1 STAR quality If your looking to read Meditations you definitely should it’s amazing and has stood through time just not with this copy. It’s the cheapest made book I’ve ever had. You see right through the pages of the words on the other side because of how thin the paper is. After just a couple times of picking it up to read the pages start to unbind Then you got gold dust on whatever it touches from the cover It’s a great read just buy it from someone else

This is a gorgeous edition of the writings of Marcus Aurelius. The page edges are gold as well as the front script. The chapters are short with space between for easy contemplation. The print is not too small, which is important to me. One unfortunate thing is that the pages are stuck together. I figure I can unstick them as I read. I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

The pages are almost all painted together. I have never seen this before. I don't know if this is normal. They must be carefully parted or destroyed. I tried carefully pulling the pages apart and torn the edge of a page and slip a page about an inch. Then I switched to a knife and accidentally poked a hole in a page. This makes this book tedious.

Seems old, but everything is applicable in essence to our days. The surroundings evolved around us but the gist of the mankind remains the same

I've been reading this book every night for about a month or two now and I truly recommend it. If you wanna know the change your mind goes through while reading this try it yourself and find out.

There are so many versions of Meditations. Reviews of which version to get is hard sometimes because the photos were not matching the book I was looking to order. I do own another version that is annotated which I do like to help expand on some of the thoughts but THIS version is what I was looking for. Simple. A bit more artistic. Hardcover. Each page is spread out and the thoughts are spaced out. This is a type of book that one can enjoy in bite sized snippets to ponder and this book showcases that. The pages are thin but it makes it feel artistic. I love the fact this was written nearly 2000 years ago. If you are looking for an artistic version, you too will be happy with this version like I am for a reasonable price.
