Chipotle Chilli Dried Whole - 50g

I needed some smokey dried chillies for a batch of red onion chutney and found these offered from chilli pepper pete, a 50 gram bag gave me 12 dried chillies of decent size. The aromo when you open the bag immediately tells you they will add a lovely smokey flavour to any dish along with the medium heat. I've shown 3 chillies removed from the bag in the bowl ready to be rehydrated with boiling water, this is all they need for preparation and let them soak for 10 mins or so and chop. The water can be discarded if desired but i just tip it all in for extra flavour and heat. You could pay a lot more for a pack of this size and quality so overall I'm really happy with them and will order the same again in future with no hesitation. To sum up, if you enjoy a bit of heat and like a smokey chipotle flavour then these are for you.

I love these chillis so much. Looking at the other reviews, it has to be noted that they are REALLY smokey tasting but i just love the warm heat and the smokey BBQ flavour. Great in chilli con carne or just chop and mix with tomato paste for an amazing BBQ baste. Wont take your face off with heat but thats probably a good thing. Add some naga if you want that.

I ordered these dried chipotles yesterday (along with some chipotle meco chilli powder) and was very pleased to arrive home today and find them delivered. This is my second order from COTW and I am just as pleased this time around. The items were packaged well and so not damaged, and I also was sent a free small bag of mexican oregano. I was surprised at just how many dried chillies I received, especially after seeing them on sale in supermarkets at £1.99 for about three dried chillies. 50g worth is A LOT it turns out, and very good value. I'm looking forward to cooking with these, and will definitely return to COTW in the future to stock up again!

The delivery of the package didn't take long in post, I was a bit surprised though the chillies had been sent recorded delivery. The chillies themselves are a bit hotter than I thought they would be, even though the chipotle chillies are in the medium hot range. Good flavour and be a bit careful how much you put in.

As soon as you open the pack you get a delicious smoke aroma. The chillies are quite meaty and thick, not too dried out, and they rehydrate beautifully especially if you slit them open. Great for authentic chilli!

These arrived quickly and it’s quite a large bag. Fantastic aroma and taste! Smokey and spicy! So pleased I found these. Perfect for my Mexican dishes and homemade chilli !! Really good quality product.

I really appreciated these, and having lived in the US with easy access to these and other Mexican peppers, these were a decently fresh, good quality chili, that are really hard to come by here in the UK. They cooked up nicely and helped me make some of my favorite mexican dishes.
