TOPENS ERM12 Universal External Receiver with 2 Remote Control Transmitters for Automatic Swing Sliding Gate Opener Garage Door Opener, Remote Operator Accessory for Outdoor Use

I purchased a complete Topens Dual Gate Opener setup (A La Carte) including: PW502 Opener, TC196 WiFi Remote, ERM12 Remote, TC175P Wired Keypad, TEW3 Vehicle Sensor Wand, and ET24 Gate Lock. After setting up and adjusting the gate travel, everything works as expected. One significant issue I had to work thru with the support staff at Topens was the inconsistent operation of the TC196 WiFi Remote that works via your smartphone. Although my indoor setup is well within the 230 meters from the gate controls (mine is about 50 meters at the most), the operation was inconsistent. It may work one day and not that afternoon. After several exchanges with Topens support, they suggested an external antenna ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094MW1YMV/) that has fixed the issue. One additional tip I would offer is when you are setting up the TC196, the "paring" sequence MUST be done as fast as possible. It appears the main board only has a few seconds to press the momentary switch on the main board, then press "A" on phone, have lights flash and press "A" on phone again. It took me multiple tries to get it programmed. Again, after solving the issues with the TC196, all the operations of the gate and related components appear to be working as expected. Thanks again to the support at Topens for assistance in getting everything working!

After installing the Topens RK 1200T sliding gate opener, I couldn't program the 6 remotes I needed to operate the gate. I contacted customer support via their portal and explained the problem. They had me do a number of tests and send some photos. They decided that I needed this Topens ERM12 Universal External Receiver for my application. The sent me one free of charge. I installed it and the remotes programed easily. I can operate the gate from 100+ feet from our house. Very good product and excellent customer service. The entire gate system works well and is of good quality.

I installed this range extender on a Topens gate opener. After installation, which was easy to wire into the control board using the gate opener instructions. After installing, however, the gate wouldn't open and close each time the button was pressed. After talking with their support, they sent the attached instructions for erasing the codes on the control board and learning them only on the extender. With both the control board receiver and the range extender receiver accepting remote signals, duplicate signals were getting to the control board. The gate opener now works with a much better range. Hopefully these instructions help someone else.

This is great save, so much time saved on programming the remotes.

Update. This thing does not increase the opening distance from gate at all. It was a waste of money I have a Topens sliding gate opener which I LOVE. I just wanted a bit more range to use the opener remote. Wasn't quite sure how to connect so I contacted Topen customer service. Zak wrote me immediately with directions to install.

Product works well and programs easily. Wire is a bit thin and quite short. Had to modify to make it work for me. Other than that I am happy with the results.

Purchased this receiver to add greater functionality to my Topens gate opener. Unfortunately the unit didn’t prove to be weatherproof and shorted out when water got in. Customer service was great and they sent a replacement right away. This time as a precaution I applied some black rubber spray around the edges. Works well and customer service was top notch.

Nice extender only have one minor problem it does not seem water proff so I sealed up with silicone

The ERM12 works great. Had a couple questions when installing, emailed support and was quick to respond and help solve the problem.
