So I caved in and ordered this right before the big snowstorm that passed through, and let me tell you, this is probably the best purchase I've made in a while. I don't even need to turn up the temperature on it or adjust the timing - by default, I let it run on the lowest power setting, and after 8 hours it shuts off. I simply lay it on top of all my other covers and it helps keep the heat in. The blanket itself is soft, light, and machine washable too. I have a queen-sized bed, so originally I was going to get a queen sized blanket, but opted for a twin size blanket instead. Really I just needed something to lay over the top of my bedding, and not actually tuck into the bed itself. It's wide enough to cover the bed itself, and more than long enough to drape down the foot of the bed. I'm glad I went a size down; a queen-sized blanket would have been overkill for me. All in all, definitely worth the price for this and future winters.

Uses around 100W of power at max setting. In fact, most settings draw about the same and there are not very big differences in them. I was initially disappointed in the heat output of the blanket at first like some others. It's been decades since I've owned an electric blanket so regulations have obviously changed. My guess is that most other blankets produce the same amount of heat by regulation alone. I can tell you it absolutely hasn't been a problem. I sandwich the blanket between a similar sherpa blanket and a merino wool blanket, followed by a comforter. Beneath me, is another sherpa blanket. This is so the electric blanket isn't making direct contact with the skin on my body and allows me to wash it much less frequently if at all during the winter. I use it primarily to pre-warm my bed, which sits next to an open window in the dead of winter (I close it when I sleep). Between the sherpa blankets and the electric on top, the heat easily makes its way through and fully warms the entire bed. Despite my initial disappointment, I usually can't make it 2 hours without having to turn it off, so I usually set the timer to 2-3 hours instead of 8 on the setting of 6. I am a cold sleeper (need a lot of warmth) and while I could get by without this, this is just so much better on top of the sherpa sandwich I get into at night, especially for my feet. I have tried just a heating pad before but those tend to bunch up under the blankets over just a few days. The twin size fits well and has decent overhang. I have not had to wash it yet. The texture on its own is very warm and comfortable.

I had a bad flu and the chills were awful! I ordered this blanket and it arrived as I was just getting better, I didn't get to use it much but then winter came and this was the only blanket I had on alllll winter. It washes well (air dry it), it's soft and comfortable, the heating wires haven't died anywhere and still works, and I appreciate how warm it stays and insulates. I got COVID-19 a few weeks after buying this blanket and lord it was a lifesaver. I got the worse chills, but this blanket got me through it. Sometimes even when my back aches I cover my back with the blanket and it doubles up as a heating pad! I've had a few other heating blankets but they never survive a full year, this is the first blanket that is actually holding up pretty good and I've had it consistently on daily for the past half year or so. It's still running great.

The discription says flannel on one side, I got plush. :P Not loving this.

Bought this for my husband who’s always cold. I thought he probably wouldn’t like it. He LOVES it! Says it’s the best blanket ever. It’s super soft and light and he can use the heat whenever he wants!

Blanket is nice and soft, heats evenly. What is a big minus for me and why am I giving 3 starts is the timer. Shortest time setting is 1 hour which is too long for me and I get too hot while ready to fall asleep. Instead of 7h and 8h option I would welcome 20min, 30 min.

Ok the material is way to thin , I have lack of feeling to my feet and I can’t tell because it’s so light if it’s on my feet or not ! Also on setting one it’s so hot I cook in it and I mean cook any electric blanket I’ve had before that would be top setting or maybe 2nd from top ! Why do manufacturers have to make things crappier and crappier with sales tax it was almost $100 bucks that a lot for something I want to replace with better quality after 3 days , I can stand the crap Amazon is selling these days !!! Should pay me to use this nasty thing Dec / 26 / 2025
