CC Certified in Cybersecurity Study Guide (Sybex Study Guide)

I liked the examples that made it easy for a non specialist to understand. Plus the exam questions portion. Maybe more questions would have been great.

Quick read, focused and easy to understand. Follows exam objectives very well. Liked that an audio version was also available.

I read it really quickly, easy to understand, I didn’t have problems passing the certification using this and some online videos.

I purchased this book during a push challenge for my old team to get everyone ISC2 certified. I am not a big Certification kinda person and have been in the industry for over 20 years. With Sybex you know you are getting current information (as long as you are getting the current book version) and that it is relevant to the certification and to your career goals. After I passed my CC I let my team use the book one by one and everyone passed. Well worth the money.

Great resource to pass the CC test. The book was super easy to follow along. It wasn’t my only resource but using this along with the official ISC2 website and the practice tests that came along with the book helped me pass the test.

This was my primary core text and I passed the exam. The book is very succinct and highly targeted at foundational concepts. It enabled me to cover many more topics in shorter time frames compared to more voluminous texts. Corresponding simulated practice tests redeemed on Wiley (Sybex) website offer exam focused practice and revision. The questions are at the right level of difficulty to close gaps in knowledge, but expect a slightly more difficult exam. Supplementary review guides and additional practice test purchased at certmike.com were extremely helpful. The cost of the book offers real value for money by eliminating barriers to entry and facilitating access to the profession for those who might otherwise not have been able to enter it. The book can serve as a quick desk reference and also help non-IT professionals transition into cybersecurity. The author is a cybersecurity professor and a cybersecurity certification expert. You are in great hands for Certified in Cybersecurity and subsequent qualifications!!!

Best book to refer for CC exam

TLDR: Passed the exam first attempt. Supplement your study with additional materials. Solid practice exam. This book was my primary material to study for the exam. Keep in mind that the official exam questions are significantly harder, cover more topics and uses language to throw you off. Make sure to utilize the 100 practice questions included after registering your copy. You might require additional study materials and practice tests, if you are coming from a different background like myself. ISC2 online self study chapter and final tests were a great benchmark. This book, even though great, skims over some important material that you are expected to know. My suggestion is to learn more about additional topics like subject-object-rule relationship scenarios. Network protocols and their secure counterparts, and not only memorizing them, but understanding how and where they could be implemented and in what scenario. Networking hardware components and their utilization in a company.
