A Blast of Fun and Learning!
I purchased the Playz Mega Kaboom! 150+ Explosive Science Experiments Kit for my 8-year-old son, and it has been an absolute hit this summer! From the moment we opened the box, he was excited to dive into the experiments. The kit includes a wide variety of activities, from making balloon rockets to creating fizzy bombs, and each one is more engaging than the last. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, making it simple for both of us to participate together. The included lab guide provides step-by-step directions, and the 75 app and video-guided experiments add an interactive element that keeps my son engaged and eager to learn more. What I appreciate most is how this kit combines fun with education. My son is learning about chemical reactions, physics, and basic scientific principles, all while having a blast. It's the perfect balance of entertainment and learning, and I love seeing his curiosity and enthusiasm grow with each experiment. This kit has provided hours of entertainment and education, and I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a fun and educational activity for their child. It's a fantastic way to spark an interest in science and spend quality time together.

Pretty good basic science kit for younger kids whose parents aren't "science people"
I picked this science experiment kit for my 11 year old. If we were not a very scientific family, this would probably a very good kit. Here are the main issues: 1. Instructions: clear for each experiment, but the explanation is incorrect or from a previous experiment in many cases. 2. Materials provided: I thought we would get a lot of chemicals. Instead, there are a couple and some very basic, easy to obtain ones (but still... I have to go to the store) are missing. 3. It's called Kaboom so you would think there would be a lot of "explosions", but really, there are a couple and mostly just of the typical homemade volcano type. 4. Size: called "mega" but really not very big. When it says 158+ tools, it must include the individual craft sticks (popsicle sticks), balloons, food color, multiple "measuring" cups and other basic things you likely have at home. 5. Age recommendation: For 8 and over. Well, depends on your child. We did these experiments years ago when our son was younger. It is very colorful and has a lot to offer in many ways for young scientists. 6. Value for money: this is where it gets tricky for me. If I spend this much, I want a bunch of chemicals to perform real experiments. Do I think there are really 75 experiments? Nope. The box is a little deceiving. Overall- well, I guess if you have one child who is about 8 who is really into science and you aren't, this could be a great kit for them. If you are a science teacher (that's me), then this will probably be really boring and you more than likely will have done all these experiments with your kids already. But, if your kid(s) don't like science and you need to motivate them, this *could* help. Again, not the best "explanations" for how/why the experiments work, but very general so you can look up more info online if you don't know. Or have the kids do a pre or post lab report to explain what they saw, heard or smelled.

Buy it
Very cool kit comes complete with pretty much everything you need outside of a few basic house hold items (pepper, dish soap, water). Our house hold loves it tons of different experiments that get everyone in our house hold involved in an awesomely reactive bonding moment. Highly recommend
