New iPhone = new spy-fy case. I used a previous model case from this company on my iPhone 13 pro and have been very pleased with how well it performed over the years. I’ve just upgraded to an iPhone 15 pro, so I went looking to see if they had a newer version of the case. I was happy to see they do and it’s got some welcome improvements. The previous model had a raised casing around the cameras which had slightly cracked on my old case - but the sliding cover still just about worked! This newer model has a hinged flap instead of a sliding cover, I’m interested to see how it holds up over time, but for now it feels very sturdy and also acts as a kickstand (not a feature I will personally use - but I can see it being very useful). The main benefit of these cases vs others is the front facing camera cover. I wasn’t sure how well the design would hold up when I brought the older case, but it’s latest a couple of years without any problems, so I’m hopeful it will be the same with this model! They even throw in an extra little flappy flap thing in the box. The other big upgrade on this case vs the older model is the MagSafe compatibility which is a welcome addition! The case itself is much grippier than the previous one and all the buttons have a good feel to them. Overall I’m very happy with it and I would recommend this case to other iPhone users.

Good case. I wish the front camera cover was more sturdy though, easily slides back up. If it clicked more into place and then clicked back off like the back one does, otherwise no problems so far.

I was really excited to buy this case and used it for a few months. While it has some strong points, I ultimately had to switch to another one. * Pros: - The built-in privacy covers for the front and back cameras are a great idea. - I’m still looking for a front camera cover like this one—it’s not a common feature and is genuinely useful. * Cons: - Unfortunately, the front camera cover piece is poorly designed. It doesn’t stay securely in place and slips off easily. I ended up losing mine. - The overall quality of the case is disappointing. The material feels cheap and flimsy. - The back camera slider is vertical, which interferes with using phone holders and other accessories. A horizontal design would have been more practical. - The case is made of a low-grade plastic that lacks grip. When placed vertically, the phone tends to slip. Using better materials like polycarbonate or TPU would improve both grip and durability. In summary, this case is below average overall but offers good protection and has a useful privacy concept that just needs better execution.

This case is perfect for those privacy-conscious people like myself, especially given the recent breaches in iOS that have been widely reported in the news. The price is a little high for the build quality but so far I've had no problems and the case does the job well, covering both cameras and staying in the desired setting when being put in/out of my pocket. Highly recommend.

First impressions, may update later: Con: it's a little heavier/bulkier than I might have preferred. I think the company was more concerned with making a protective (from drops) case than a super light case. I bought an extra light phone and would make a different trade-off, but maybe this isn't your concern. I know they also had to make it a bit thicker in order for the back camera cover to work. Pro: it seems to do a great job of covering the cameras (especially the front, which I was most concerned with). As the descriptions indicates, facial recognition still works, even with front camera covered. I used to stick a piece of colored tape on the front camera of my old phone, but it doesn't stick well on the new phone. I'm aware that I might be paranoid to want to cover that front camera, but having an uncovered little "eye" look at me whenever I take my phone out makes me uncomfortable nonetheless. This case is doing what I most wanted, so I will give it 5 stars now, despite the cons above. The only thing I think that will lower my rating is if that little tab for the front camera cover breaks off - I'm not sure how durable it is yet. My ideal phone case might be a more slimmed down front camera cover-only case. Update July 2021, about 6 months later: Still works great! I see comments that the back cover pops off. It does occasionally on a fall, but then it pops right back on. It turns out I really like having the option to cover the back camera too. The case has been very protective of my phone when I drop it. Now I'm glad that it's a more protective case than I had originally thought I needed. The front cover clicks into place and has been great. I've gotten used to the weight of the case. I would still give this five out of five stars. I would buy this phone case again, no question.

Nachdem ich einige Rezensionen, auch aus dem 1-2 Sterne-Bereich, gelesen hatte, waren meine Erwartungen an die Handyhülle (für mein Iphone 15) sehr niedrig und ich dachte bei mir, dass das wahrscheinlich ein typischer Fehlkauf war. Dieser Eindruck hat sich nicht bestätigt (darum scheibe ich auch diese Rezension, ohne Gegenleistung)! Denn ich bin jetzt nach 1 Woche Benutzung damit sehr zufrieden. Der Preis ist zwar etwas teuer, aber für ein Nischenprodukt auch noch gerechtfertigt, zumindest für das was man bekommt. Die Haptik der Hülle ist, für Kunststoff, relativ geschmeidig und gar nicht klebrig und es sind auch keine Grade/Nähe von der Produktion vorhanden, also völlig i.O.. Auch die semi-transparente Rückseite hinterlässt, anders als erwartet, nur wenige sichtbare Fingerabdrücke. Nur für meinen Geschmack hätte der "smokey" Ton eine Note heller seien können. Die (Haupt-)Kameraabdeckung sitzt bei mit sehr fest. In meinem Fall halte ich es nicht möglich, dass sich diese ausversehen in der Tasche öffnet (anders als teils beschrieben) und berührt auch nicht die Kameraobjektive. Die Kameraabdeckung lässt sich aber nur ca. in einem 150 Grad Winkel öffnen, also selbst wenn das Handy mit offener Abdeckung herunterfällt, sollte nicht viel passieren. Die Frontkameraabdeckung, so schein mir in Anbetracht des technisch Möglichen, (anhand der Dynamic Island) eine praktische Lösung und tut ihren Zweck, für den der sie braucht. Bei der Frontkameraabdeckung wurde jedoch der Rahmen etwas verstärkt, dadurch sind nur kleinere Panzergläser (also ohne schwarzen Rahmen) möglich, neben der Hülle, am Handy anzubringen. Der Rahmen der Hülle ragt auch ca. 1mm über das Display des Iphone 15. Bei mir hat sogar noch ein kleineres Panzerglas auf das Display gepasst und es berührt nicht die Oberfläche eines Tisches oder ähnlichem. Die Knöpfe an der Hülle sind aus Metall gearbeitet und gut eingefasst. Leider verändert sich aber bei mir der Druckwiderstand zu einem leichteren Druckgefühl, als zu ohne Hülle. Das gefällt mir nicht ganz so sehr, ist aber sicherlich auch Geschmacksfrage. Drum bin ich mit dem Produkt sehr zufrieden und die kleinen Mankos fallen für mich nicht so sehr ins Gewicht. Zumindest nach meinem Kauf kann ich die schlechten Rezensionen nicht wirklich bestätigen und würde der Hülle eine 4,5/5 geben (ich habe dann nach den Rundungsregeln natürlich eine 5-Sterne Bewertung abgegeben).

Five years ago there was a company that made similar front/back camera cover phone cases. They didn’t keep up with the changing phone models fast enough though. Either Spy-fy wasn’t around back then, or they didn’t market their product. I would “google” every few months to see if another company had started making them, then suddenly Spy-fy finally popped up in my search. So prior to that , I had been ordering cheap $6.00 cases that only cover the back camera. This Spy-fy case is exactly like those cheap $6.00 cases, EXCEPT, it has this little 5 cent plastic piece that covers the front camera too. Will I pay $38 more for this nickel piece? Certainly! At least until there is a better option. This case is as good as you’re going to get for now. It’s actually a pretty good case for 12 pro max, with just a couple issues. Back camera cover surprisingly stays closed on its own at least 90% of the time. It kinda slightly clicks into closed position which is good. Once in awhile I’ll look down and it’s unexpectedly open, but rarely. Front camera case doesn’t flop open on its own or anything- which is great, but it does tend to come open just from regular use. Rule of thumb: when I pick up my phone to use it, I automatically check both camera covers. It gets to be so easy I can do it by feel and doesn’t add extra time. Just a good safety back up. Due to the outrageously high price and the slight problem with not always clicking into closed position, I would normally only give it 3-4 stars….if Spy-Fy had any competition.. The other companies have seemed to “drop out of the race” and Spy-Fy is just about the only show in town. For that reason alone, and the fact that I’ve been waiting 2 years for another company to resume making these front/back cover cases, I will give a 5 star. UPDATE JULY 2022: I had ordered a second case as a back up just in case the company goes out of business/ quits making the 12 pro max. Haven’t needed it yet. Yay! This case still works as well as it did almost a year ago. Everything working as described initially. I’m extremely pleased with this case. I’m very rough on phones, and this case has held up nicely. Update: Feb 2024. Still haven’t needed the back up case I purchased 2 years ago. Yay! This case is still working wonderfully. It seems to be improving with age if that’s possible. It seems to have kind of melded nicely with my phone. The slides never come open unexpectedly. It is very durable after 2 1/2 years of constant usage and dropping and hitting the phone. No complaints at all. This case is outlasting my phone itself! Lol. I give it a full 5 stars! I love this high tech company. Can’t wait to try their newest case when we upgrade to a 15 pro max.

The case included spare parts (for replacement back and front camera covers), which was a nice touch. Case itself is solid and protective. Seller was also very responsive and helpful.
