Great for light items, thin & lids aren't tight but great value for what they are
I'm giving these a 5 star rating which is actually a 5 star rating with the caveat that you need to realize that you get what you pay for - - - these are fantastic if you only store light weight items in them, don't need a tight fitting lid, and don't need to move or carry them around from room to room. They are great for storage but I definitely would not recommend for toys or supplies that kids would be reaching for daily. If I had my kids' Lego's or art markers in them and my kids were pulling these bins off the shelf daily, the Lego's and markers would probably spend more time scattered on the floor than they would contained in the bins. These bins and lids are just not secure or sturdy enough to contend with anything other than careful handling. After a major renovation of our kitchen, pantry and laundry room, I was on a major re-organizing binge.I ordered 2 sets of these bins, and also ordered two sets of the identical, but tad smaller 6qt (12.9" deep) bins (also by IRIS).They are almost the same size (the 7qt are just about an inch longer) and they stack on each other well.I needed both sizes because not all of my cabinets are 14" deep. The 7qt bins are 13.75" deep and for 14" cabinets, they are perfect. If you have the cabinet depth, the 7qt makes more efficient use of every inch.Think about what you need these for, realize these are lightweight storage before ordering and you will be happy with them. These are very thin and flexible and tho the lids do sort of click on, as soon as you pick up or handle the bin, the Iid pops right off.I was previously using empty salad mix clamshell bins for storage and would double them up to give them more strength. One of these IRIS bins has about the same rigidity of a doubled clamshell bin.I'm using these in my pantry and laundry room to hold things like tea bags, coffee filters, sponges, plastic utensils, napkins, band aids/gauze squares. They're absolutely great for these kinds of items. I can reach for a bin with one hand, pull it out and not need to support the weight of it with my other hand.If heavier items were stored in these bins, you'd need to definitely use two hands rather than just grasp a side or end. They fact that they're thin also makes them great for using as drawer organizers bc they efficiently sit side by side without handles or thick rims taking up space. I'm using them without lids to corral Rubbermaid food storage lids, immersion blender and mixer/food processor attachments. In my experience so far, every order I've received came with cracked bins and/or lids. Outer shipping boxes were fine, but it seems that shipping damage is to be expected because they just aren't packed very well. The items are nicely nested in the packing box however there is no padding or protection around or between them. They are packed in 2 stacks side by side and all the cracks were on the inside corners where the two stacks butted up against each other. A simple sheet of foam between the two stacks may have prevented this damage.Of course Amazon was amazing in letting me return the one set, but that also meant I needed to order a replacement. For some reason, I was only given the option to return . . . not return and replace. I had to place a new order and (dang it) the price had gone up from my original Black Friday sale price.Overall, very happy with these. Know what to expect and you will be too.

Literally clear boxes
These are just clear boxes and they act like clear boxes so I can’t really complain. It comes with so many which is great! They are definitely not air tight and the lids come off easy so be aware of that! I used them with silica crystals to preserve my wedding bouquet and I wanted something inexpensive so these worked great! Also I was nervous about what size they were compared too- they are about the size of a cardboard shoe box!

6qt does NOT lock, the DESCRIPTION is WRONG when its described as locking lid
like other reviews have stated the 6.7qt is completely worthless if you need the lids to lock, that's probably why searched for plastic containers with locking lids. cause what's the point of a lid not locking into place? these just slide right off, you might be able to press hard enough at a 17 degree angle to get one side to lock but the minute you press the other side to lock it in place it becomes a exercise in futility. i have no idea how this company can still sell these containers while lying to customers.in fact there whole title is a lie "IRIS USA 7 Quarts Plastic Storage Container Bin with Latching Lid" there 6.7 qt not 7, but ok they rounded up. latching lid? cant get it to latch or lock on the lid no matter how much you try, its a deliberate design, or its a defective item and IRIS is unloading them on innocent amazon customers.either way i have no idea how amazon hasn't said something to the seller about it. cause at least i can count on amazon trying to do the right thing but IRIS is straight up stealing and being deceptive selling a product THAT does not do what its being sold as capable of doing. or they need to change the title to nonattachable / unlockable lids. at least that would be honest. now i know why there are so many negative reviews about the 6.7 qt containers. i immediately returned them. id prefer to burn my money then give it to deceptive product sellers.

Very cheaply made
I am giving these a 4 star only because you get so many for the price and you know they are an off brand to begin with. The problem with getting so many for the price is that they are so very cheaply made which is reasonable but you can get a few just a few dollars under this price same brand or you can get 12 for like 2$ more. And I through ok great I’ll just use the others for something else from the original purpose that I bought them for. But no.They are very thin plastic and a type of plastic that cracks very easily. They may as well not have given any lids with them because they do not attach in anyway shape or form on their own. You could probably tape them on but it’ll probably slide off due to not fitting very well. But for the project that I’m using them for since I don’t need lids and very fragile use they are fine. Just don’t expect them to come anywhere near close to a sterlite container cuz you will be very disappointed.

Nice storage option
I make quilts, these boxes are the perfect size to store jelly rolls, charm packs , and sort scraps by color. Definitely helped me get my sewing room in order.
User
Okay storage, bad lids
Boxes arrrived well packaged. The sides of the boxes are more squared than some other shoebox style totes, which is nice for stacking and capacity.Quality of the box plastic is thin, but adequate. The reason for 2 stars is the lids do not click on to seal at all, so they'll all have to be banded to stay closed, which is disappointing.
User
Cheap bins. Won't buy them again.
Cheap I guess you get what you pay for. Lids do NOT fit well. They kind of sit on top of the bottom. They do not snap. There was one bottom and one lid cracked.

Excellent Product
These storage cubes were exactly what I needed. The measurements were exacly correct and fit into the cube shelf as I required! They are translucent, so I can see what is inside without opening, and the lids are easy to snap on and off.

Sizeable Storage Containers
Awesome size storage containers. I’ve managed to store or my reusable gift bags this way it keeps them together and in good condition!

User
Poor quality
I had bought Iris storage boxes years ago and that is why I bought more. But the quality is not there anymore. They were very flimsy and the lids would not snap. I returned them.
