I was in 2 minds whether to get this or the i9 14900k.. Seeing at the small increase in performance between the 2 I stuck with the i7 14700kf Not a bad price too at £380 at the time of purchase. Cant fault this processor. Performs great along with my RTX 4800 so I now have super smooth games at 2k at ultra settings. So many cores. 20 In total obviously 8 cores are the performance cores. with the other 12 being efficient cores. So makes a huge difference with video editing and intensive apps that utilise cores and multi threading Big power draw at 250w.. wow ! but to be expected as the amount of power these CPUs are capable of. I purchased the KF version as i have no need for any onboard graphics the intel integrated GPU on the K version is so weak anyway just not worth the extra cash for it. I had to update my bios as the processor would not even boot. So remember this before getting rid of your old 13th Gen processor, you require the latest bios for 14th Gen Very happy with purchase. My temps are 32c when idle (room temp is 22c) and 90c at max chuff (I have a corsair water cooler setup - that kept my 13700k at 75c when at max chuff) Power draw was around 270w for my pc when stress testing on CPUZ and at idle speeds when web browsing and light usage power was around 40w Would highly recommend Pros Fast • Great Value For Money • Reliable • boxed retail version Cons • Large power consumption • Runs HOT at full power • No Onboard GPU • Expensive for some • requires latest bios

First Point: - Update Motherboard BIOS to be compatible with 14th Intel Cores, otherwise most motherboards will not recognise the CPU. This is a simple process and there are plenty of intuitive tutorials on YouTube. The 14700KF has provided me unmatched and consistent perfect performance since the moment it was installed. Finally freeing my 80 series NVIDIA GPU from being CPU bottlenecked, it is outstanding value for high end gamers, allowing me to play in 4K Ultra + Raytracing consistently excellent FPS, while effortlessly and simultaneously running 30 Microsoft Edge processes in the background using 2GB of RAM. It has the speed to handle DDR5 RAM in a manner that drastically improves performance of my game, especially when my GPU uses virtual memory (RAM used when GPU VRAM is exhausted), which makes older RTX cards like the 2080 Ti more equipped to handle Ultra 4k with Ray Tracing and DLSS. Thermal resilience is astonishingly impressive too. When first installed, an incomplete cooler wire connection in my setup rendered the CPU barely cooled for an hour as it reinstalled Windows, heating up unmoving coolant in my AIO setup. When it did eventually reach dangerous temperatures, it turned off automatically, then again immediately when I - confused - turned it back on again for a moment. Despite being uncooled for so long and eventually reaching 95+ degrees, the CPU was totally undamaged, passing multiple full-detail stress assessments perfectly as if it had just been turned on a moment ago. Able to handle 4K Gaming, any number of traditionally demanding normal-use tasks, background tasks and large database VBA passive macros while manipulating loads of data and references, SIMULTANEOUSLY and EFFORTLESSLY, while exhibiting extraordinary thermal resistant properties at a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend.

Fast delivery and performance is great. It was the cheapest listing I found and hasn’t disappointed on power. The temperate spikes were an issue, some research showed undervolting is a necessity when not using a water cooler. Doing this didn’t affect my performance but made the CPU run much cooler and safer.

This cpu has a reputation for overheating, at least at launch. A number of fixes have been released since. If you are thinking about getting one for gaming make sure you have a good cooling system in your PC case. And remember some games will drive your system insane regardless, it’s just the way they are programmed. Otherwise no issues with my CPU at the time of writing.

A very quick CPU that easily handles any task you throw at it, I upgraded from an i5 11600K and I'm glad I did the performance improvement would be hard to miss.

Very good chip gets hot so I unbolted and works like a dream about twice as fast as my old i5 13500

0x12F (12F in hardware info) ^See that code? Make sure your Motherboard BIOS has that microcode for your CPU. It's the microcode that has the Vmin SHIFT instability fix. You NEED the BIOS version that has that microcode instruction. If not, your CPU will not last long. Also, be VERY CAREFUL buying any used 13th/14th Gen Intel CPU. As it's not readily apparent if the CPU sold to you has degraded. Keep ALL receipts. On to the product itself; This thing is a productivity monster. Cooling it can be a bit of a problem, but even without overclocking this CPU performs spectacularly right out of the box. I recommend this CPU over the rest of 14th gen intel to be honest with you. i9 runs too hot and generally not worth it. This cpu hits the sweetspot for performance and cooling. I recommend a good tower cooler like Noctua or Thermalright to cool this CPU properly. Anything under that will just not work well enough. On the AIO side, a 240mm can work, but a 360mm is recommended. I use this for Video Rendering and Gaming, and it crushes it on both of those tasks.

I've purchased two of these but one factory-sealed box contained an i5-12600K instead of an i7-14700KF (wtf?). Their motto is "Intel Inside", but you better make sure the RIGHT Intel is inside! Other than that, Intel processors are great, purchasing/shipping was great and Amazon is absolutely amazing with returns. I'm ordering a new one to replace this one. I notice Amazon shows these as frequently returned, this must be one of the reasons. 2026-04-04 Update: Received my replacement i7-14700KF and it's working great at full power running Folding@Home with a Noctua heat sink.

Core i7-14700KFは、使い始めから「速い」と感じられるCPUです。ゲーム、配信、動画編集、重めの作業を並行しても余裕があり、CPU側で詰まっている感覚がかなり少なくなりました。 一方で、気軽に載せて終わりのCPUではありません。14世代Coreまわりの不安定性問題もあり、マザーボードのBIOS更新や電力設定はかなり気にする必要があります。古いBIOSやマザーボード任せの盛り気味設定で使うより、最新BIOSに更新して、Intel標準寄りの設定で安定させる前提で考えた方が良いです。 発熱もかなり強いです。冷却が弱いと性能を出し切る前に温度が先に来ます。大型空冷や簡易水冷、ケース内エアフロー、電力制限など、きちんと面倒を見る必要があります。ここを雑にすると、このCPUの良さより扱いにくさの方が先に出ると思います。 ただ、その面倒な部分を越えると一気に景色が変わります。 ゲーム中の余裕、裏で作業を走らせても崩れにくい安定感、重い処理を押し切る力はかなり魅力的です。扱い切れたときにしか見えない頂きがあるCPUだと感じました。 万人向けの扱いやすいCPUではありません。 BIOS更新、冷却、電力設定を自分で見られる人向けです。 そこを楽しめる人には、かなり満足度の高い一枚です。 手間はかかりますが、その手間に応えてくれるだけの性能があります。

معالج جدا جدا قوي وسريع بس ضروووري تركب عليه مبرد مائي لأن قوته تنتج حرارة عاليه، ولااازم تعدل في اعدادات المعالج من البيوس اذا كان المذربورد عندك يدعم ذلك وتحدد الطاقه الفعليه اللي يحتاجها لان المذربورد يعطي طاقه اعلى مما يحتاجه المعالج فترتفع درجه حرارته بدون فائده. معالج ممتاز جدا

Ich benutze den Intel Core i7-14700KF jetzt seit einiger Zeit und bin wirklich extrem zufrieden mit der Leistung. Egal ob Gaming, Multitasking, Streaming, Videos bearbeiten oder mehrere Programme gleichzeitig offen haben, die CPU bleibt schnell und reagiert sofort ohne irgendwelche Probleme. Besonders in modernen Games merkt man die starke Performance deutlich, vor allem zusammen mit einer guten Grafikkarte. Auch bei anspruchsvolleren Aufgaben läuft alles sehr flüssig und stabil. Programme starten schnell, Ladezeiten sind kurz und selbst unter höherer Auslastung fühlt sich das System immer noch sehr responsiv an. Für Leute die ihren PC nicht nur fürs Gaming, sondern auch für Arbeit oder kreative Anwendungen nutzen, ist der Prozessor meiner Meinung nach wirklich eine sehr gute Wahl. Wichtig ist einfach eine gute Kühlung zu haben, da die CPU unter Last schon warm werden kann. Mit einer starken AIO oder einem guten Luftkühler hat man die Temperaturen aber gut unter Kontrolle. Insgesamt bin ich mit dem Kauf absolut zufrieden und würde den i7-14700KF definitiv wieder kaufen
