I recently purchased the NEEWER Side Handle Grip with Wireless Remote Control Button Shutter Trigger (PA005E) for my smartphone video rig, and I’m thoroughly impressed with its performance and versatility. This handle is a game-changer for anyone looking to elevate their mobile videography setup. The ergonomic design is a standout feature. The grip, made of durable anodized aluminum alloy with a non-slip rubber coating, feels comfortable and secure in hand, even during extended shooting sessions. At just 6oz, it’s lightweight yet sturdy, adding stability to my rig without weighing it down. The included wrist strap slot provides extra peace of mind when filming on the move. The wireless Bluetooth shutter button is a fantastic addition. Pairing it with my iPhone was seamless, and it worked flawlessly with both the native camera app and third-party apps like Blackmagic Camera. The shutter trigger is responsive, eliminating camera shake and making it easy to capture photos or start/stop video recordings. The 100mAh rechargeable battery lasts all day, and the USB-C charging port is a convenient touch, though I wish a cable was included. What sets this handle apart is its compatibility. The two mounting adapters ensure it fits perfectly with both NEEWER and SmallRig cages, including my SmallRig 4077 for iPhone 14 Pro Max. The adapter with locating pins prevents rotation, ensuring a rock-solid connection. Paired up easily with phone (Samsung S23 Ultra). Handles fit fine on my Neewer phone cage and can be used on right or left side. Love how the allen wrench to tighten screws is held in handle by tiny magnets so no searching around for the wrench! And there is a cold shoe on top of the handle that can be used for a small light or microphone. The cage also has cold shoes but this puts the light off to the side so more lighting options. Handle is sturdy. The only thing I don't care for is the rubberized parts. I know it helps grip, but all these rubbery parts get funky after awhile. Charges via USB C. Happy I purchased this handle.

Works great as a side handle for the Neewer cage that it affixes to. Well-made and very, very reasonably priced.

This handle makes taking photos and video a lot easier. With the shutter button only a short distance from your finger, you can still maintain a steady grip while pressing the button. It comes with a cold shoe mount and there is a connection available in the base to add another cold shoe or attach to a tripod. There is even a storage slot with a magnet for the Allen wrench to adjust the handle rails to connect to your camera cage. With a USB C connection port it has the potential to recharge fairly quickly. The sturdy nature of the handle allows for a good grip and I know that attaching a strap to the base or use of the cold shoe will not fail on me any time soon. The connectivity by Bluetooth allows for each button press to function each and every time I press it while it is on. My only complaint is that the rails seem a bit long on the handle and I wish it came with the option to have it mount on shorter rails so the handle was closer to the cage.

Works great - there are a few tricks to the side 1/4-20 screws as mentioned in another review but it is nice and stable and ADJUSTABLE so it is able to attach to many different camera cages.

I had already got handles for this rig (came with the rig), but wanted something with more surface area and push button recording capabilities. This works perfectly. about the handles, it's half metal, half plastic. However, the fit is perfect on the rig, there's no wobbling around. The handles feel good and solid on the hand, I ordered two so the handles match on both sides, even though I will only connect one. It does not appear Neewer makes a handle in this shape without push button connectivity. Connection was effortless. I'm happy with this purchase

Bought this for my I phone 15 Pro Max which I use for almost every video I create and almost all my photography. I have a bunch of gimbals and tri pods but this little grip is now my one and only it’s sleek which means it doesn’t limit my shot, and it has accessories in mind a handy light shoe mount. It also has a type c plug in as well and when mounted to the video cage which is not included an important fact the setup is extremely sturdy. Neewer has so many other items for filming I am now a customer for life and there products will be my go to for all my media creation needs. I highly recommend this item and will be reviewing more of there products in the near future!

Functionality: the shutter button works great. I have had no problem with connecting it to the phone via bluetooth. Connection is almost instant with no effort on my part. Push the button and it delivers an instant picture. I’ve never had any issues with it connecting to the phone and doing what it’s expected to do. Form: I subtracted two stars because the grip is bulky, and I have a hard time getting my hand around it while reaching for the button comfortably. The button should be on front in a position for use with the index finger or on back for use with the thumb. The arms protrude more than I feel they should and overall seems to feel like it doubles my phone’s size and weight when attached with the Neewer cage for iPhone .

The build quality is excellent- solid comfortable to hold, and the Bluetooth shutter works instantly. It’s a great addition to my setup and makes shooting much more easier. Highly recommended.
