I-Cord Knitter Machine-

This is brilliant. Delivered 10 minutes ago, straight out the box, made the cord shown in the photo and that's with limited sewing/knitting skills! Highly pleased. Sturdily built. Do use the supplied weight and don't have the feeding yarn tension too tight as this affects performance. I'll be using this to add cords to my knitted projects, like bags, etc. I would say it's a bit pricey for what it is but as it works straight away with high quality, I guess it's value for money.

As another reviewer said - this is the one, you don't need to try any others to get perfect icord. Worked right out of the box (getting the hang of starting off took me 2 or 3 goes but once I did it was pretty easy) It won't handle much heavier than double knit and I found i got the best results with the less fluffy 'shiny' synthetic DK's (like Divante yarn at The Range) My only complaint is that I haven't been able to identify any way to replace the latch hooks if one were to break which given the machine cost, seems unreasonable.

This is a sturdy little machine. It is a little fiddly to use to start with but easy once it has been done once or twice. It knits a cord very quickly and neatly though won't knit with anything thicker than dk. I would definitely recommend this product, the time it saves certainly makes up for the cost. It might be a bit more than some, but it feels good quality and long lasting.

Works well and has made making icord for projects much faster. A few teething issues getting it to work right but once figured out its effortless and easy. First test it took maybe 5-10 minutes to cord up an entire regular size skien of wool which normally would have taken an hour or more to do my hand. So long as you remember to adjust the weight up when needed you can easily turn and forget about it as your winding it. Good value for money and a sturdy product

I used it the first month, made a cord or two and left it packaged up in my cupboard. Come to find after a couple months it just won't work anymore. The hooks don't react at all, they seem to have just unattached themselves to the rotator so nothing happens when I wind it up

After buying and trying a couple of this type of gadget from amazon I came across this one and thought I would give it a go as it had some great reviews, I wanted something to make lettering on bobble hats, I almost gave up and thought about buying the old french knitter that we used to have as children but that would have been too time consuming, this on eBay took a while to arrive as it came from America but it was definitely worth the wait, it is so easy to use, the instructions are really clear and simple,, the quality is fantastic and it worked perfectly the first time I tried it, I got so excited with the quality of the cord that came out of it that I had to keep trying different wools and yarns, each one was perfect, I am absolutely thrilled with this little gadget.

If I didn't already own a Sentro-type circular knitting machine, I think it would have taken me much longer to figure this i-cord maker out. But once I did have it sorted, this little thing is awesome. Youtube helped get me started, but the video showed that the cord was started for a few rows before the bottom weight was put on. I tried this, and it made an unholy tangled mess. So then I put the weight on the tail from the beginning, and really ratcheted down the tension on the feeder yarn. It sounds like I'm about to break the thing for the first couple of rows but then it settles down and you can ease off the tension a little. Makes for a nice clean start to your cord. This was using Caron Simply Soft, and that's about as thick a yarn as I would go on this device (so Red Heart is a no-go). I'm keen to try it out with some sock- or fingering- weight yarn. I'm excited to add cording to my projects to make them look more finished and sturdy. It cost almost as much as my Sentro, but for practicality and useability, I can say that it definitely adds value to my makes.

Me parece mas práctico que las maquinas electricas a las que igual tienes que vigilar para mover el peso y darle la vuelta a la cuerda. He probado hilos de diferentes grosores y no me ha fallado, y aunque lo he forzado bastante resistió sin daños (sin embargo no recomiendo forzarlo). Lo recomiendo! Lo ultimo pero no lo de menos: es muy relajante hacer cuerdas con el. :)

Heel blij met dit product. In een workshop hier mee leren werken en dit apparaat is werkelijk fantastisch.
