Is this the best infrared camera to detect blood vessels in the human face? Can this safely be pointed at a humans face?

Thank you so much for your interest in our products. This is an application that is being researched. Unfortunately, this is not possible with the E8. It is completely safe to point our cameras to a human face. However, the internal temperature emitted by the body make imposible to see the blood vessels. This could be possible using a camera with greater temperature sensivity.

I perform pool leak detection. If I pressure test a pipe, can I see a water/temperature difference over concrete? (2-3 ft under slab)

No, you cannot detect leaks under 2 ft of concrete

Can this be used to detect termites in wall floors and attics?

Great Tool for Leak Detection Once You Learn How to Use It

I use the FLIR E5 primarily for water leak detection in residential plumbing. Like most thermal imagers, there is definitely a learning curve and it took me some time to learn how to use it systematically and interpret the images correctly. Once you understand how temperature differences show up in materials, it becomes an extremely useful diagnostic tool.This camera has helped me locate hidden leaks without unnecessarily opening walls or ceilings, which saves a lot of time and prevents a lot of disruption for my customers. It allows me to narrow down the problem area before making any cuts, which makes repairs much more precise.Overall, it’s been a valuable addition to my toolkit and a great asset for non-invasive diagnostics.

Keine Möglichkeit, Dateien auf einen Mac zu übertragen!

In der Anleitung kann man lesen, wie einfach man die erstellten Wärmebilder auf seinen Computer laden kann: Einfach via USB-Kabel verbinden und Bilder per Drag & Drop auf den Rechner ziehen.Denkste!Verbindet man die Kamera mit einem Apple Mac, dann passiert gar nichts. Es erscheint kein zusätzliches Laufwerk auf dem Desktop wie bei anderen Cameras oder USB-Sticks. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit, die Dateien auf den Rechner zu ziehen. Der Flir-Support hat mir einen Link geschickt, wo man angeblich eine Android File Transfer-App laden könnte. Mal abgesehen davon, dass es eine absolute Frechheit ist, dass sowas Simples nicht einfach so funktioniert, landete dieser Link lediglich im Nirvana!!!Auf diese Art von Support kann man verzichten. Ich teste noch ein wenig und schaue mal, ob die noch eine andere Lösung haben - wenn nicht geht die FLIR E5 PRO postwendend zurück. Keine Empfehlung!

Disappointed with DOA Unit.

Out of the box it looked great but the thermal imaging sensor was DOA. For such an expensive tool, it's disgusting that it arrived DOA. It went back for a complete refund. Disappointed in my first experience with Flir.

These other cameras that cost 1/10th the price are just toys. Horribly inaccurate and borderline useless. Stick with the real deal. It's worth it if you use such a camera at least once a week.
