Got a Dewalt tool that has a dust removal capability? This is the thing for you. If you have a numatic/Henry hoover, your life will be much improved. No hose cutting is required, simply push in the two retaining pins on the hose end, remove the nozzle and push the retaining ring down. You can then either, push fit this adapter onto the now visible sleeve, or unscrew the sleeve and directly screw the adapter onto the hose.The best option is to buy an aftermarket hose that you can get in length up to 7 metres, which is extremely useful, and use the method described, leaving your original hose intact and just swap between the two as required.Not the cheapest adapter out there but works brilliantly every time and save so much aggravation, mess and time. It will make your life better.

I wanted to leave a review to help anyone in my specific situation as I found it a real hassle to figure out what accessories I need to buy to connect my Karcher WD5 to my DeWalt DCW210 sander.From what I read online, I was worried I would need multiple adaptors including this one, but I was pleased to find that I could just friction fit the standard WD5 hose into this connector and it holds well, even working up a ladder.I also tested my Numatic hose, if you remove the part at the end of the hose (where you connect the accessories), you can friction fit it nicely too.This part is expensive for what it is but I didn't want to tape a vacuum hose to my sander. The set up is working well for me.

Great product, works as it should. I've given it four stars though as this tiny bit of plastic cost 10% of the price of the mitre saw itself.Considering the mess the saw makes without this, it should really be included with it, or at the very least a sensible price would be around the £8 - £10.Want to do it yourself -A 40mm pushfit straight coupler (i used a floplast WP08 - cost £1.12), fits nicely and gives an airtight connection due to the rubber ring, on my DWS777 mitre saw - I then put a small length of 40mm waste pipe inside the other end of the coupler, then I attached a 40mm compression coupler (floplast WC08 - cost £1.63) to the other end of waste pipe. I then popped off the plastic nozzle on my Henry vacuum, and this is held in nicely by the compression fitting - total cost £2.75! (and its more airtight as there are rubber seals around the saw and vacuum connections, the Dewalt conector doesnt have any rubber seals).

This vacuum hose adapter seems to be robust and well made but I also think it's expensive for what it is, and as a health and safety item I think the price ought to be kept low and possibly even bundled with the relevant tools. I mean - £80 for a multispeed random orbital sander - £18 for this plasti hose connector - it's disproportionate!Moving on, it does lock on to my sander - a big plus as I hate rickety connections. The other end is claimed to thread on to a standard vacuum cleaner suction hose. I've only tried with a recently purchased Henry. I think it would thread on, but, when I dismantled the fitting that couples the hose to the wand (not something to do repeatedly) I discovered that there was a casing apparently glued onto the end of the hose which I couldn't even loosen. I was about to cut it off when I had the idea to offer it up to the adapter. To my surprise it went in quite a way and then seemed to seat quite snugly - so I'm going to try it like this. I've decided that if it proves unsatisfactory I will buy a cheap replacement hose and trim the end, keeping the original intact for conventional vacuuming duties. (I tried a cheap hose on an earlier Henry and it never gripped the wand properly!) Hope this is helpful !

I wanted an easy way to connect my De Walt rotary sander to my Karcher vacuum. This, with an adaptor to fit the vacuum seemed to be ideal, although quite expensive for a piece of plastic. At first I was disappointed; after several attempts I was not able to get the connector to lock onto the sander. The ring would rotate to just short of the lock position but no further. I contacted De Walt who were very helpful and suggested I wasn't properly lining up the two pieces. They were right, when you fit the connector you need to give an extra push to be sure it is fully seated on the sander, the ring will then rotate with minimal effort to the locked position with a satisfying click.Thanks to Ryan U at De Walt customer services, problem solved.

OK so it's DeWalt and therefore over priced, let's accept that from the outset. That does mean however, that it fits to DeWalt kit properly without any fuss.The other end fits the hose from a Henry after the shaped nozzle has been removed but the bung is still in place, that means it's a simple push fit which is very convenient. Once the Henry is running there is a fair bit of noise from the sander, the Henry motor and the sound of the air being sucked through but dust removal is excellent. I do not use it with the bag attachment but having accidentally forgotten to switch on the Henry once I can say that dust removal is, as you would expect, nowhere near as efficient.

Pleasant to find it did actually fit my hose, but will have to swap ends for different machines. The second time I tried to remove it, it got jammed on and could only be remove by scrunching the hose. I was more careful the third the third time and didn't screw it on so hard, but had the same problem. So only attach it lightly! It is nice to have efficient dust extraction for my sander though.

This is excellent I finally found something that fitted the vacuum connection on my dewalt miter saw that actually works it easy to connect and appears to be durable you still get a bit of dust but the majority is sucked away
