Inexpensive and easy to use
Purchased to sharpen the pruning blade for a vintage Craftsman pole saw, the blade of which is no longer available. Worked as intended. Honestly, it really didn't take long with the blade clamped in a vice. File is inexpensive and shaped to fit between teeth. Depending on your blade, you may also want to consider a tool to re-set the teeth. Good value.

Good Looking Sharp but Course Cut
I bought this too sharpen a Short Cut Saw, they have very aggressive tooth design and this file also works well with tree limb blades, a similar tooth shape. This file is quite sharp, single cut and very aggressive file design, how hard or the quality of the metal, only time will determine

Nice File
Lots of files like this one on Amazon, and I chose this one because of the price and because it is a double cutting file. Not much to say otherwise, except I am glad to have a feather file in my assortment. I used it to touch up a pruning saw, and it worked fine. Just to clarify, though, this file is not meant to sharpen standard crosscut and rip cut hand saws. You need a three-sided file for that.

Does the job
Decent manual sharpener. I use it for my pruners, small hand clippers and small hatchet/axe. Works well for tools that cannot be easily put in a vise due to their shape.

Not for sharpening hand tools.
This isn't for sharpening hand tools like a hoe. You work yourself to death trying to get a good edge.
