My hearth is only 30cm in depth but breast wall is quite deep. The wall and hearth come out 66cm in total, would this product be suitable?

It only comes out about 45cm so would go past the breast by 16 cm but obviously not to the wall. Should be ok though.

Bang a nail into the skirting board and tie a bit or cord say 9 inch's up the fireguard and tie to the nail, repeat on the other side. It works with our 10mth old grand daughter as she can pull herself up without the guard falling over.
