Maped Galactic One Hole Pencil Sharpener (Assorted Colours)

Never had this variety of pencil sharpener before initially I had trouble trying to open it to empty out the shavings but once I’ve sussed that it was good it cuts nicely and evenly and you can even press it and a piece of lead will be ejective if you sharpen it too much. Very good pencil sharpener.

These are generally great sharpeners, that slip into your pocket easily and unobtrusively. They hold a load of shavings and can kick out broken leads. Buy 'em by the box. Pity the blades are not replaceable, though - in these days of reducing plastic waste, they should be...

really good sharpener!! doesn’t take long at all to get pencils sharp and feels nice in hand. not very big, which is fine for me because it means it fits in my pencil case.

It sharpens very well, for a while. After a few weeks it blunts. Main criticism is that you cannot buy replacement blades for this, so the plastic goes to landfill after a very short life.

Always a fan of Maped sharpeners, since my very random first experience with one as a kid (it lasted the longest out of all the sharpeners I remember and made an impression). This one doesn't disappoint! Cheap, I was lucky enough to receive my favorite color of the available options (a dark pink), and it sharpened my colored pencils flawlessly. I do have a couple of pencils that are basically duds, and it eventually did an okay job on those too; that said, the button to eject broken tips only sort of works, but it does make removing the tip easier.

Just as described

sharpens really well without damaging pencils. The container is a good size whilst being small enough to fit inside a pencil case and the lead ejection system is brilliant for smaller children

It does not sharp

My kids love these sharpeners for school. If you break the tip off inside the sharpener, you just push a button to scoot it out. No more picking at it with an unfolded paperclip! Also, the housing stands up to a lot of use/abuse. You can't go wrong with this sharpener.
