Perfect for Fleet Tracking! Samsung SmartTag2 Maximizes Efficiency & Family Time on the Road
Iโm really pleased with this Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 Bluetooth tracker! I use it to track our company vehicles, and it has made a big difference in how I manage my time on the road. It helps me stay efficient during driver meetups and shift changes by letting me follow the tag right from my Samsung phone. The setup was simple and it connects reliably every time. The tracking is accurate, with good range and clear directions in the app that help me locate vehicles quickly. Battery life has been strong, and the compact, sturdy design holds up well in a work environment. I feel a real sense of contentment knowing I can maximize time with my family while keeping company equipment moving and productive. This SmartTag2 brings peace of mind and practical efficiency to my daily operations. Itโs a smart investment that delivers exactly what I needed. Highly recommend for anyone tracking vehicles, keys, or important gear! I've already bought more. I'd post pictures but they're all tucked away and out of sight.

Worry no more!
The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 is a modern tracking device designed to help you keep track of your belongings. Hereโs a detailed review highlighting its features, benefits, and some potential drawbacks: Features: Bluetooth Tracking: Precision Tracking: The SmartTag2 uses Bluetooth technology to help you locate your items within a specified range. This range is typically up to 120 meters (about 394 feet) under ideal conditions. Find My Mobile Integration: It integrates with Samsung's Find My Mobile app, allowing for easy tracking and management of the tag. Design and Build: Compact and Durable: The SmartTag2 is small, lightweight, and designed to be durable. It can easily be attached to keyrings, bags, or other items. Design Options: It typically comes in various colors and styles, making it versatile and customizable to suit personal preferences. Battery Life: Long-Lasting Battery: The device often boasts an impressive battery life, lasting up to several months on a single charge, depending on usage and environmental conditions. Enhanced Features: UWB Technology: Some models incorporate Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology for more precise location tracking. This feature can improve the accuracy of locating items within a close range. Smart Features: The tag can be used for various smart home integrations, such as controlling smart devices with customizable buttons. Sound Alerts: Audible Alerts: If youโre within range, you can make the SmartTag2 emit a sound to help you locate it more easily. Community Find: Galaxy Ecosystem: If the SmartTag2 is out of range, it can leverage the Galaxy network of devices to help locate it. This means other Samsung devices can anonymously report the location of your SmartTag2. Pros: Easy to Use: The setup process is straightforward, especially for users within the Samsung ecosystem. Integration with the Find My Mobile app is smooth and user-friendly. Effective Tracking: The device generally offers reliable tracking capabilities, with the UWB technology providing an extra layer of precision. Long Battery Life: The extended battery life reduces the frequency of recharges or battery changes. Durability: Its compact and durable design makes it suitable for everyday use and capable of withstanding some rough handling. Community Assistance: The ability to leverage the Galaxy ecosystem for tracking can be highly beneficial if your item is lost out of range. Cons: Compatibility: Primarily designed for Samsung devices, which means users with non-Samsung smartphones might experience limited functionality or integration issues. Range Limitation: While effective within its Bluetooth range, the SmartTag2 may not be as effective for locating items over longer distances. Price: Depending on the region and retailer, it might be slightly more expensive compared to other similar Bluetooth trackers on the market. Privacy Concerns: As with any tracking device, there could be privacy concerns about the tracking and sharing of location data, though Samsung implements various security measures. Summary: The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 is a versatile and effective tracking device, particularly well-suited for users within the Samsung ecosystem. Its combination of Bluetooth and UWB technologies, along with the long battery life and smart features, makes it a valuable tool for keeping track of personal belongings. While it is highly functional, its primary compatibility with Samsung devices and potential cost are considerations to keep in mind.

Perfect for travel
Only slightly off location wise but otherwise great to have especially when traveling. Easy to carry around on person as well as in bags. Works immediately out of box once you pull the tab. I've had it for several months and the battery life is solid. Easily connects to Samsung device with a neat ability to make it sound out a chime. Tracks routes as well as location.

They work well!
I was sceptible at first but now I'm a believer. Theyre great for finding items close by but recently it was put to a real test. We recently traveled from Singapore to Amsterdam via Dubai and checked our bags through. When we arrived in Amsterdam it looked like my bag didn't make the trip in that everybody else - including my wife- had claimed their bags. I remembered that I had put a tag in my suitcase so I did a "find". I really didn't expect any useful results but to my surprise it indicated my suitcase was at the Amsterdam airport. A few minutes later my lonely bag showed up on the belt. I would have rated 5 stars, but one of the four in the pack didn't work/pair and I didn't realize until after the return window closed. I guess Samsung would replace, but I'm sure the process to pursue that wouldn't be worth the efort and I wouldn't know how or where to start.

Good training tool.
We got this for our new dog. It isn't easy to set up. I had to ask AI for help and to share with the rest of my family members. Last night she got out and I was trying to find her and apparently she was too far away to be found. Thankfully I had My phone number on her tags so a neighbor called but honestly she was maybe 100 or 200 ft away from my house and it couldn't locate her. And that little ringer button--well it has been helpful when she is in my yard because it scares her and she comes running to me when I push it it was gone during the time of her disappearance so The Smart tag was useless. I wonder if there's another kind that I can use for a dog. It's making me actually wish that I had an iPhone so that I could use The one that's meant for dogs. Maybe that would work better, but I don't want an iPhone. I'm really not happy with this device and it's larger than the one that goes with the iPhone which is kind of big for a little dog's collar. The app is not intuitive at all. I wish Samsung would make the app more easy to navigate. If anybody has any suggestions on a better smart tag that works with a Samsung Galaxy please let me know.

Updated review
June 2025-Just got this tag for my 9lb cat, Loki. So far it's perfect. I did have a little trouble setting it up bc I had no idea what I was doing but I youtubed it & got it set up. I can not tell you how happy I am with my purchase so far. Loki is 1 of 3 cats, she is the youngest & the only escape artist. I have tried "cat proofing" my fence but she finds the points which I'm trying to fix. In the meantime, she has a pink collar with reflective strip & a bell. She now also has this tracker. Even when she doesn't escape, I sometimes can't find her at night bc she's dark gray & small so she can hide under plants or objects ๐ i also LOVE that you can play a tune to help find the item. Right now I'm so happy with this purchase. 6/7/25 this is great for finding something however I had to purchase Tractive for my escape artist, Loki. She jumps the fence & I need exact GPS location & instant notification that she's left the safe zone. Tractive covers that. SmartTag 2 still helps bc sometimes it's hard to find Loki in the yard, especially at night. 6/16/25 I've definitely decided to keep both the tractive tracker & the smarttag2 on Loki's collar. My 3 cats are allowed in the backyard & the older 2 stay in the backyard; have only left once or twice (my male left twice) then never again. Loki is dark gray & small. We have lots of plants that she can hide under & at night it's really difficult to find her. Thats where the Smarttag2 comes in very handy! Tractive tells me she's in the safe zone but the smarttag helps me locate her. Both help me a lot. Happy with both purchases. Update Aug 30, 25- it won't connect no matter what i do. I've tried factory reset as well. 3 months for $20 not worth it. Battery is still good. Will try a few more times & will update. Sept 9, 25- RESTART YOUR PHONE IF ITS PAIRING BUT NOT CONNECTING. Fixed all the problems ๐

Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2
The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 is a great product and has been very useful. Itโs compact, easy to set up, and gives me peace of mind knowing I can keep track of my belongings. The tracking features work well, and the battery life is a major plus. The design is also small enough to attach to keys, bags, luggage, or other important items without being bulky. Overall, Iโm very happy with the SmartTag2. Itโs reliable, convenient, and a great accessory for Samsung Galaxy users. Definitely worth having if you want an easy way to keep track of your belongings.

Not Samsung's Best
I bought a handful of tags to track keys, and potentially luggage and animals during an upcoming trip. I got the tags set up on my SmartThings, and I can see them all at my address, but as soon as one leaves without me... ? It's basically gone. I can't see where it is, unless by some miracle it decides to update. All the app says is "Not near you." Very helpful. (I just waited 4 hours for a tag's location to update. Surely, it must have encountered the "Galaxy network" at least once on a 4 hr roadtrip.) I figured this had to be user error, so I consulted ChatGPT for a little tutorial. Every time ChatGPT says "tap this" or "tap that," I don't ever see that option. ChatGPT replies "Oh, sometimes its in a different spot." Why? Why are the apps and set up processes so different for a limited and specific group of users? I also thought I'd be able to share the tag's location with family, but Im just learning that isn't a thing either. It says you can invite "members" and they can view and control the tag as long as they've also downloaded the app and have their location on. I thought I would be able to use this as a panic button of sorts and it would send family my location, but it doesn't do that. The best you can do is set it up to send someone a text to open their app and navigate to the right tab and view your location, but even after all those hoops were jumped, it remains to be seen. ChatGPT confirms its really just for one owner to track items should very specific criteria be met, like the tag cannot be in a piece of luggage (there goes that selling point) or in a glovebox or backpack. It seems the best way to get an update is to have the person who took the tag press the button. But, what if my keys or bag were stolen? I have to ask the thief to press the button? I was going to put these on my dogs while I'm out of town, but I'm pretty certain they won't be pressing any buttons to let me know where they are. The SmartThings app is probably the least intuitive app I've ever downloaded. It should come with instructions or a tutorial or something. But I figure if me AND ChatGPT can't figure it out then it must be pretty bad. And you can't use the trackers without the app, so... If you want to make confirm your keys, dog, car, etc., are in your house with you, then this is the tracker for you! If you are looking for something more robust and trackable outside your home or arms reach, then... well, I don't know. Get an iPhone and an air tag, I guess. I may have gotten these tags with too high of expectations, but these are getting 3 stars. The app is so poorly designed, the tag is really larger than it needs to be (50% is a ring that you can't clip anything to; yes, you need by a silicone cover and carabiner ring), and the network appears to not be very dense and therefore the tag not reliably trackable. It does seems to have a lot of functionality for working with other smart devices, but I don't need a remote to turn on my bathroom lights. If you do, or you just want to find your lost keys nearby, then this is an inexpensive gadget, if you're able to get a tag on sale. I'll update if I'm able to make the tag more useful and/or discover user error. If the app improves at all, that would be stellar. UPDATE: โข I was told there was no way to add more than one pet profile to the Pet Care feature, but I've discovered this is not correct. You can add multiple pet profiles and then register each profile to their dedicated tracker. Just press the button twice and you can start and stop tracking a walk. Wanted to log walks to apply to an AKC Fit title and now I can! โข The ringer on the tracker is also kind of quiet. I lost my keys under a sweatshirt and it was nearly unable to be heard. The noise was so soft, at first I couldn't hear it at all while in the same room. Once I was within a foot or two, I could hear a faint noise. โข Also, I've had one of the trackers activated for about 1.5 months and the battery says its at 46%. I guess I'll need to change the battery 3x a year or so on all of these?

Util e Indispensable.
No exige atenciรณn constante.

Love these!
The battery on them lasts a fair bit. I like their key hole compared to the older models. A must own item for travelling. Tip ๐ก I put them inside our luggage ๐ in case theyre misplaced to find them quickly. When i get to my destination i put it in the rental car and attach another to its key ๐.
