While one would think it would effect greasy or oily looking and feeling hair based on the ingredients, it does not. It seems to be quite lightweight and I think the best way to describe the effect that it has is to say that it provides a "slip" to my curls that make them bouncier and shinier and seems to protect against frizz. What I especially love about this product is that, unlike so many of the other products on the market (like ALL of them!) I've found to be just rather greasy, if not done right slimy, and they attract dirt/dust. While they might make one's hair look nicer for the first few minutes, after just a little while it seems that shiny frizz is produced that attracts dust or dirt. That doesn't happen with this product. YAY! My favorite way to use it is to put three squirts into my dollop of hair conditioner after shampooing. I use Clairol Herbal Essences Rose Hip Conditioner after shampooing with Johnson's Baby Shampoo. YES... I have found that with my naturally curly and extraordinarily fine hair that Johnson's Baby Shampoo is the ONLY shampoo that does not cause dryness and other strange things to happen to my hair. Ignore the nonsense about sulfates. They are a NECESSARY agent to lift the oil and sebum and dirt from one's hair especially if it is super baby fine like mine. Because of the fact that oil does not get distributed well through curly hair it does need a little bit of help and that's where this amazing Nexxus product comes in. After rinsing my conditioner and Nexxus oil combination out, I use Nexxus Cashmere Curls Gel Cream on my towel dried hair all by itself. For the top of my hair, which I will either loosen the curl with with a curling brush or a blow dryer, when my hair is almost dry, I mix one squirt of this in with another squirt of the Nexxus Cashmere Curls to protect it from the heat when I am finishing it. It is almost unbelievable how well the two Nexxus products work together. It is an extremely pleasant and welcome bonus that this product smells so amazing too! It is not so overpowering that it will clash with your favorite perfume. It leaves a pleasant, very light scent throughout your hair. I LOVE the smell of the Nexxus Cashmere Curls Gel Cream too but it very rapidly dissipates. When I mix a little bit of this in with that the scent is just very pleasant and seems to last. I keep one bottle in the shower so that I have it handy by my hair conditioner and one bottle with my styling tools. OH! I almost forgot to mention...purely by accident did I discover that it is also wonderful for your cuticles. When I got my first bottle I was so enamored with the scent that I didn't rinse it off of my hands when I first used it and I found myself massaging my cuticles. It softens them and makes them much less noticeable between manicures but doesn't make my hands or fingertips feel oily or greasy.

Smells wonderful like roses. Fantastic formula light and smooth. Gotta apply quickly because it will soak into the hair very fast. Great finishing oil

I was worried about getting this because I’ve tried a lot of hair oils and they always leave my hair feeling and looking like it needs a wash. Not this one! It works very well, It’s lightweight so you only notice the difference in softness of your hair, and it doesn’t look nasty. My hair is usually dry but after using this (on either dry or damp hair) my hair feels hydrated! I have hair down to my mid back and use 3-5 pumps depending on how evenly I spread it from mid lengths to the ends. I also like to add 1-2 more pumps on my dry hair because it does have a faint & pleasant scent to it that I can’t get enough of (I am obsessed with my hair smelling good). It comes in a decently sized bottle, with a good amount of oil for the price. All around a great addition to my hair health routine! Highly recommend!

One of my favorite hair products to use. The Nexxus hair oil leaves your hair feeling soft and moisturized for the day. Sole other brands leaves your hair feeling oily where the nexxus does not. It has repaired my to a super soft feel. Many other brands leaves your hands oily where this one doesn’t. I use daily on dry and wet hair and style or straighten as usual. Great value for the money due to the fact you don’t need a lot for it to do its job. Love the smell as well.

I've been trying to find an oil for my fine wavy hair and a lot of them were either too heavy or sticky. But I really like this one. You don't need a lot. I have shoulder length hair and one pump is enough to tame my fly aways.

I’ll give 5 stars for functionality as far as it has improved my dead ends and it doesn’t look greasy once dried just shiny and pretty but I am not a fan of the smell. It is mild, but it gives me more of an old lady vibe. I am all about the good smells it’s not bad enough to take a star though.

Really like this hair oil! It feels lightweight, absorbs well, and doesn’t leave my hair greasy. My hair looks smoother, shinier, and healthier after using it. A little goes a long way and it fits perfectly into my routine!

I have curly hair and processed right now with bleach so it gets super knotted, frizzy, and hard to manage, and it's a lot of thin hair. I had a hard time trying to figure out how to make this work for me. The picture shows my next-day hair with this oil and the Moroccan oil in it, which did absolutely nothing. I've played around with it and realized I need to section my damp hair into 4 parts, use a TON of this oil, use a hairdryer, a brush/comb, and use my hands to smooth my hair out, then use a leave-in conditioner and another oil to really add shine and be frizz free. This oil by it self does what it says it will, repair and nourish, which I'm seeing as I use more of the product in my hair. It's more manageable (takes out some knots) and somewhat smoothens, but adds absolutely no shine or sheen and does nothing for frizz control. It does have a nice smell that lasts a while and is not greasy.
