Pride and Prejudice (Masterpiece Library Edition)

First, I bought both of my books for their green binding to go with my decor and I love both of the stories. However, when I got them today, I was also pleasantly surprised to see the gold on the pages and trim around the entire binding! Both books are Masterpiece Library Editions, making them look outstanding on my book shelf. These books, along with Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass are all bound in Green, they have also been my favorites growing up. Hopefully, when I finish with my collection, it will be something my sons may appreciate when I am no longer here. To leave a piece of myself. Seeing all of my new books both bound in the green and held together by some beautiful book ends has been a wonderful gift that I both have given to myself and also given to me by my husband.

This book is truly stunning. It has a satisfying weight to it, slightly heavy, thanks to its gilded edges, but I actually love that. It gives it that timeless, almost encyclopedic presence that feels just right for a classic. The pages are beautifully thick, and the tone of the print, along with the font size, makes it a pleasure to read. Easy on the eyes and thoughtfully designed. The deep emerald green cover is absolutely gorgeous, and the linen-covered binding adds such an elegant, refined touch. Altogether, it feels like a book meant to be treasured, not just read.

I am rating the Masterpiece Library Edition of the book, not the story itself. This book is absolutely EXQUISITE!!! It looks beautiful, but also it is made to be read and reread and passed down through generations. The paper is THICK quality paper, the print is well spaced and easy to read and line-matched, the binding is sewn, not glued. The only slight improvement/suggestion is the ribbon marker could be a tiny bit longer, but that is a very minor thing, does not take away from a stunning book. It just arrived today, and already I've added 5 more books made by this publisher to my Christmas wish-list (and several others to my saved-for-later cart!). The quality is that good, the book is that beautiful. A magnificent gift to give to yourself or someone you love, it will be treasured for many, many years to come.

My absolute 110% most favorite Jane Austen book. The 2005 Keira Knightley movie adaptation is also my favorite.

Peter Pauper Press exceeded my expectations! Excellent quality and beautiful binding. I have declining eyesight and this book had thick paper with easy to read print. I love these books!

Perfect conditions. It come inside a plastic bag to prevent it from getting damaged. The book is of a dark green hardcover, with cloth spine binding and an imprinted gold floral design. The pages are sprayed gold and it comes with a ribbon bookmark. I recommend highly it is of very good quality, my copy had only a very tiny bend on a corner but hardly visible at all.

I saw some reviews citing damage to the book cover, and torn pages. Mine came in a sturdy box, so it may be that the risk of damage has gone down because the use of the study box. Much damage to products occurs during the shipping process, so a good box is important. Mine was wrapped in plastic, so there was no chance it was "used." I wanted Jane Austin books years ago, but all the covers were boring, and not cute. I have been waiting for an edition, with some style for a while. Especially at an affordable price. I can see why #BookTok is so excited about the novel. Thank you for an excellent book!

Got it for aesthetic appeal and tactile experience. From reviews I read before buying, I was expecting the barcode to be imprinted on the back cover, and was happily surprised to see that this copy does not have it imprinted!! They put a card with a barcode and it is removable. They worked on the feedback I see. I got the green one. It has a title page and the book starts at page 3. It has a simple lace as a bookmark ribbon. Chapter pages are not coloured black, like it was in one of the copies in reviews I read before. They are all white so nothing blocks your reading experience. Vertical binding is that of green mull/cotton cloth. It has book title printed in golden ink so you can arrange it in shelf vertically and find it quickly. The page smell is awesome, that if paper and not of a gum or of any ink. It has golden glitter edges and they shine like a single plain gold metal sheet!

The most perfect edition - book looks vintage but it’s new. Beautiful quality for the affordable price. Recommend

Llego antes de la fecha programada bien empacado sin ningún daño, el trabajo de la cubierta es muy bueno es de lino, con la oferta del 10% si compras 2 libros es una ganga (pasta dura, grande) yo adquirí eses y jane eyre de la misma editorial, nunca he entendido x que la gente usa libros (que no ha leido que no saben de q se tratan) como decoración, habiendo tantos libros maravillosos como estos en pasta dura, estos libros sustituirán a mis versiones viejitas y usadas, el libro en sí es fantástico y leerlo en el idioma original es genial, altamente recomendable
