Is this the starter pack that comes with the litter scoop and 3 kg of wood pellets?

Yes, so you will need to order more bags of wood pellets.

Hi, do you have to use the part with holes in? i'm just needing a hooded high backed tray for a cat with elevator butt, so it won't leak! thanks!

Hi, Just em!No, it isn't a necessity to use the part with the holes, but saying that, this part is really what the tray is all about; it 'sieves' the used cat litter that becomes sawdust once your cat has pee'd on it, so the litter can last longer (as long as you remove the poo). So it might be better (and cheaper!) just to buy a large, covered litter tray.

Peewee ecohus: what is the width of this litter box, ie the measurement from side to to side where the door entry is? thank you

The widest part of the litter box is 14inches or 35.5 cm.

Looking at this for a britsh shorthair. is this large enough andnalso suitable from kitten to adult bsh cat.

It is easily large enough for my two 7kg BSH cats. But the lip at the front might be a bit of a leap for a kitten though you could put something in front temporarily as a step for the kitten. You won’t regret buying this litter box - it works brilliantly and is really well made.
