Bahco brand and correct size
Got this blade to replace the original i i had managed to use to the point it was blunt so no longer doing a good job of removing paint and varnish from wood efficiently. It’s the branded bahco and nice and sharp . Working its way nice and efficient through some varnish on a dining table and chairs I’m doing a furniture flip on . Saves so much time and effort much less mess than a paint stripper or a sander. Highly recommend

Sharpest the longest
Bahco products are quite expensive but are full value for the consistent high level of sharpness ease of use and retention of edge. I have used these tools for varnish removal. There seems to be a handle design to get to most awkward areas with easy change blade replacement.

Do you really need it?
Firstly, the price I paid, £13.95 which looking back is rather expensive for a 65 mill piece of carbon. When you compare them to the price of electric planer blades which are exactly the same and you can pick up a pack of ten of those for half the price on Amazon. I used it for stripping oil from oak worktops before sanding so not a lot of pressure, but the blade was significantly dulled on one side on just one length of worktop. As for a reviewer saying his was bent, they are concave on purpose otherwise no matter how careful you are the ends would dig into your woodwork sooner or later. I suppose for a one off job they are sufficient, but if you had a lot of work to do it could turn out rather expensive. If you are a DIY'er and only want it for one job you can buy a tool with the blade included for less money. I know people will make up there own minds, but personally I would not buy another.

Amazing Device
This thing is amazing, I have tried all other methods of stripping the paint from my skirting boards that I can think of. Most did not trouble the paint ( goodness knows what the devilish substance actually is ) in the least bit, those that did required an inordinate amount of time and effort to strip even tiny areas. This thing just eats it up. Its so satisfying. Having endured weeks of the paint squatting on its boards laughing me its a real joy to at last hold the whip hand. Its not an effort free process, you need to be quite vigorous but vigour is rewarded. I also tried it on the varnish on the window frames, that is much easier to strip in general and with this it just comes off with one or two strokes. Beautiful.

Great blades
Tough and durable only 2 blades in a pack however they are double edged so you get x 4 use a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for!

You'll never buy another scraper like a Bahco!
I own a ranch that is sided in all cedar shakes. Moved into the house 1 1/2 ago and wasnt sure if I was going to pull off the cedar shakes or side. I decided to keep the shakes because they give the house a certain kind of country look that we like. But man, these things were peeling paint badly. Did a lot of reading up on how to prep a house for painting wood shakes. I was thinking that this is going to take a lot of work and time and was mostly going to be in the preparation for painting. Well wound up getting the Bahco after reading all the good reviews and they weren't kidding! The scraper is the bomb. That little double edged carbide blade is making mince meat out of the paint. I tried power washing but NG. It all comes down to the elbow grease method. Besides you run a good risk of damaging the shakes with a power washer. So being newly retired I tried the Bahco out and was amazed. Never afraid of hard work I went to town on the shakes and man this thing really does the job. Being double edged I just maybe able to do the whole house with this one double sided blade. Bought two more blades just in case. Ergonomically its comfortable handle and angled head make it a breeze to get into any nook and cranny. So I readily recommend this product if you are going to take on a big job like Im involved with now. Grandson will be over this weekend to get up at the peaks while grandpa paints the already scraped exterior walls. Best to wear a face mask and hat as the dust and paint specks go flying all over the place. And on an older home you have to be wary of any lead based paint as well. UPDATE: we're halfway thru and still recommend the Bahco.

Quality product
Exactly as ordered....not cheap but good quality and last longer that others if you can find them to fit the particular scraper. Beware of copies, the metal they use does not last, it chips on knots or other defects in softwood. These last the distance
