A good OBD scanner indeed. I have used it on multiple cars from many different manufacturers. The device recommends and app, this then gives you a very comprehensive list of car manufacturers. From there you can navigate the menus with ease on your smart phone. I does ask to identify the vehicle by reading its vin number, some times this does not work due to the individual car manufacturer selection not being upto date. This is easily done by selecting an update on the app. It also seems to work better if you switch on your location. The faults it can read seem to be limitless. you do have the option to clear these faults and also look up the fault code through the app. On a whole I have found this Bluetooth obd reader to be fantastic. Certainly saves you the cost of a garage read and the fact that it can constantly be updated is great. I'm on my second year with it and have had no additional cost.

Perfect tool for the job. I'm not one to leave reviews but this tool deserves the credit. Simple to use and can put Renault cars into service mode for changing brake pads which many cheaper tools can't do.

This product is so compact - it’s like a gadget full of features when it comes to automotive diagnostics I needed this to reset a service light and engine management light on my Mercedes E Class that had come on I downloaded the software through the Apple Store got it up and running in less than 5 minutes. Connected it to the car with my iPad and then scanned the car . It can be used with the iPhone too but I chose the iPad as I'm a bit older and seeing the menu choices can be a little difficult It was super speedy to scan and it went in and read the car with no issues I’ve never used one of these before so for me this was a completely new territory but as a 70 year old I usually ask a friend for assistance on all things technical but on this occasion I impressed myself by doing it all by myself A little storage case would be perfect for this that’s the only downside but other than that you can see by my photos it’s actual packaging is no bigger than a a small glass of water so it really is compact 5 stars from me!

Great for finding codes and clearing them (as long as you fix the issue first).. bought this originally to clear my airbag warning light on a 1 series BMW and did the trick perfectly (after fitting an seat mat emulator).. I’m only Gunna give it 4 stars because with this tool you can test all your electrics like air con, windows, washers etc but the only engine component it lets you test is the fan on the BMW software (don’t know about others yet) so that’s the only thing I’d say is missing from this tool but apart from that it’s decent. Was worried about some of the reviews saying it always drops connection and constantly updates but I’ve had this a week or so and it only updated when I first put it on and it’s never dropped connection once 🤞🏼 easy for a beginner this is my first ever scan tool and before I got this I had a person scan my car with Carly and this found the EXACT same faults as that so on a diagnostic view it’s as good as Carly but obvs you can’t do any coding etc but if your just looking for a basic scan tool that’s pretty fast and finds all the codes and clears them, then this is defo worth buying. I know about the subscription thing aswel and that doesn’t bother me most of them are like this now for your phone. I just think next year I’ll try a proper software on a old laptop because I really wanna get deeper in to it but for now this is all I need to get my car back to a healthy state. Would recommend if your only using it to scan and clear codes efficiently.. another issue is the DPF regen didn’t work for Me but it maybe coz I have a code still on my car which hasn’t been fixed yet (turbo emulator) and I have no doubt once it’s fixed this will clear that code instantly!

I purchased the Topdon universal OBD scanner as a Christmas gift, intending to use it on my 2009 Volvo V70 to save money on diagnostic fees. After reading the positive marketing and reviews, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it does not do what I bought it for. While the scanner powers up, connects via Bluetooth, and displays some very basic vehicle information, it is unable to connect to the car’s ECM and therefore cannot read any engine data. For my vehicle at least, it functions only as a very basic OBD reader and is effectively incompatible with Volvo systems. I then tried to contact Topdon support for assistance, but the support portal repeatedly logs you out and sends you back to the login screen in an endless loop, making it impossible to submit a query or get help. Overall, this product has not lived up to its advertised capabilities. The marketing suggests a far more capable diagnostic tool than it actually is, and the lack of usable customer support only adds to the frustration. I would strongly recommend researching compatibility with your specific vehicle before purchasing.

Very easy to set up and gives a comprehensive scan. I know it's subscription based but the quality of the information provided is very good and for most owners is worth the money.

I love the portability of this scanner. Is light and can stay in your car for when it’s needed. The device is easy to use. I downloaded the app to my iPhone and then updated all of the car makes and models. It has every car I could think of on there. Once plugged in it was easy to use. It detected my car automatically and the. Gave me the options of what I wanted to do. I first ran a diagnostic health report of the car to check for any issues. It picked up an issue that I thought had been solved by the garage I took it to. Luckily this picked it up and I had the small issue fixed before something bigger came up. The design of this also allows me to easily have it connected to get live driving data of the car recorded for review after I’ve stopped. This checks for any misfires etc that could be causing issues. I would definitely recommend any products from this range. I already have the plug in diagnostic. Scanned which is great but this is so portable and easy to use I now use this one most of the time.

Annoyed to be honest. Bought this a year ago. And yes it’s a great little device that does the job that’s needed. However was unaware of the subscription prices. They are in dollar which everyone knows it’s cheaper in pounds but when you go ahead for purchase it takes the full amount 49.99 for another years subscription yet this time it’s now only a scanner and basically useless. Abit mad expensive when you can purchase another for the same price where it’ll do everything. Shame really.

Ich habe mir vor Kurzem diesen OBD Diagnose-Stecker zugelegt und möchte meine Erfahrungen mit Euch teilen. Wer kennt es nicht, das Auto zeigt wieder irgendeine Fehlerleuchte 🔴🟡und der erste Gedanke "Werkstatt - das wird bestimmt teuer!" Mit diesem Stecker kann man nun selbst die erste Diagnose machen und man kann Fehlercodes auslesen und zurücksetzen. Um nur einen kleinen Teil aller Funktionen zu nennen. Versand & Unboxing:📦 Der Diagnosestecker war 2 Tage nach der Bestellung schon bei mir. Die Umverpackung war mit einer Folie eingeschweißt. Die Produkt-Kartonage war mit 2 Klebepads an den Öffnungslaschen versehen - so kann man sich sicher sein, das die Kartonage noch nie geöffnet wurde. Zudem befindet sich auf der Oberseite ein Öffnungsstreifen. Der OBD Stecker ist gegen Beschädigung in einem Inlay aus Schaumstoff gebettet. Zusätzlich befindet sich eine Kurzanleitung und eine Garantiekarte im Karton. Negativ🔴👎 Auf dem Karton ist ein QR Code aufgedruckt. Dieser soll sofort zum Download der App führen, die man für die Nutzung benötigt. Allerdings konnte mein iOS-Gerät den Code nicht lesen. Ich musste also händisch ran und die passende App suchen. Ein Kollege hat es mit einem Android Gerät versucht; der QR Code leitet auf eine Website um wo dann eine .apk heruntergeladen und später eigenständig aus "unbekannter Quelle" installiert werden muss. Dies erachte ich als sehr bedenklich. 👈👉Also mein Tipp an Euch: Lasst den QR Code einfach sein, und ladet euch die App auf bekanntem Wege. Optik & Verarbeitung: Der Diagnosestecker ist sauber verarbeitet. Es hat abgerundete Kanten und fasst sich wertig an. 3 LED sind verbaut, die die Betriebsbereitschaft und die Bluetooth-Konnektivität anzeigen. Negativ🔴👎 Auf dem Gerät befindet sich ein USB-C Port. Leider findet man in der Kurzanleitung keinen Hinweis dazu, wofür dieser da ist. Im ersten Moment dachte ich vielleicht an Firmware Aktualisierung - allerdings geschieht dies laut Anleitung über Bluetooth. Ich greife nun mal vor 😉Ist die App installiert und eingerichtet, so findet man eine 53-seitige Anleitung in Englisch. Dort ist beschrieben, das über den USB-Port das Gerät mit externer Spannung versorgt werden kann. (Kabel dazu befindet sich allerdings nicht im Lieferumfang) Stromversorgung:🔋 Das Gerät kann entweder über den OBD Anschluss des Fahrzeuges mit Strom versorgt werden. Oder aber man nutzt den USB-C Port am Gerät selbst und versorgt somit das Gerät extern mit Spannung. Erste Inbetriebnahme & erster Eindruck:💡 ✅TopGuru- App (iOS) oder TopScan-App (Android) herunterladen, installieren und starten ✅App: Nun wird man zur Registrierung geleitet - ohne Topdon Konto ist eine Nutzung des Adapters also nicht möglich ✅Email-Adresse hinterlegen, den AGB 's zustimmen und man bekommt umgehend ein Verifizierungscode an seine Email-Adresse gesendet ✅Zwischen den Rubriken CAR oder MOTO wählen ✅Die App fordert nun dazu auf, das Gerät an den OBD Anschluss des Fahrzeuges zu stecken ✅Ein "Piep" erklingt und die mittlere Power LED leuchtet 🔴, anschließend in die Einstellungen eures Smartphone und unter Bluetooth das Gerät suchen und verbinden. 👈👉Hinweis: Der Diagnosestecker wird mit der Kennung angezeigt, welche auf dem Stecker selbst aufgedruckt ist. Beginnend mit "JD......." ✅Ist das Gerät per Bluetooth gekoppelt, wird man in der App nach Seriennummer und Aktivierungscode gefragt. Bei mir wurde dieses aus dem Fahrzeug selbst ausgelesen, durch mich bestätigt und anschließend ist der Diagnosestecker auch aktiviert und einsatzbereit. Die Bluetooth LED leuchtet 🔵und die Kommunikations-LED blinkt 🟢 ✅Vorerst letzter Step ist dann noch das Herunterladen der Hersteller-Datenbanken. Man hat in der App natürlich die Möglichkeit gleich mehrere Hersteller herunter zu laden, fand ich ganz sinnvoll. Fazit: Ein wirklich wertig verarbeitetes Gerät mit jeder Menge an Möglichkeiten. Die einzelnen "Funktionen" werde ich noch testen und vielleicht nochmal diese Rezension erweitern. Aber vom ersten Eindruck bin ich absolut begeistert. Für nicht einmal 70 Euro, was ich absolut fair finde, kann man sicherlich den ein oder anderen Werkstattbesuch umgehen. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

L'associazione con l'applicazione è molto macchinosa, ma una volta associata , è preso dimestichezza con l'applicazione (io francamente ho dovuto smanettare molto per capire come usare determinate funzioni) ma ne è valsa la pena, sono stato in grado di leggere in autonomia la centralina ABS ed AIRBAG, ed andare ad intervenire esattamente sui sensori e connettori incriminati, senza smontare roba inutilmente o farmi derubare da un elettrauto per farmi le due diagnosi che mi servivano. Inoltre è stato possibile resettare completamente i fuel trim, insomma, è vero che la licenza dura solo un anno, ma personalmente credo che valga anche di più di quanto richiesto. È un prodotto che mi sento di consigliare. NB: permette anche il reset degli errori su centralina abs ed esp

Después de varias semanas usando el Topdon TopScan Lite OBD2, puedo decir que estoy muy satisfecho con esta pequeña pero potente herramienta. Es ideal para cualquier persona que quiera tener un control básico de la salud de su coche sin necesidad de invertir en equipos profesionales carísimos. Lo primero que me impresionó fue su tamaño compacto y lo fácil que es de usar. Simplemente lo conectas al puerto OBD2 de tu vehículo, descargas la aplicación en el móvil (disponible tanto para Android como iOS, lo cual es un plus) y en pocos segundos ya estás viendo datos.
