Unit appears to be of good quality and strong enough, but see if you can borrow one or a similar transfer board to try before buying. The patient has to have some mobility to be able to use one successfully. We had to give up after a few attempts, even when assisted by a nursing aide.

This board is durable and very helpful for transferring my mother from one location to another location within her home.,

My parplegic preteen son can now self-transfer using this slide board. He had lost most of his strength after spinal fusion bed rest while also going through the typical growth spurt for his age. This slide board works perfect for all situations. I wasn't sure about the curve, but it's proved to be just right for different equipment and furniture situations. It's also easy to carry along with us, and I was able to write our contact info on the back between the ridges incase we forget it somewhere such as a doctor appointment (again, lol). It's incredibly strong - I've tried it, and I don't see him outgrowing it. The smooth surface is not getting scratched up from use, either. I highly recommend this slide board!

Great quality

Very sturdy, great size. I had to return it because my mother who has Parkinson's was unable to adjust to it due to her limited mobility. Plus she has short girl problems, and could not reach floor to assist with the transfer

É muito útil pra quem ainda tem alguma mobilidade. Pra mim foi espetacular, viajei levando ela e foi muito útil principalmente ao entrar e sair de carro. O material dela é espetacular, fixa bem nas cadeiras por exemplo e na parte superior é lisa o que facilita o movimento de deslocamento. Chegou com 1 dia de atraso do previsto.
