What an amazing concept. I didn't know something like this existed until my husband got me one for my birthday several years ago. Every night I would have to get out of my bed to turn off the lamp I used for reading. It was just high enough that I couldn't reach it. Honestly, despite it's simplicity it's actually one of the best and most gifts I ever received. I've since purchased one for another room and now I'm back to purchase one for my 93 year old dad. I know my dad is going to get a kick out of this and absolutely love it! The remote is small and wireless, The plug in unit is small and not obtrusive at all. The product is super easy to use, just plug it into the wall, plug you lamp into the plug and you are ready to go. What a fabulous little gizmo at such an affordable price, I highly recommend it!!!

Easy to Use Switch for a hard to twist/bad Lamp Switch
If you just need one for a floor/table lamp with a hard to twist switch, this thing is awesome. They also have a 3-lamp option, which I also bought to operate 3-lamps (from one place at the bar) in my pool table room. You have a key-chain attached, so you could have a house key on it, and then operate different lamps as you enter/walk-thru house.
