Not even remotely accurate
Not accurate, not even close. I've tested this against commercially made products (everclear, Brandy, Vodka etc). My samples were all at exactly 60 F. Consistently off ~30 points low. Each sample is reading ~30 points low, IE Everclear Sold at 190proof, the hydrometer shows 159, Vodka, sold at 80 proof measures 41 on the Hydrometer, this has been consistent across all my sampling of commercially made spirts. Disappointed in how inaccurate this is. Will have to buy a more expensive, better quality Hydrometer. My advice, spend a few extra bucks.

Works As Intended! Accurately Measures ABV In Mead!
I chose this hydrometer to measure the alcohol level in my son's mead. At any given time, he has a few carboys going with different mead recipes. When done, he measures the alcohol content in his mead concoctions with this hydrometer. Although he did have to use his existing test jar (one is not included with this hydrometer), the readings were still accurate. Highly recommended, especially for Amazon's low listed selling price.
