Strong and useful for Gelli printing. It’s not completely transparent as you might expect.

This is absolutely not wet strength, and I’m deducting one star for the fact that it was listed as such. I’m almost glad it was mislabeled however, because I wouldn’t have discovered it otherwise. Having said that, this tissue works beautifully for many mixed-media and collage applications. I bought it for use in a botanical gel printing course, and when compared with the Carnival brand wet strength tissue, I have to say this paper picked up far more detailed prints, almost photographic in quality (see photos), and was just as, if not more transparent than the Carnival brand when affixed to a surface with mat medium or glue. I had no issues pulling prints with acrylic paints, and this paper handled layers quite well. I was also able to apply this paper to a carrier sheet, which I then ran through both ink jet and laser printers, and it took both inks well, producing finely detailed images and text. Because it is so thin and light, it is a bit more fiddly to detail cut, and also a bit floaty when trying to glue it down. It does tend to tear more easily than the Carnival brand when gluing, but since it is thinner and more transparent, those little tears just disappear. I can see why it wouldn’t work as well for really wet, many-layered gel prints, and would likely be a problem if one were using alcohol inks or spray inks on the gel plate. Considering the price point however, if you’re looking for a thin, transparent tissue for collage and mixed-media work, this is certainly worth considering, and I will re-buy.

I use this in art work, printing or painting on it and collaging it into my paintings. It’s good quality, transluscent and surprisingly strong. Will buy again.

So much paper for not that much money. Works great for my geli prints.

Of the three wet strength tissue papers I've bought, this has the best transparency. Even over black paint. It will wrinkle on the gel plate if you let it sit, but I still recommend this paper for collage.

Should have known by the price that this tissue is not true wet strength tissue. While it is more resistant to tears then standard tissue, it does rip without much effort dry and especially when wet. It’s a good deal if you don’t need true wet strength though if using on collages or projects that require heavy medium use or water this may not be a good choice.

This wet strength tissue paper is great for Gelli printing. Came within the delivery date. The supplier answered a question I had promptly. They were good to deal with.

Surprisingly strong, it works very well with gel printing especially if you print a lot of botanicals or use stencils and want to make sure you'll get all the details. The sheets are very large so you can get a lot of milage per sheet.

This product arrived quickly. It was very neatly packaged to protect the paper. I wanted wet strength tissue to make prints from a gelli plate to use as collage papers. I did mange to use it on the gelli plate but it was more delicate that I have used before when purchasing Wet strength tissue.
