Tackling both normal and extreme scenarios, this is an entertaining and enlightening exploration of the world's weather. With bright, friendly illustrations, plus pop-ups, pull-tabs, and booklets, this interactive book stimulates learning and encourages children to think about how humans can influence the world's climate. Review: Beautiful book - I bought this for my 6 year old for xmas....but soon discovered it was going to be too old for him, as even i was learning lots of new information. My friend has the book for her 6 year old and thought the same as me. I am now going to give it to my 10 year old instead. The front cover is misleading, making it look like it would be a book for a younger child, but the info inside is quite technical, and very useful for teens studying geography or weather topics. Not many pages, but each page is fun, with things to turn and pull, and snippets of learning. Plenty of pictures. There are pages on cyclones, clouds and weather from years gone by and how it has changed, global warming and other bits. It will be a useful book for many years to come, and passed on through the family. Review: Fabulous book - I bought this thinking it would be for a similar age group as Look Inside: Your Body , but I think this is, or at least should be, aimed at much older children. While you still get the beautifully illustrated pages, with lots of interactive flaps and pop ups, the information is very detailed. That's not to say that younger children won't appreciate it; my five year old adores this book. But the subjects included are certainly not aimed at his age group. It is a fabulous book to have though. I flicked through it one evening and learnt about how they predict the weather. I showed it to my Dad when they came up to stay and he had a lovely time reading it too! I imagine this will be a book that we keep for many years, and it will get referred to more and more as time goes on.

Great book
My daughter is just over 8 and whilst this book is great for detail might be a little to old for her. BUT the fact that it has pull-out flaps and you can dip in to bits of information makes it something that she picks up and reads a little of, so I think it will be a book that she grows into. Arrived in good time and well packaged, good value for money too.

Wish I could give it 100 stars!
Seriously this book is the most amazingly wonderful book for kids ive ever seen. We home educate so have zillions of books on every topic but this one is just the best. The material is interesting and challenging enough for at least a 7/8 year old but fun enough for younger siblings to enjoy as there are lots of flaps and pop ups. The material is also perfectly organised (somethings Usborne books often struggle with). Can't recommend it highly enough! Order it now!

very interesting
A wonderful book all about the weather. There is lots for the kids to explore and learn about. I was quite surprised but how much detail there is in the book. Really worth it.

Very informative for 9+
Great book, I bought it for my 4 year old but it's far too old for her at the mo. I'm learning plenty from it. Will be a great book when she's older, probably more for 9 plus. Really well put together book with great diagrams and loads of info about weather systems etc. wish I'd had something like this when I was young! Might have stuck at Geography then!

Great book
Lovely book and packed full of information. It is too advanced for my 4 year old although there are still some concepts that he can grasp such as the 'journey of a raindrop'. I think this book is better for 7/8+ years as goings into climate change etc. Great book though.
