Would it fit someone with waist size of 56?

Yes it will. It's pretty comfortable but the sleeves did want to fall down a lot and that kind of got annoying but it wasn't terrible.

I wore it and im a woman. 5'4 150 lbs. It was large on me but worked just fine.
