I went from driving a 2010 Honda Pilot to a 2021 Rav4. I love everything about the car, but my only problem is that the driver's side left armrest is way too low for comfort. Also, the armrest is curved so that your arm constantly slides off it, even if you do manage to find a comfortable positions. Why Toyota??? I don't know if it's just the way I'm built or Toyota is making this car for a different body style, but it would seriously cause shoulder pain during my long daily commutes. I ordered this Elbow Buddy, not really thinking it would make a difference, but now after a year of having it in my car, I really think I would hate my Rav4 without it. It provides the perfect height and flat surface to actually use my left side armrest instead of it being an accent feature. It has also held up surprisingly well and the velcro has stayed on without slipping. 5/5 stars, seriously one of the best value items I have ever bought on Amazon.

I had really sore elbows while in my vehicle, the doors have an arm rest but it’s so hard and I was experiencing pain. I found these and couldn’t wait to put them in. I love them, but like any change, they were hard to get used to. The good thing about this product though is that they are Velcro and adjusted to where you feel it fits best. I secured the bottom Velcro first and then moved the padded area until it fit better for me. Mine is part way over the opening I use for loose change. I put the other one on the passenger side door and my friend always tells me how much she appreciates that. Definitely a good quality for the price!

Initial review: This is a product that shouldn't have been invented in the first place, but automotive manufacturers obviously don't care much about ergonomics, so here it is, solving an annoying problem: I developed tendonitis in my left elbow and this pad alleviates the pain and also improves overall posture. Easy to install (if you're familiar with Velcro), fits well (in my old BMW 325i). As a first impression, the material could have been softer (which is why it's a not a 5 star review), but I might update this after driving around more. Can't speak of durability yet, but since it comes in identical pairs, I have one backup.

The driver's side armrest for some reason is way too low to be comfortable, in almost every car I've driven... and my last vehicle, the vinyl got all cracked and broken where my elbow had been... even though my elbows are soft and not rough or scratchy, so I don't know why. But when I got my newest vehicle, I searched for something to help protect the vinyl and hopefully increase the height. The Elbow Friend is PERFECT!! It raises the height to be perfect, so now as I'm driving, I can relax my elbow on this cushion, and I don't have to slouch or lean to my left to reach it... it's the perfect height. It's also MUCH softer on my elbow, which makes it more comfortable as well! I also like that it uses hook & loop/velcro to attach, so IF I need to move it or remove it, I can easily. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes to rest their elbow along the door armrest, but theirs sits too low to be comfortable, or to save/protect the original vinyl, or even just want something softer and more cushion for their elbows!! Really great product that works perfectly and solves numerous issues at once!!

Probably one of my best amazon purchase ever. Why these don't come with cars I cannot imagine! Put on my truck door and the other on the center console.... no more shoulder pain from driving and much more comfortable drive. Highly recommend!

This wannabe Temperpedic fly weight small pad tries and misses as being useful on a ‘19 Civic. First, you have little room to place it where useful without covering door grab pass through or covering switches. Second, to secure them you must place it on vinyl, I have Alcatera fabric and it’ll ruin the latter for sure once removed, may mess up vinyl too. The hook fastener (rough) side goes on your door. It only has about 1 to 2 inches to hold onto so may be easily lost getting in/out of car unless firmly mounted to large vinyl pad area. Satisfaction (or dis) will vary by car model. Mine has room but no place good to attach it. Quality is ok, think softer shoe insert fluffy foam about the size of an old school chalkboard eraser. I’ll probably keep mine but this is just another tried to solve a problem but can’t As Seen on TV product. Good idea but won’t let elbows fully rest, just partially or piece. That means no room for other elbow friends to stop by. FYI: Where is the only place you can put one hand where it’s impossible for the other hand to reach it? Under your ELBOW!

After several attempts to find the pad that works for my use, this one is ideal. It's a keeper!

I'm a mobile mechanic by trade, so I drive in a van almost all day, and I can assure you this was one of the best purchases I have made in years. I rave about this to all my coworkers. Maybe having a different foam might be cool, but I'm not sure I would even try anything other than this at this point. Phenomenal!

Using these on my computer chair, and I would buy these again in a heartbeat. - Memory foam is VERY high quality. - Covers are comfortable and removable for washing. - Velcro is strong, hasn't moved at all since attaching them. I've tried others, and most of the time they have had one issue or another, mostly poor quality memory foam that deflates after a month.
