Fine for mounting an optic on a small caliber firearm
These scope rings are suitable for the situations where you want to get some extra height on an optic on your small caliber firearm, or if you want to preserve the utility of your iron sights along with your optic. The rings raise your scope exactly 1" from the top of the picatinny rail and offer a view underneath about 11/16" high. This would be fine for mounting a small-objective lens optic and retaining the ability to use your iron sights as well. I stress that these rings are for low-caliber firearms because they are far from the most robust rings. There is only one screw that holds the rings to the picatinny rail, and each ring is held together with only one screw on each side. I predict that counting on these rings to hold a large optic steady on a large caliber firearm will not be a satisfying experience. However, for a .22, this would be perfect. Apart from the limitations noted above, these are nice rings with a good looking finish. They seem well built and the fit and finish is nice.
