period, it provides the recommended number of blocks to feed (based on the numbers, sizes, & kinds of fish) for a 14-day period, insinuating the block potentially feeds up to 14 days. However, again, the message on the front of the box says "Feeds UP TO 7 days." I don't get it. Nevertheless, I've used these in my pond while on vacation, because there aren't many alternatives on the market. My fish supplier told me I could stop feeding for 3 weeks while I was traveling, and the fish would be fine, just eating algae or living off their internal reserves. But my pond has almost no algae due to an oversized filter with UV, so I was still worried I might be starving them. Before traveling for 3 weeks, I dropped in 2 of these blocks to at least feed them the first week. (According to the Feeding Guide, for my 6 medium-sized koi and 20 medium-sizes gold fish, I should have put in 3-4 blocks for 7-days or 6-8 blocks for 14-days. 8 blocks is $40+, BTW!) When I returned home after 3 weeks, all the fish seemed fine. But who is to say they would not have been just fine without the feeder blocks?

Great option for when you are away
This little feeder is a lifesaver for short trips. I have four pretty large fish, and it kept them fed for my entire vacation. No more worrying about them going hungry while I'm away! It's super easy to set up and use too. Definitely a great investment for any fish owner who travels.

Perfect for 2 weeks away
I have one bottom feeder and a large gold fish. They love it. When I came back from vacations it was all gone. Didn't soil the water either like other multi-day feeder blocks do.
