Works well at a great price
I bought this to help balance and charge my 2016 Prius C-type battery modules (not for the faint of heart-- make sure you do your homework before attempting this), and I have to say this power supply exceeded my expectations. It has a constant current mode and a constant voltage mode, but the interesting and convenient feature is that it switches automatically between these two modes according to the load you attach. If you set the max current to 2 amps, and the max voltage to 8.0 volts, it will deliver 2 amps while the battery voltage is at 7.7, 7.8, 7.9 and then when it reaches 8.0 volts it automatically switches to constant voltage mode and the current drops. It doesn't go to zero at first, because the battery was at 8.0v in part because of internal resistance, so the thing gently lowers the current and prevents the voltage from exceeding 8 volts. This was extremely convenient, as it allowed me to leave it unattended for periods of time without worry I would damage the modules by over charging. There are purpose-built battery chargers that will also do such things, with some added benefits of measuring the battery capacity in the process, but honestly I wasn't really interested in doing a deep exploration of every module, and I wanted to balance them all at once. Even quite expensive battery chargers can't produce the high current you need for large parallel banks of EV modules, so this ended up beating out the hobbyist battery charges so badly I returned those and I'm keeping this. The way I used it was to switch the whole battery from series to parallel by reversing the orientation of every other module (again-- you have to know what you are doing to try this, I have a degree in EE), and then I ran a 14 AWG wire connecting all the negatives together, and another connecting all the positives together. I just hooked up the power supply to the bank all at once. I set it to a max voltage of 8.0v and a max current of 4 amps (which divided by 20 battery modules is way below the 0.1C current standard), and then I could walk away and let the device do its thing. If you go to the trouble to check the output voltage delivered with the value that the unit displays on the screen, be sure to measure the voltage at the terminals-- as the voltage drop at 4A in the leads is significant. I found the readout to be decently accurate (though its only 2 decimal places past the decimal point, so not an ultra-high precision voltmeter by any means). I really like it. When its working hard, the fan turns on to prevent overheating, so it has a little personality to it to boot. It is a sign of the times that I was able to buy a $35 module, and a $30 power supply and then repair a hybrid battery that the repair shop wanted $3600 to fix. Today I have a perfectly working Prius C-type, a really sweet power supply, and $3535 dollars in my pocket. SMH.

The accuracy of the voltage is outstanding
Very good power supply this is my second one they work perfectly

Great bench power supply for home electronics tinkering and prototyping.
This is an awesome bench power supply for a great price. You have coarse and fine control for both voltage and current output, plus power/on and current/on buttons for safety. You also have a 5 volt, 2 amp USB/A output option for providing stable power to prototype controllers like arduino or raspberry pi. I've used this bench power supply for a few projects, and it is a definite electronics tinkerer necessity. I've used it to test everything from GPUs to power tools, and it has been great. It was also great for cold-diagnosing problems with various electronics after a recent flood, to see if problems could be easily fixed or it would be better to toss the product and move on. If you are designing any battery-powered prototypes, a bench power supply like this is absolutely essential, as any chemical batteries put out unpredictable moving currents and voltages. This saves you from having to work with boost/buck until the last minute when you already have everythign tuned. I actually bought this for myself as a birthday present... and I'm very glad that I did.

Good budget power supply
Works as it should. The adjustments can be a little finicky but overall it is a great budget bench power supply.

It works well if significant figures don't matter
It works well. It puts out the constant voltage and automatically converts to constant current when it needs to. I have two problems with it. The Voltage Fine knob is right next to the current read out, so I'm constantly using the Voltage Fine knob to try and change the current. All of the adjustment knobs are basically potentiometers and not rotary encoders. That means there's no clicky-clicky to know how far you've gone. And the display lags a half second behind the knob. So you use the course knob to get close to 1.000 amps, and then try to use the fine knob to get to exactly 1.000 amps, and you end up at 1.002 amps. So you back track, and now you're at 0.997 amps. So what. It's a milliamp or two. I know. But if you want all that accuracy to the last milliamp, it's going to be hard to get. Would I recommend it? Sure, because it does it's job well. But when you buy it, just keep in mind that getting to exactly 5.00 volts and 1.000 amps is going to be tough. If you can live with 4.97 volts and 1.005 amps, then this is a great power supply.

Great Customer Service
Great customer service. My power bank stopped working about six months after purchasing and the seller made it right. Power bank works great, easy to use, and cheap. What more could you ask for. Would be happy to buy from this seller again.

This thing is amazing!
This thing is precise. I upgraded my leads and charging cable of course but the unit itself is just amazing for the price. I bought mine to charge and wake up a LTO car audio battery. Which is not a simple, safe or straightforward process if you’re a beginner like me. The quality of this charger is excellent. Screen is nice and bright. It doesn’t make any noise and is compact and sturdy.the cool thing is that it works with basically any type of battery and has a USB port if u wanna charge your phone on it. I wouldn’t mind definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a versatile charger.
