I have 4 different sets of these and they are all great and different types of colours. I have tried multiple different sets from other manufacturers around the same price but now I only order ohuhu sets. Great colours and look great on paper with no dried up missed bits etc. Excellent for outlines and keeping in lines with 2 differnt sizes. Please don't change how you make the pens 🙂

These are lovely pens to colour with. As an adult who enjoys colouring books for therapy, I find the brush tips give a good finish and the colour range is great. The inclusion of cards to add a sample of the colours is really useful as the printed sheet isn't accurate enough. The spare tips are a useful addition too. I definitely recommend these water based pens and I'm sure I will be buying some alcohol markers of the same brand in the future.

These need to be used on watercolour paper. Then they will be blendable and able to achieve streak free finish. Regular colouring book paper starts pilling if you try to colour the traditional “back and forth” way. On thin paper, you have to colour line by line to avoid pilling and apply 3 cross hatched and diagonal layers to minimise streaking. I mean, it’s not a fault of the pens, I do not deduct stars for this because it’s nature of water based pens. I am saying this only so people know what to expect. I am attaching a photo of 3 layers on a regular printer paper. What I did not like was colour selection, quality of nibs and caps not matching. Swatch sheet is an absolute must! There is lack of warm vs cool browns and greys. You can buy more brown through skintone set but there’s no way to expand the greys. Considering that these are aimed at artists in a way, larger selection of greys is a must. And lastly, several nibs arrived already frayed. There are 5 replacement nibs included which is nice but I rather my pens were in good condition from the start. What I did like was the case. Caps on one ends are thinner than on the other end which helps to slot the pen back into the case easier. No weird odours, like you get with cheap Chinese sets and you get a massive amount of pens for the price. It really is a good value set.

The pens that worked were great, a good variety of colours, smooth to use and solid colour. Unfortunately a number of the pens were completely dry. Overall disappointed.

I really like this kit. Pros: Great color selection. I've color swatched every pen. I can see where some say that some pens are repeat colors. The company provides a small swatch paper. IF you do not overlap your strokes, then you can see that there are subtle differences which is very handy when it comes to doing nature images. The pens are double ended. The brush side has a nearly natural feel to brush action. The 'fine' tip is good for it's purpose The carry case is good and the folding inside sections are handy. Cons: The company provided color swatch is not accurate to pens. Be careful with closing the pens. They may seem 'closed' when in fact they are not. Listen for a audible 'click' of the cap snapping into place. NOW it's shut. Without a good seal, they will dry out. Also when taking the caps off, they may splatter. So, certainly do NOT open it over the piece you are working on. (it will also splatter on your shirt and hands. so wear an old shirt or artist smoak.) The fine tips have a tendency on first contact to the paper to drop a LOT of ink at the initial contact. Touch the tip to some paper before you touch it to the art you are working on and it solves the problem. In the end, this kit is well worth the money. Get it and enjoy it.
