My students love this device. it's easier and more fun to pass around the room than our hand-held mic provided by my school. We use it to practice multiplication facts as well as choral reading. It automatically mutes when in movement, so we don't worry about strange sounds. You do need to teach your students to pause for just a second before speaking - it needs to be still for a second or two before unmuting. At first, students would shake it thinking it wasn't working, which mutes it longer. Wireless connection to the base receiver is flawless. It took a few minutes to adjust the levels to avoid feedback with our classroom speakers - like any mic would. This device is awesome. It's well worth the current price.

Great idea that doesn't work well. Cuts in and out, sound quality is very thin and low level output. Distance is questionable. May be ok for a small classroom with young kids, but not much more than that.

I get mire participation from all students and want to rhrow the ball and hear their friends response.

This is a great way to engage your class and overcome the inability to read lips while students who often talk too softly are doing so behind masks. The electrical parts (charger and opening to connect the charger inside the ball itself} have not proven to be super sturdy, thanks to my mishandling of these items during careless transporting while teaching from room to room on a cart. Still, the benefits have far outweighed the risks. I bought this one, now my second, promising myself to be more careful.
