In testing, this completely eliminated noise from an external USB audio interface.Some testing was performed using a Siglent 200MHz oscilloscope and a Feeltech FY6800 signal generator.Natural transformer resonance is over 200KHz and the audio performance is pretty flat from 20Hz up to way beyond 40KHz, where some peaking starts to occur.Below 30Hz there is some evidence of non-linearity though it is, in fact, better than another unit I tested recently. Crosstalk was also very good, I could not measure any significant crosstalk at 1V in across the full frequency range.Square wave slew rate was exceptional. The output slew rate was better than 1V/us and although some ringing was evident, this was damped with a 1.2K load resistor. Since the ringing is essentially at the transformer resonant frequency it's way beyond the audio bandwidth anyway.Apart from some non-linearity below 30Hz, which is unlikely to be audible, I can't see any reason it would introduce colouration into the signal.Note that despite a review claiming this unit is not a stereo device, this is not correct. It does operate as a stereo isolator.

We have a PC feeding our sound desk. The PC line out suddenly developed a nasty background white noise / hum which I initially thought might be a dying pc power supply or sound card. Didn’t think an earth loop would have appeared overnight although not beyond the possible at our venue. Anyway, before changing the sound card and PSU I thought I’d try this cheap little option and it got rid of the hum fantastically. Might be a sticking plaster for now but solves my immediate problem brilliantly.

Markly reduced the noise from my computer speakers but not entirely. However it is acceptable to how bad it was originally.

I very seldom give a 5 star review but this inexpensive attenuator 'cured' a type of ground loop effect on my car stereo without fuss.My quite old Toyota Yaris Verso had an aftermarket Sony stereo fitted and I noticed a familiar earth-open effect when using an MP3 aux-in player. Radio and CD appeared to be free from parasitic noise and I deduced that earthing (grounding) the AUX could be tiresome as the Sony case is earthed.At this price point it was worth trying the FeinTech even if was just a ferrite bead device with nothing fancy inside. The problem was fully cured straightaway without any degradation of volume or frequency response on most music but needs a slight bass increase in quiet classical music. Just a very small adjustment suffices. Here I an talking about something challenging in that respect such as Bruckner's 5th and some low frequency Nordic music only listened to by people who like a bit of misery in with their '60s to '80s pop blues and electronica. Yes, we exist.Commentators leaving negative reviews mention a variety of electronic ailments and it needs to be stressed that an item in this price range is not designed for analytics, nor will it do anything about phase issues in hi-fi multi-channel rigs. Anyone who uses such ought to know how to phase test and attend to connections on speakers or outlets.Attenuation of loudness and/or the need to adjust EQ can be expected where a product of this sort is used because it addresses current smoothing in a minor way and that is all. Users should be sure to assess the probable causes of their parasitic noises.My audio expectations in a motor vehicle are very different from those I have with 'high end' audio and, as cars become stupidly crammed with electronic 'toys' all getting current through quite cheap ECM components, relays and sub-standard wiring looms, unwanted interference will appear with age no matter how grand the make or what brand name is marked on the 'infotainment' as badge hiring is a sub-trade of some so called respectable firms. The exact requirements and limits of expensive audio products are given in manuals and if they are not, do not buy them because they will not last.Just one criticism of this FeinTech product is that the short 3.5 cable jacks are cheap ones and it is worth spending a few £s on a better quality short cable.

I bought this because I have a slight humming since moving my speakers such that they have to be plugged into a different socket to my PC. Unfortunately this device made the buzzing _significantly_ worse. I tried it both ways around and with multiple cables, but nothing helped.

I bought this because I use a Macbook Pro and a Windows gaming Pc and my headset is a Corsair Void Pro wireless headset, I connect my Macbook to my Pc via line in socket form my headphone socket on the Macbook so I can use my headset for both Macbook and Pc at the same time, how ever when my Macbook was connected to my dell monitor via usb-c the interference was really bad, plugged in the FeinTech ATG00101 Audio Ground Loop Isolator Filter Suppressor and it silenced the interference completely.I can recommend this device as it worked perfectly for me and was good value to and it allowed me to use my headset for listening to audio on 2 devices at the same time without having to mess about.

As the PS5 doesn't have audio out anymore apart from the Hdmi I needed another solution. Luckily my Monitor has an headphone socket so I used it to connect to the Audio Jack on my Astro A50. Sadly there was an awful lot of hum on the sound, this little gismo solved it completely as far as I can tell. I have tinnitus so my ears whine all the time so there may be some noise left masked by that.

Used to have an extreme crackle when hooking up my work laptop with my monitors onto my professional studio monitors. This little filter solved the issue entirely. Honestly did not expect the result to be this good. Amazed and pleased!

Inséré entre un DSP et un émetteur HF. Plus aucun ronflement dans le HP du DSP ! Je suis très content. Attention dans mon cas le ronflement était généré par une boucle de masse et pas par une induction HF dans le HP lors d'une émission, il n'éliminera pas les parasites ayant d'autres causes par exemple un néon, un moteur, etc... Je recommande ce petit "isolateur", un poil cher mais très efficace.

Kurz zur Ausgangssituation:Ich habe an meinem Rechner seit ca. 11 Jahren ein 2.1 System von Logitech betrieben. (Logitech X-230) Dieses war hinter eine Sennheiser GSX1200 Pro per Klinke angeschlossen und hat in dieser Kombi tadellos funktioniert. Allerdings war das Soundsystem, im Vergleich zum Rest des Rechners, ein kleiner Schandfleck und auch die Soundqualität war zwar brauchbar, aber nicht überragend. Da ich überdies zwei Monitore nebeneinander betreibe, verschwand der linke Lautsprecher immer hinter dem linken Monitor, was natürlich der Soundqualität nicht unbedingt zu Gute kommt.Es musste also was Neues her und die Wahl fiel auf die Creative Katana X Soundbar, welche wunderbar unter meinem Hauptmonitor (beide über Monitorarme am Schreibtisch befestigt) ihren Platz eingenommen hat.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Das Problem:Die Katana X ist, neben der Hauptfunktion als Soundbar, auch eine externe USB Soundkarte (ebenso wie die Sennheiser GSX1200 Pro). Grundsätzlich bietet sich hier ein Anschluss via USB direkt an den Rechner also an. Allerdings kann ich auch auf die GSX1200 Pro nicht verzichten, da diese Soundkarte die Möglichkeit bietet, über ein Touch-Button augenblicklich zwischen dem angeschlossen Lautsprecher und einem angeschlossenen Kopfhörer/Headset umzuschalten. Das ist für mich insoweit wichtig, da ich derzeit und auch schon vor Corona im Homeoffice arbeite. Ich telefoniere hierbei auch täglich mit Kunden und nutze hierfür ausschließlich den PC via Softphone. Wenn ich also nebenbei Musik über den Lautsprecher höre und ein Anruf reinkommt, muss ich schnell auf den Kopfhörer umschalten können.Ich habe also die Katana X via USB mit dem PC und via Klinke mit der Sennheiser GSX verbunden und lasse den Sound auf der Katana über AUX spielen, allerdings hörte man hier immer ein leises Fiepen, das mit steigender Lautstärke ebenfalls lauter wurde. Bedeutet, der Sound war nicht sauber und wenn man weiß das es da ist...naja, man kennt das...Das Problem war schnell ausfindig gemacht: Betreibe ich die Katana nur über AUX hinter der Sennheiser GSX oder nur über USB direkt am Rechner, gibt es keine Probleme. Sind aber USB Kabel und AUX Kabel angeschlossen, macht der Sound auf dem AUX Eingang eben die besagten Probleme.Die Tatsache, dass die Sennheiser GSX ein aktiver Verstärker ist, stellt hier anscheinend das Problem dar, da andere Geräte, die ich über AUX (mit am Rechner via USB angeschlossener Katana) anschließe nicht zu dieser Störung führen.Natürlich könnte man jetzt sagen: "Lass das USB Kabel weg!" Theoretisch machbar, aber dann müsste ich auf die Einstellung der Soundprofile bzw. des integrierten EQ und auf die Einstellung der LED Effekte verzichten bzw. jedes Mal wenn ich was ändern will unter den Schreibtisch krabbeln. Grundsätzlich möglich, aber nervig.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Die Lösung:Der hier angebotene Entstörfilter! So einfach kann es sein...Ich hatte meine Bedenken, da es eben nicht das klassische Brummen war. Allerdings dachte ich mir, einen Versuch ist es wert und der hat auch geklappt.Die Verarbeitung des Filters ist tadelos und wirkt hochwertig. Das Gehäuse ist aus Plastik welches mit einer Soft-Touch-Oberfläche versehen wurde. Die Stecker rasten beidseitig ordentlich ein und haben kein Spiel.Ich hatte Bedenken, dass der Filter den Sound verfälscht oder abflacht. Weit gefehlt! Der Bass drückt meiner Meinung nach sogar noch etwas mehr als zuvor. Die Höhen bleiben stets klar und ohne jedwede Verzerrung. Gefühlt macht es keinen Unterschied, ob ich den Sound über USB oder Klinke abspiele.Im Ergebnis hat sich der Kauf für mich jedenfalls gelohnt. Der Störfilter hat bei mir das nervige Fiepen gänzlich behoben und selbst bei voll aufgedrehter Lautstärke (und das ist bei der Katana sehr, sehr laut...) hört man allenfalls ein kaum wahrnehmbares Grundrauschen, welches bei einer Verbindung via Klinke aber nie zu 100% zu beheben sein dürfte.Von meiner Seite daher eine 100%-ige Kaufempfehlung!
