Crucial drives are one of my favorite brands. Very reliable.
This drive was purchased for a friend (he paid for it) to replace the failing platter drive in his laptop. I installed a linux os instead of bloated Windows 11 and he is ecstatic with the performance of the "New" laptop. It now boots to a login screen in 19 seconds instead of 4 minutes plus with FAT WINDOWS. Get yourself off of Windows!

Revived Two Old Laptops
Used two of these to fix up two old (like 15+ years old) laptops just to see how they would change performance. Replaced standard hard drives with these SSD drives. Easy to install. Installed Linux OS and was just amazed at reduced boot time and functionality of such an old machine. New wireless cards and upgrades to 16GB ram along with these SSDs turned two paper weights into highly functional laptops.

Well Worth the Cost
This SSI drive was installed in a MSR laptop. The install was easy. I installed Windows 10 with no issues. It is fast and capacity is just under 500GB as expected. The cost was competitive and shipping was fast. I rate this a GOOD BUY.

A Great Value Marred By Dog-Slow Imaging Software
Crucial SSDs perform well and represent good value for the money. However, I am taking off one star because the free Acronis imaging solution is so atrociously slow it's comical. Samsung's imaging solution does not have this problem, so if you are migrating from a traditional hard drive to an SSD, you would be wise to pay a few more dollars and go with a Samsung SSD.

Niet herkend door mijn laptop
Teruggestuurd aangezien de schijf niet herkend werd door mijn laptop, terwijl mij laptop (ASUS TUF Gaming FX505) niet een heel erg oud model is.

Great Product
I bought the Crucial BX500 500GB SSD to upgrade an older laptop, and the difference is like night and day. The boot time is now just a few seconds, and everything runs smoother—from opening apps to multitasking. It gave my machine a new lease on life! Installation was quick and easy, and Crucial's free cloning software made data transfer a breeze. The 3D NAND technology offers reliable performance and great energy efficiency, which also helps with battery life. For the price, you really can't go wrong. If you're looking for a solid, budget-friendly SSD upgrade, this is definitely one of the best options out there. Highly recommended!
