We have used similar items in the past, but this one is the Cadillac of vents! It slides easily to accommodate different sizes/lengths (most of ours are 4" x 12"), is thick, sturdy, excellent quality, with super grip magnets. The magnets are so strong, that it is almost impossible to get them off the metal floor vents! I like this because the former ones we had came off easily- if you nudged them at all, they went flying. These are not going anywhere! In fact, the magnets are so big and strong that if you try to lift straight up, the magnets will slide out of the plastic sleeve and still be on the metal. The easiest way to move or remove the unit is to slide them off the edge and then lift up. I really like the depth of the vents- they cover the entire vent and really redirect the air effectively- unlike the smaller ones from a local big box store that only covered half and did not redirect the air. We bought these during a really cold snap and noticed an immediate difference in the feel of the room and how often the heat would run. Would highly recommend these.

Very well made, crazy strong magnets. Our existing vents can only adjust a little. I was drawn to these because of the long wide deflection - the deflector looks like it covers about 5+ inches of the vent, not like the “little flap” deflectors. They are easy to put on and yank off so I can easily install just when my father in-law comes over (he can’t tolerate a cold breeze). The other one is more or less permanently installed in a bedroom. I’ll likely be buying another set.

We have an older home the vents are not like the standard modern ones. Being able to adjust the size was great. The magnets are really strong and take some pulling to adjust the position.

These are pretty good quality air deflectors. Unlike the last rickety ones I had that only covered 1/2 of the vent and the two pieces would not securely fasten together, these are deep enough that they actually cover the entire vent, plus some. The pieces fit securely together and the magnets are strong! I would only suggest, make sure when placing these that you do the size adjustments with it tilted back on the plastic, before placing the sides with the magnets down. Once the magnets are latched on, it is very hard to move these. I had a heck of a time pulling them up, and when I did one of the magnets came out of the slot. (The magnets are not glued in.) Then, trying to squarely slide a magnet back in the slot took me about 10 minutes of trying, not getting it quite square, trying to pry it back out because it was unevenly lodged, trying again... Seems like a simple thing to have to do, but it wasn't. If you need to move them, slide them, don't try to pull them up.

I selected these air deflectors for my bedroom vents as the airflow tends to blow the drapes outward and the heat ends up on the window instead of in the room. Using the sliding adjustment to the width, they fit on our standard floor vents perfectly. I like the clear material the deflectors are made of. You hardly notice them being over the vents. I also like the upward slope of the deflectors, which seems to direct the airflow higher than the usual curved deflectors. The magnets are extremely strong. I think those reviewers who say they’re weak must not have the type of metal vents that adhere to magnets. I actually had to use considerable force to reposition the deflector once the magnets touched the vent. Some 3M sticky pads are also included for those who need them. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Very easy to install. The magnets are very strong. No need for drilling or other modifications to the vent. Just slide to size and attach.

This is especially flimsy and it has absolutely no magnetic ability. I’ve read reviews of multiple other similar items and all seem to say the same thing that the magnets are inferior.. I kept this item and duct taped it in place and hoping it gets the job done. The price was right on these and I can’t imagine any other ones would do any different or better of a job. Since my vents are behind my couch, nobody can see what it looks like with all of the tape. As long as it diverts the airflow upward, I’ll be fine. It is expandable which I liked and I was able to tape it in place with no issue. The reason I ordered these is that the measurement seemed to be a little bit taller than most of the other ones. I thought that would be good for redirecting the airflow better.

These worked well for deflecting the vents above the beds. The have very strong magnets for metal vents or can be secured to other types of vents using included double sided tape. Would highly recommend these.
