It can be hard to gauge the effects of supplements. I can't KNOW if this stuff has helped me, but I have a pretty strong feeling that it has. I have been taking this daily for quite some time, now, as a preventive measure. At 71 years old, I have no joint pain other than what was caused by a recent accident . The accident? A fall that occurred when a step near the top of a six-foot ladder gave way and I ended up sprawled on top of the now-shattered ladder and concrete floor. Left foot, ankle, and knee joints were stressed and painful, but no bones broke. At my age, I consider that a minor miracle. I could barely put weight on that leg for the first day, but I have noticed significant daily progress. Good genes? Maybe, but I suspect that my daily serving of this collagen helped in the healing process as well as preventing broken bones. (I also take vitamins D3 and K2 daily. I take a calcium supplement occasionally, satisfied that I usually get enough from food. I'm pretty sure that those contributed to positive outcomes, too.) So, I don't know if this product is good for pain relief, but in my case, I suspect that it has helped prevent it. As for how I take it, it's usually in my daily cool cup of coffee. It mixes well; I just pour the powder on top, watch it dissolve into the liquid and then give it a good stir. I have also often blended it into a smoothie. In any case, the flavor has been neutral. I have had no digestion issues or other side effects. I don't know about claims regarding its effect on energy, but it certainly hasn't hurt. For what it's worth, I intend to continue taking this supplement indefinitely.

I LOVE this product! I am a provider and recommended this product to all my patients. I like it even better than the more expensive stuff I can purchase, as a provider, through my favorite supplement company. This is BETTER and less expensive. I really like that it has no flavor and dissolves fully. It's so GOOD! I have been using this product every day for over 2 years now. My hair and nails are beautiful. If you're on the fence about ordering, go for it!

I started using collagen peptides recently for joint maintenance and repair. The verdict is still out as to whether or not it's going to make a difference for me. But I haven't been taking collagen for very long and I'm told it can take a while to notice the effects. When I started taking collagen, I was using a different brand (Garden of Life). It has types I and III collagen has a high protein profile per serving and is supposed to be flavorless. It is not. I found that the Garden of Life product didn't mix very well and if not diluted and/or mixed enough, would have a taste I didn't find agreeable at all. CONTRAST THIS WITH DOUBLE WOOD collagen peptides. First, it's cheaper per unit than the GOL brand. Granted you don't get as much per serving. But it mixes and dissolves into any liquid very, very well. The best part, no taste. It says it's flavorless...and it REALLY is. Lastly, it has not only TYPE I AND TYPE III collagen, but ALSO TYPE II, and that's the one which specifically targets joints. If you look around, you'll discover that many of the brands don't have type II collagen and this is probably the most important type to consume if you're looking for joint repair and maintenance. All these factors taken together mean that for me, DOUBLE WOOD COLLAGEN IS A SUPERIOR PRODUCT. I do not understand the negative reviews I saw claiming it doesn't mix well and tastes weird. My experience is totally the opposite of this. Mixes great. No taste. HAS TYPE II COLLAGEN. Perfect. 5 stars. Thank you Doublewood.

I’ve never used collagen before & this was recommended by someone I follow on Instagram. There is no taste, mixes well with hot coffee & I have not experienced an upset stomach. I also can’t say I’ve noticed much difference in my skin or hair. My nails seem to be stronger. I have been taking it for the last five months & will continue to do so for a while.

I wanted this collagen because it is pure Bovine. I cannot take marine collagen due to a rash I always get. Likely a fish allergy. But this stuff works well. Have been taking for a couple months now. Does great things for the hair, eyes and skin. I even went to visit a mechanics shop that I go to every few months, and the owner stopped and said...Wow, you look like you got younger. What did you do?! So I guess it's that good. HA! I am also using for internal tissue health like ligaments and wound healing. This is something I will be purchasing going forward as my go to collagen supplement. Don't forget to pair this with extra vitamin C!

The Double Wood Collagen has a good taste and I have seen some results so this is my second bottle I've ordered. My complaint is it had leaked through the box by the time I received it...if not for that, I would have given 4 stars.

I have purchased this item multiple times. I have recently lost a ton of weight due to medical issues, and have had sagging skin all over my body. It’s been awful!! I already used a collagen supplement, but wanted something powerful for baths that my skin could soak up from the outside - as our skin is our biggest organ I knew it needed help from the outside as well. I couldn’t find a lot of products that actually showed results in terms of bath help, but this was absolutely effective and amazing!! I saw many results almost instantly after adding it to my bath water. I add about a 1/4 of a cup, right before I get in. Being a nutritionist, I also believe and know you soak in what you put on your skin, and do believe it has helped additionally with my over all digestion. Our skin is an amazing organ, and things that are safe to ingest should be safe for our skin- if it’s not, you shouldn’t be ingesting it. I also appreciate the quality and the darker bottle to keep any light changes from happening to the collagen. I will keep buying. Thank you for helping me on this crazy weight loss/skin saggy journey. I still have a way to go, but it’s gone from complete old lady sag (I’m early 40’s - had 6 kids and 6 c-sections) to more youthful glow, elasticity, and with a little toning work with my muscles I have no doubt I will be comfortable in my own skin again and not embarrassed to be seen. This collagen mixes easy and has no taste. It has helped after two months. I can feel the difference in my joints. It might be my imagination but my skin seems to be clearing a bit too. Double Wood is a great pharmacy for many products and has a wonderful reputation. I get several of my products through them because I am sure of the quality.

While not exactly tasting great this seems to be helping me with my knees with long term cartilage damage. Pain and inflammation are greatly reduced and soft tissue seems to be showing improved healing. I'm hopeful it will continue. I will continue after this container. Hydrolized collagen is showing well in scientific testing so I have a degree of confidence. Doesn't clump, mixes with water well and is just about palatable.
