My family grows cranberries, and during the spring, we need to know the air temperature on the bogs so we know when there is a frost. We protect the budding vines by running our sprinkler systems when the temperature drops below 35 degrees. Previously, we would go to our pump houses and check the temperature gauge there, usually in the middle of the night. We have six, and they are spread out. We bought one of these YoLinks to test how well they work. We placed the sensor out in the middle of one of the bogs (Just an FYI, cranberries do NOT grow in water) a good distance from the house, and it works great. It reads the same temperature that the sensor that controls our sprinklers reads, and it is great to be able to open the app and see what the temperature is. We will be purchasing more for the other bogs.

I needed something to monitor the glycol temperature and my boiler system. This is a very easy set up easy to use app and it works as well as I had expected. You just have to keep in mind in order for the battery to last as long as it does, it does not give you Constant real time temperature readings. It just waits for fluctuations before Checking. You can set it to monitor every five minutes 10 minutes half hour pretty much whatever you would like but if the temperature is a 180° for a half an hour, it will not report a change because it didn’t change. That’s how it saves battery Life Other than that it is a fantastic product.

I use these in a couple of different ways and they have been extremely useful. For my pool and hot tub, I mount the sensor under the skimmer cover and let the probe dangle into the water. That lets me see the water temperature at a glance, and I can set alerts so when I am heating the hot tub, I get notified when it reaches the temperature I want. The sensors are not fully immersed, but they have held up well to outdoor exposure. I did have one instance where water got inside a sensor, but after cleaning it out, it started working again without issue. I also use one in my pool filter shed with the probe attached directly to the filter motor. After having a pump fail to prime once and overheat, this has been a great safeguard. I now get an alert if the motor temperature goes too high, giving me time to shut it down before damage occurs. For monitoring temperature and getting timely alerts, these have been very effective and reliable for my use cases.

This is probably the single best purchase I've made for my pool. Does exactly what it is supposed to do, accurate, easily connects and syncs with wifi/app, and gives me data trends which I love. Phenomenal product, I would repurchase 10 times over but the beautiful thing I don't have to!! Battery life is still going strong 2 years in! Couldn't be happier.

I purchased this about 18 months ago to monitor water temperature of our (unheated) pool and it's worked flawlessly. The app is basic, but easy to setup and configure notifications. The original battery still shows 75% capacity after 18 months of continuous use. The case is left out in the rain and full southern California sun. The Homebridge-YoLink plugin has also worked perfectly — allowing easy review of the temperature, as well as triggering automations in Apple HomeKit.

I purchased and installed this on a small anchor a mostly hidden feature wall on my in-ground swimming pool. The box sits above the water level, hanging about 8 inches above the top edge of the pool surround, with the wire hanging down into the water. It tracks the pool temperature on an hourly basis, allowing me to see how the pool's temperature is swinging throughout the days. With the amazing range of the YoLink LoRa communication protocol, this thing has NO problems remaining connected with the YoLink hub that's on the other end of the house, on the second floor, in a closet. Beyond working great for tracking water temperature, this unit has proven quite durable and waterproof, surviving deluge level water, including the recent Hurrican Beryl, with no issues (and nicely tracked the roughly 10 deg. F drop in average water temperature brought about by the hurricane). The only downside is the continued requirement that all YoLink devices must have an Internet connection. This sensor will store values when the Internet is unavailable, and then transmit them when the connection is restored, but it would be nice if YoLink would come out with a solution that allows fully local sensor tracking.

I recently purchased the YoLink Weatherproof Fluid, Air, Surface Extreme High/Low Temperature Sensor with Probe, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my decision! This sensor has exceeded my expectations in every way. First off, the installation was a breeze. The instructions were clear, and within minutes, I had it set up and running. This temperature monitoring system software failed when our deep freezer compressor stopped working. The system sent one high temp alarm notification at 5 degrees and never sent another notice that the temperature continued to raise to 70+ degrees. Over 7 days the freezer temp increased and the software shows all the temperatures logged by the sensor on the app, but no further notification was sent to me letting me know of the continued temperature raise. This is the only reason we purchased this system because of the alert system, unfortunately I was not aware it is not programmed to alert you after one alert is sent. The entire freezer contents around $1,000 worth of food were found because we opened the door to remove food and found the contents to be completely thawed, spoiled and had to be disposed of. I notified the company regarding this software/equipment problem, and they said this is how their equipment works, and the alarm software and equipment worked properly. There was NO compensation for the food loss and was told "Sorry" when I contacted the company letting them know of this equipment and software failure. I requested some food loss reimbursement since I have all the logs showing the system was aware of the temperatures and I was informed if they covered food loss for everyone they would be out of business. That says the company knows they have a problem with their products failing and still are happy to sell them with the loss being placed on you. I DO NOT recommend this product. I would NEVER use this product ever again and have replaced my system with a ThermoWorks Node product.

Worked great for the pool hooked up to our existing hub for water leaks easily with scan code

Sensor and hub work brilliantly, easy setup, excellent range and battery life. Integrates with home assistant easily and YoLink app works well. Unfortunately US and UK devices are incompatible, which wasn't mentioned before purchase, so importing YoLink from Amazon US is best avoided. Sadly it appears a UK/EU version of the weatherproof temperature sensor isn't available yet.

I use this to remotely monitor the temperature inside the eavestrough for my heat trace. The attached probe is waterproof and the Yolink app allows me to set alerts to automatically trigger on/off of a Yolink outdoor power outlet to turn the heat trace on and off to avoid freezing and blocking of a downspout. This also saves me money when temperatures are so cold that snow isn’t melting or warm enough that water is flowing that it will automatically turn off. Love it!

I own several sensors and a hub . This is the best purchase I had made on Amazon . Phenomenal for what it does . I had placed it in wall next to pipes to measure temperature . Sets up in a second and provides accurate reading .

Setup was unbelievably easy. Works great for the hot tube, will have to see how long it lasts. Got the hub as well, also unbelievably easy to set up
