The Pocket Guide to Prepper Knots: A Practical Resource to Knots That Can Help You Survive

This book is excellent. The quality. The size. The information and step by step instructions. The pictures. The uses for each knot. All perfect. Also the fact that the author limited the number of knots featured. Most people will never need to know how to tie 200 different knots. I bought three copies for myself and two sons. They were put into survival kits we carry in our vehicles in case we are ever stranded somewhere. Plenty of everyday applications also. Kudos to the author. I couldn't praise this book enough.

I am not a prepper, but was looking for a good multi functions knot book for a scout interested in wildness survival techniques. I chose this one because it's descriptive with good illustrations and the compact size will easily fit in a pocket or pack. There's not as many knots illustrated, but the first few chapters look to be good background information on the essentials of knots, which is good for a beginner or young person.

I was hoping for a more in depth guide for advanced Knot Tying. However, the book states on page 9 this is more "multi-purpose" knots and has a "less is more" attitude. Unfortunately, I know most of these so I will likely gifting this to a sibling or friend. This book DOES offer very well defined and pictured instructions for every knot I learned in Boy Scouts and when I learned to Fish. Newbies to camping/hiking/survival/fishing/hunting will find this an excellent resource. Four Stars because the description failed to mention this is for beginners, but the book is still great for what it is.

Essential reference book, but read it first and keep it forever.

This book gives clear well-illustrated instructions for a number of useful knots. Included are descriptions of what sort of rope works best in different situations as well as what knot is best for different purposes.

Found this useful and worthwhile. Very good descriptions and instructions. I would highly recommend everyone to read this and PRACTICE the knots.

Needs more knots to teach.

Easy to follow and good usable knots.

Seemed to be very clearly explained and focused on basic knots. Unfortunately the knots were a duplication of a previous book I had purchased.
