Do these stay dry inside whilst in the pool

I would not say they are fully waterproof but definitely do not get soaking wet. I find them really good.

What size do i need to order for age 10yrs?

My son is 8 and he is 4 foot seven with a 25 inch waist and the small fit him. It depends what size your son is

Would these be suitable to wear on your period without a tampon?

Surely if designed to catch incontinence it could catch blood?
