After working with KIWI, I have an outstanding product...
First posting: I connected the headgear, charged the battery, and took it for a test drive. My first impression was that it was comfortable, and after a short time, I could find the balance spot for my head. It doesn’t slip much, but as per any I used with my MQ2, readjustments need to be made during gameplay, as it does tend to rest on my cheekbones after a bit. This is nothing that I couldn’t live with. The battery did its job as it was depleted, and my headset still had a 3/4 battery when I finished a multiplayer game. It wasn’t until the following day, when I started to put it on that I noticed a small cut/tear along the seam about mid-way between front to back on the cushion for the crown of the head. I tried using the Amazon link to contact KIWI, as I thought just getting a replacement top strap would be more advantageous than a complete replacement. Besides, I already have everything connected to it. When I clicked the link, my anti-virus blocked the website. I contacted Amazon support because they’re always awesome; I chatted with an Amazon rep who told me we could not get just the top head strap. My first question was, why make it detachable if you can’t replace it? I didn’t mean to put her on the spot, nor did I expect her to be able to answer that, so after I apologized to her - I honestly was sorry, and besides, it wasn’t her fault. She told me to put in for a product replacement, switch the head strap, and return the new one. So that’s what we’re doing. I should receive it today, and I’m sure this one will be fine... I am giving 4 out of 5 stars because their quality control should have caught this. Update #1: I typed the above review, and now, after a few days, I want to update it. I am dropping my rating to 2 stars. The battery doesn’t extend the usage all that much. To top that, when I unplug it from the gaming area and take it to the office, after just two hours in standby mode, it is completely depleted and has to be plugged back in and charged back up. I think a battery, when not being used, should hold a charge longer than a couple of hours. I should have done a complete swap when they sent me one to replace the crown cushion. IDK if Amazon will work with me again, but I will try... I will add another update if they do. Update #2: In my previous update, I mentioned that I was afraid Amazon would not work with me again, but they did a total return/refund of the defective product. This was an unexpected surprise, and I considered the matter closed and moved on to a different-style battery to extend my gaming time. Then, I was contacted directly by the vendor KIWI. Let me say that this is a company that STANDS BEHIND their product. After I explained what happened and told them I considered the matter closed and had moved on to a competitor’s product, they asked if I would try their product again as they felt this was an oddity. –I always hear about this on YouTube; people receive products for review, but I have NEVER experienced anything like this. – After a few days, I received an unexpected package: the KIWI design Comfort Battery Head Strap. I connected it to my Quest., and after using it now for close to a month, giving it a full stress test before posting, I have to say that this headset is comfortable to wear (that was never an issue), and the battery is living up to what it is supposed to do. I can now use my Quest three ways: a) just with the KIWI headset battery. My gaming is significantly extended (as advertised), and I can stay on with most of my family & friends. b) Staying wireless using my other battery feeding into the KIWI, which can charge it as it feeds the Quest. Allowing me to stay online longer than anyone I know. c) With the AC power connected to the KIWI. This doesn’t charge the KIWI as fast as it discharges into the Quest, but using it after the first two methods, I can outlast myself. I had to leave the Metaverse to take a break and allow EVERYTHING to charge. I am returning my rating to 5 stars because of the product and KIWI’s customer service.

Amazing Product READ BEFORE YOU BUY!
I am writing this review to shed some light on products such as the battery head straps for the quest headsets. A lot of people have a misconception on how these headset batteries work so I am here to shed some light on that. These battery packs IN NO WAY CHARGE YOUR HEADSET WHILE YOU PLAY! THEY INFACT EXTEND BATTERY LIFE FOR ABOUT 3-5 HOURS DEPENDING ON HOW DEMANDING YOUR GAME IS. The Kiwi head strap is absolutely great, I am able to play my quest headset for about 5-6 hours gameplay IN ALL compared to the 1.5 hours gameplay without the battery strap. Granted every battery head strap I’ve owned takes a while to charge this one has my other batteries beat when it comes to recharge 30 mins it charges one column light so on all it might take you 1-2 hours to get a decent amount of charge. How it works is that while you are playing the strap battery is getting used up before the main battery. WITH THE EXCEPTION THAT THE MAIN BATTERY MIGHT GET DRAINED ABOUT 10% AND THE MAIN BATTERY WILL KICK ON AT 90% ONCE THE HEADSTRAP BATTERY DIES. I get about 2-3 hours EXTENDED SO 5-6 HOURS game play before the head strap dies on population one. And about 2 hours extra playtime when playing Real VR Fishing SO IN ALL 4-5 HOURSE GAMEPLAY. Yes it takes a while to recharge. If your playing your headset for over 10 hours touch some grass for once in your life. I play my headset everyday and I do sometimes hop back in before the battery is recharged. But over all for how much this Head Strap is and the quality of the battery and comfort I 100% recommend this head strap and it’s 100% worth the investment. P.S the amount of power you need to run vr is massive so the battery time this Kiwi Head Strap battery takes to charge is average for it is larger than a portable battery you would use for your phone. Happy gaming!

Best quest 3 headset on the market
My brother in law went through all the reviews and videos and said this was the one to buy, I was super skeptical but watched a few videos and ultimately decided on this as well. The setup was easy enough, and my kids love this over the original in box strap, and I have to say it removed the need for parental involvement to get the strap to fit right. This should be standard for meta quest units. You simply turn the dial to tighten or loosen and big plus it has a battery built in witch is a great balance for the headset as well. Also this is like half the price of the branded elite strap! All around win. Update... Only thing I don't like is how it will provide a continuous charge full or not, so you have to unplug the backup wire when not needed or it will drain power off or not.

This thing is pretty cool
This thing is comfy, and it does its job. If you're getting into VR, it's perfect. Especially with the trash battery life of the quest 3. It feels great on your head and face and is adjustable for any head size. It keeps the oculus alive for about an extra 2-2 1/2 hours, giving that freedom to roam your house while charging. The cons are few, but a little notable. This thing takes just about 2-3 hours to charge...which is fine if you charge over night. But if you forget, just prepare yourself to be strapped to a wall when using vr.

Great for comfort and longevity
Having owned a quest 2 and never buying a different head strap for it, I didn’t want to end up in the same situation with a quest 3. The stock head strap (combined with the stock facial interface) becomes very uncomfortable after maybe 15-30 minutes of use. I spent quite a bit of time researching which strap to buy and I’m sure like a lot of you I was between the bobo m3 pro and this one. I actually found myself leery of the bobo after seeing how many different reviewers were pushing it. It felt more like a sponsored rather than a good product. Due to sensing this I decided to go with kiwi strap and I’m glad I did as I’ve gotten the chance to try both now and feel I made the right decision. I purchased an aftermarket quest 3 for my girlfriend after seeing how much she liked it. This one came with the bobo vr strap mentioned. Comparing the two I’ve found the kiwi: 1. More comfortable, the top strap really seems to be a necessity for this. 2. Has a longer lasting battery, the two are very similar but it’s notable. 3. Is much easier to just throw on and quickly adjust. It takes seconds to get this back in a comfortable position which is a godsend if you need to clean the lenses while playing beat saber or the like. The bobo m3 pro felt more like I was installing an apparatus on my head and didn’t have quite the same range of adjustment. I will say there is a benefit to the bobo strap, having a swappable battery seems like it would be great if you’re playing for a long time or if you forget to charge the headset after using. If you think you’re going to be playing for more than few hours at a time it may be worth it to go with that one. If you’re looking for comfort, like I was after dealing with stock quest 2 equipment, go with this one. In addition to this strap I also bought the kiwi controller grips with battery door. There’s a ton of copycat designs for around the same price, I just went with that one because I was already getting this strap and there was a percentage off. I bought the amvr facial interface with the “ice silk” cover as well. These three things together have made the quest comfortably playable for hours at a time when I would have started to feel uncomfortable after only 15-30 minutes previously. Go with whichever strap seems best for you, but if you for example find yourself leaning one way or another due to YouTube channels with $10s of thousands of dollars of vr equipment but a number of subscribers that seems low for their production value, I’d question the true nature of their review.

Surprisingly good and worth the money!
When I purchased this headstrap and battery combo I was looking to improve on the original Quest 3 comfort. I looked around online for a decent headstrap and kept finding people were getting better results when a battery pack was helping distribute the weight from the overly front heavy HMD. I saw that this product by Kiwi had lots of good reviews and for the price, decided to give them a chance. I must say, I don't regret it at all! It in fact has been a great little addition to the Quest 3. I'm writing this review over 1 year after purchase, and I can't stress I am very pleased with it. Fits great for me, makes the HMD better balanced which improves stability. Not to mention it was at a great price when compared to Meta's version. The head strap has a padded area that helps with improving fit and comfort, as well as at the back of the head. Over a year now with it and it still providing extended times. I'm not a heavy user though and never took the time to track how much additional time it gives, but it is much more than the standard headset provides. I know that much because I've been in situations where I learned the hard way about the Quest 3 desire to stay on despite shutting it down which left me only the HMD's internal battery to use. That, did not last long the times I've used it as such. So I was surprised on several occasions when I picked up my Quest 3 and saw the HMD was running on its own internal battery. The Kiwi battery was discharged. I found it weird because I left it fully charged over night before unplugging the Kiwi battery from the wall charger. Little did I know that what happened was that the HMD after being shutdown, continues to operate a state of charge indicater, while it remains plugged to a power source. That is, because the battery was plugged to the HMD (the Quest 3), the HMD considered it a regular charger and continued to run the face sensors and battery SoC sensors. If you activated the sensor by using a cover on the lenses you would even activate the display. My thoughts are that the designers realized they have no external way of showing SoC of the battery on the Quest 3. So they decided it would just turn on the screen to show you the SoC of the battery. The point is, because the battery was plugged into the HMD the HMD did not fully shutdown draining the battery. Once I found out about that I began unplugging the battery from the HMD when I was done. Which pretty much solved that issue instantly. That is by far not a problem from this product but rather a behavior of the Quest itself. Now, again, I'm not the most verse individual with the Quest 3 but I know a thing or two, so I'm almost ashamed to admit I didn't really learn thoroughly my Quest 3. It took me forever to learn about the facial interface and how it can be adjusted for things like wearing glasses. I had a period of use with this headstrap and battery where I still felt as if the weight was heavy on my face. Almost like I wasn't getting even distribution. I felt the pressure most on my nose. I adjusted the distance between the eyes several times to see if I was just pinching it. Well, when I finally found out about the facial interface adjustments I immediately felt the results. No more pinched nose and the weight seemed to lift off my face. Before, using the original straps, the headset felt when loose like it would slide down my face and when tightened it felt like it would pop off over my head. With this, the headstrap feels well placed on my head and doesn't feel like it would either fall or pop off. I highly recommend it for anyone with a Quest 3 (I can't speak for any other Quest, I only own the 3).

Very comfortable.
This is so much more comfortable than the stock Quest 3 strap. It has a nice balance and you don't have to tighten the headband that tight for it to sit nicely on your head. You only have to snug it up if you are doing some apps that need a lot of activity like beat saber. The Kiwi battery does keep the headset charged for quite a while. An extra 2 hours of usage seems about right. Maybe it will go longer since I haven't even run it down to zero yet. Of course it depends on your app. The battery on the Kiwi only charges at 8.1 watts so it will take a while to charge. It is best to charge the KIWI and the Quest separately to speed things up. I also unplug the Kiwi from the Quest when I'm not using it since it is constantly on and trying to charge the Quest and I assume this would cause a slow drain. Overall I'm 98% satisfied with the Kiwi. Faster charging would get that to 100%.

A world of difference
I ordered the Kiwi battery head-strap, but I received my package incomplete. The top strap and the cushion were missing, so I contacted Kiwi customer service. They were really helpful and resolved everything quickly. I also ordered my second strap here, and it arrived a few days ago. Everything was good. The quality of the head-strap is top-notch; all the parts feel like they are made of good materials. However, the reason I am most happy is because of the comfort. It's a world of difference; I can play really long sessions without feeling any pain in my forehead. I had the default strap with an additional item (head back padding) to make it more comfortable, but it didn't work out that well. The Kiwi head-strap has been a huge comfort improvement. The battery comes in handy; the Quest 3 battery drains so fast. Having a battery backup is a must if you want to extend your playing time. To the people complaining about charging times, please read the manual. If you only charge the Kiwi battery, it'll take 3.5 hours, and if you charge both the Kiwi battery and Q3, it'll take 5 hours. I see it as normal; Q3 alone takes up to 2.5 hours to get fully charged, so I don't see it as an inconvenience. I am used to long charging times. I really recommend getting this battery strap to improve your gaming experience. If you have any issues, do not hesitate to contact Kiwi support; they are really nice people.

Adds 2 to 3 hours of play to the Quest 3. Comfortable.
I tried a couple of others, sent them back and finally got this one. It adds a solid 2+ hrs of gameplay using 80% brightness AND AR passthrough on the Quest 3, and over 3hrs of gameplay with 50% brightness and no AR passthrough. (Tested on Synthriders). The quality is excellent, it's not too heavy, even the packaging was of surprisingly good quality. From the moment I opened the box I had a feeling this was a much better item than the others I'd used. It is comfortable, doesn't fall off during vigorous gameplay, and is adjustable using the strap on a tightening wheel on the back for quick tightening and release. It came pre-charged at around 70%, which all lithium batteries should. A few other brands I bought came empty or less than 10%, which indicates poor battery quality or poor storage. I would definitely recommend this add on for the quest 3.

Do not buy this please
Battery lights remain on after 4-5 charging sessions (same as other users are having here) and it never charges Meta again. Do not waste your money on this.

Great addition to the Quest 3
There are so many choices when you search for a replacement head strap for the Quest 3, the stock strap is quite uncomfortable and i found myself constantly adjusting it, also quite painful after about 30 mins or so. The packaging of this product feels premium, very apple like, the quality feels great straight away. Setting up the strap was very simple, only took a few mins, once attached, my first thought was, why Meta didn’t provide a strap like this, it looks really nice and is a perfect match for the Quest, the colours are spot on. I have worn this headset with the Kiwi strap for a few hours now, so early days, it is incredibly comfortable, initially when i ordered this i was a little concerned how the weight would be with the attached battery, to be honest it feels even lighter than before, it’s very well balanced. The attached battery lasts a long time, after an hour or so i still had 1 bar left plus a full charge on the Quest which is great. Only minor critisism / feature request would be for an on / off switch at the back to disconnect the battery from the headset, maybe i am doing something wrong here, but if left plugged in to the headset, with the headset off, the battery is depleting. A very easy and well deserved 5 stars for this product
