Alfie's Feet

I read this to my children and bought it again recently as a present. Simple story and attractive pictures and would appeal to any small child.

I remembered reading this to my kids back in the early Nineties and fast forward to now my Granddaughter of Fifteen months loves this book. Beautifully written by the ever popular Shirley Hughes with wonderfully accurate illustrations I'm sure every child would love following Alfie's feet into the puddles and every parent would identify with the text.

Does Shirley Hughes really need a recommendation........her stories are so realistic and children can easily relate to the content...lovely illustrations too when you get tired of the endless cartoons

I wanted to get this book for my niece because i remembered loving it as a kid, squealed once i opened the package it's just as beautiful and sweet a book as I remember.

Great story, I bought it because my son was obsessed with his yellow wellington boots

I bought this book for my daughters because it was my favourite as a child. Shirley Hughes books do not get old. It gave me all the feels reading it now as it did back then and I love that my children now share the love too.

Bought this for my 3.5 yr old son, as we both enjoy Alfie's stories. This one we found he was a little old for, suited more to 2 yrs perhaps, so his little brother will have it. Its a sweet story about Alfie and his little sister and Alfie getting new boots. Lovely story, just suited a younger audience.

My daughter didn't like her yellow wellies at all when she first got them, but after reading Alfie's Feet with her for a few days she was keen to wear them to splash about in puddles just like Alfie. Now its hard to get them off her. Another lovely book from Shirley Hughes, lovely illustrations, lovely characters, and as a parent I particularly enjoy how messy their home is, just like ours!!

A charming book about the simple joy of getting new boots. Shirley Hughes has a gift of sharing a basic tale in a warm and engaging manner. A perfect read for 2-5 year olds.

I’m very happy with this book but unfortunately it was damaged due to the delivery person stuffing it into the letter box

Perfect condition, clean, brand new. Arrived well before the expected date. Lovely illustrations and storyline, purchased for my grandson.

All the Alfie books are great for children and parents to share. The illustrations give the characters real personalities and a sense of the home they live in.
